I just had a cute idea! I saw in your work that grimmjow can make pastries too thanks to his French side and culinary experience. What if his and his s/o have been dating and he makes some for them and the s/o is like “wow! So good! Where did you get these?!” And he finally admits he made them then the s/o just kinda stared at him and quietly/unknowingly chokes out an “I think I love you”(this being the first ‘I love you in the relationship). Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Silence followed sharply as if all the air had been sucked out and even the ticking clock in the next room seemed muffled. They just stood, eyes locked as crumbs awkwardly clung around their lips. Even as a few fell from their chin, he kept his wide eyes on theirs. 

The chocolate between their fingers melted and they managed to straighten before the eclair in their hands fell. “I--uh...”

He just kept staring, an eyebrow cocked just enough that they couldn’t tell if it was playful or bewildered. The faintest pink was brushing against his cheeks.

“I’m--” They shoved the rest of the pastry into their mouth and just abruptly walked past him into the bathroom to clean up.

He stared at where they had just been, his own pastry forgotten in front of him. He let out a hitched breath as he craned his neck to look at the locked door behind him. Slowly a small, ridiculous grin crossed his face.

“Love you too...”

💞 How do you win their heart?

Ulquiorra: It’s not an easy process, but very slow especially if he’s denying what feelings he has. Allow him to ask questions and learn, while also not forcing him to change. Eventually something will click in his stubborn skull and he’ll hate it. He needs to be given hope and something to strive for.

Grimmjow: Be unapologetically open. He admires toughness of any kind, including emotional and mental. He’s easy to fluster and something about someone being themselves while not taking his shit makes him weak. Once more physical touch comes into play, he’s in trouble.

🔪 Do they try to be a good influence on their s/o or do they not care?

It’s not that he doesn’t care, he just doesn’t know how to be a good influence, especially from the human perspective. He’s not one to like being kept constrained by many people and so he doesn’t really like to do the same to others. 

💗 How do they show affection?

Soft, almost insignificant touches are his favorite. Just brushing up against his partner makes him purr lightly. Touch means everything to him and sometimes he’ll want to wallow in them and be smothered. He’s not much for words, so he expresses himself better through physical contact. 

💞 How do you win their heart?

By allowing him to exist as he is. He’s not the easiest to get along with and will admit it, but he’s a creature of habit. He needs someone who can acknowledge how he is and allow him to adapt as he sees fit. Being in love with his tentacles doesn’t hurt.

🍀 What’s their love language?

Physical touch and words of affirmation. Once comfortable with physical affection as the relationship progresses, he will start to ask for words of affirmation in the form of insecure questions. It takes a while for him to be able to voice his needs in a way that doesn’t make him feel pathetic. 

🌼 How do they view their significant other? Are they the light in their life? Best friend? Savior, etc.?

To him, they’re a source of comfort in an otherwise uncaring world. They’re a light that doesn’t hurt. He clings to their softness, so they don’t slip through his fingers.

His natural inclination is to love and submit. He enjoys being an instrument to those he cares about and will do whatever they ask of him. Being loved back seems like wishful thinking, but to experience it would send him on a rush. He won’t know what to do with himself if someone were to smother him in all their adoration.

💘 Do they take the time to learn more about their crush by talking/asking or observing?

His crush starts low and slow, so he would just hang around and observe at first. He takes his time as his feelings just settle until he’s able to compose himself around them and take a more hands-on approach. But he’s content to just enjoy their company and watch.

🌸 How often do they say ‘I love you’?

He is much more of an acts of service and physical person; he prefers to show, not tell. However, when in a particularly sentimental mood he’ll shower his s/o with soft words. He shows his love everyday, but will only say it if the mood is right or if his partner says it first.

🌻 Will they do anything for their s/o? Will the crocodile tears win them over or are they stubborn on not giving in?

No crocodile tears needed for him to do as they ask. As long as what they ask doesn’t make a fool of him, he’ll do it, no hesitation. He lives to serve and make them happy.

💋 How do they kiss?

At first, it’s very rough and stoic. It takes a while to allow himself to relax and let go. He’s still unsure even as it becomes habit and if left to his own devices will get rougher and almost desperate. He likes as many points of contact as he can get and will press his whole body into the act.

💚 What’s their type?

Someone who doesn’t look down on him. Hollows don’t really have a concept of “types”, but they are drawn to softness. Di Roy wants someone who will see him as a whole being without any pity in their eyes. And someone who’s a little adventurous with a playful sense of humor.

💔 How do you break their heart?

Use him and treat him like he’s less than garbage. Also completely ignoring and disregarding him. He couldn’t handle it.

❌ Are they scared of being in love?

He’s not scared of love, per say, but he’s scared of the possible hurt that comes with it. He knows where he’s not up to par and is afraid of failing.

👁 What’s their favorite part of their s/o?

Their mouth. Not even in an inherently sexual way either. He likes expressive faces and loves the way their dimples dip when they smile and the way their Cupid’s bow dips when they pout. He likes how soft they are against his rough skin when they skim his collar bone.

🎉 Are they a fan of nicknames? Do they prefer cutesy, traditional or silly ones?

He’s not really a fan of them, but if he had to choose he prefers traditional ones like love or sweetheart.

She’s very susceptible to genuine compliments. Any kind of sincere affection and admiration makes her soft. Gentle touches make her melt. It’s actually very easy to make her red and unless alone, she’ll adamantly deny how weak she is.

💖 Do they like PDA or are they a private person?

PDA is a sort of game to her and she’ll use it as a way of showing ownership. It’ll take some convincing that she doesn’t need to be so defensive and that love can be given freely without being a show. She’s a sucker for hand holding and kisses to the forehead in public.

💐 Do they enjoy giving compliments or do they like getting them more? What kind of compliments do they give/like?

Both fluster her and she’s not particularly good at giving them, but she does try. They tumble out of her clumsily to the point where they’ll sound like nonsense. When given compliments, her stomach flutters, especially when they’re about her as a person rather than her appearance.

Do to the harsh nature of hollows, at first she sees them as a savior and something to live for and cling to. They give her life meaning and she does all she can for them. If given the time and care she needs, they’ll teach her she has her own worth and will see them as a friend and more equal.

Loly falls and attaches herself fairly quickly. At first it will feel obsessive and consuming as she becomes possessive. She’ll lash out until she can come to terms with her feelings and decide what she’ll do with them.

What would Espada reaction be when they woke up next to their S/O, and their S/O was watching them sleeping with cute soft sleepy eyes and whispering sweet things like "i love you" etc. Would they hide their blush in the pillows or they were shocked that they get up too fast they fell out of the bed? I can imagine the later one with certain Espada lol 😆

Starrk: He’d lean into them and become a mess once the initial surprise passes. He absolutely soaks up all their softness and would fall back asleep in their arms.

Halibel: She would be one of the most composed, but would definitely blush and be eternally grateful most of her face is already covered. She’d have trouble speaking and be resigned to just sighing and being flustered.

Ulquiorra: He’s initially very perplexed and is quick to dismiss himself from the situation. However, he will think back on the moment while he processes his feelings and then gets frustrated by how confusing they are. He’d never admit how much he enjoyed it when looking back on it.

Nnoitra: No. He stiffens and will push himself away. He gets really uncomfortable with the softness and doesn’t feel deserving. It would take some gentle coaxing to get him to a place to accept that affection.

Grimmjow: Nothing gets him red faster. He becomes a squirming, flustered mess and melts into them. Good luck getting him unglued from their side.

Szayel: Despite his usual composure, genuine softness gets to him and he will feel uneasy. He would bury his reddening face into his pillows. They can never tell anyone how weak they make him.

Aaroniero: Instinctively, he’ll pull away from the unexpectedness. It would take a little bit of talking to get him to remember he’s not in any danger and will quickly warm up to the affection.

How would the espada react to a witchy s/o? Like a modern pagan that collects crystals, makes tea, meditates, burns incenses, etc.

As a witch myself, this ask makes me very happy 😂.

Starrk: At first he’s very skeptical. He sort of stays skeptical, but he becomes accustomed to it and comes to really enjoy the scent of herbs all the time.

Halibel: She finds it quite soothing. While she has her own doubts, she enjoys seeing the comfort it brings them. She particular likes the crystals and incenses.

Ulquiorra: They would have to be prepared for a lot of questions and nitpicking. He doesn’t necessarily dislike it, but he just doesn’t see the point of it. It’s not something that will really stick to him.

Nnoitra: He isn’t outright dismissive, but he’s incredibly doubtful. He doesn’t really play along and just lets them have their space and time. He can appreciate some of the smells and even healing salves they can make.

Grimmjow: He’s going to question a lot, but it’s more from curiosity than dismissal. He will prefer specific scents though, due to his sensitivity and be very picky. He would get jumpy while they’re mediating.

Zommari: The absolute most into it. While he questions the theistic part, he understands the rest and finds it comforting to have someone else who can just sit with him.

Szayel: He’s kind of a shit about it at first and somewhat demeaning. However, if given the mental stimulation of a debate and a conversation, he can come to the reasoning of a placebo effect and take it more in stride. He can at least see the scientific, medical side of herbs and such.

Aaroniero: He doesn’t get it, but doesn’t pay it enough mind to be bothered by it. He at least finds most incense enjoyable and likes when they mediate in the dark.

Espada with Piercings

I have a few piercings (ears, nostril, and belly button) and would love more. Human au since hierro is tough to pierce.

Starrk: he’s not really a piercing guy and he’s not the biggest fan of pain. However, he likes the aesthetic of pierced ears and labrets; he’d have to really think about it before he got something.

Halibel: she got her belly button pierced as soon as she was of legal age. It’s a fun surprise for people who only see her more stoic demeanor. She’s got a tiny stud in her nose and only puts in bigger jewelry when she’s going out.

Ulquiorra: nope. He just doesn’t understand the point. Occasionally he’ll see something he appreciates, but that’s it.

Nnoitra: he has the perfect tongue for a piercing. He’s very into piercings and has several in his ears, and his nipples.

Grimmjow: definitely has his ears done and an industrial. I feel like he might go for a tongue or lip piercing (maybe a labret or medusa) for the aesthetic and for mouth stimming.

Zommari: ears, septum, and nostril, not necessarily in that order. He always makes sure his jewelry matches and is very particular about keeping it clean.

Szayel: he has his nipples and belly button pierced, but not for sexual reasons. He just likes the way they look on his body and they make him feel good about it. And it’s the twink thing to do.

Aaroniero: snake bites and gages. He’s very indecisive about what piercings he wants, so he doesn’t have anymore; he just wants them to be symmetrical.

Hi! Let say if the Espadas' s/o give them a smartphone so it's easier for contacting when they're away. What would their reaction be? Who would be good at it or break it multiple times? And who would secretly take their s/o photo as a wallpaper? I think that scene would be so cute 😳

Hey! ❤️ Oh this could go so many ways...

Starrk: He gets the concept of a smartphone relatively quickly, but isn’t interested in any other functions besides calling and texting. He immediately turns the sound off so it’s vibrate only. Lilynette takes an obnoxious selfie with him in the background as his lock screen, but his s/o is the home screen.

Halibel: She takes it well also. She’s fascinated by search engines and having the knowledge of the world in her hands. She enjoys the idea of being able to hear her s/o’s voice when they’re away. If she figures out how to save images, she saves a lot of scenic nature views.

Ulquiorra: The concept of the machine seems relatively simple. However, let him on Google for too long and he will break the phone. At first, he thinks it’s ridiculous that he’d ever use the thing; if he wanted their company he’d just see them. Sometimes he just stares at the blank screen waiting for a call or a text.

Nnoitra: He definitely cracks the screen the first day he has it. Getting him used to the phone would take a while to adjust to the sudden new noises. He doesn’t feel bothered to initiate any contact first because the phone frustrates him.

Grimmjow: Also drops the phone and cracks it. The gesture of being given the phone kind of flusters him after the explanation. He prefers texting and likes the rhythmic clicking. He doesn’t use it for anything else though, too careful to bring it outside his room. His home screen is definitely a picture of his s/o, but no one will ever know.

Szayel: He catches on to the technology fast and is the best at it. He appreciates the gesture and uses it to chat all the time. At one point, he manages to connect it to his own technology and use it in his lab.

Aaroniero: He is utterly confused by it. He doesn’t see the point when he can just see them when he wants, but relents eventually. He doesn’t use it for much else and sometimes forgets he even has it.

What do the Fraccionés do when the Espadas are absent because of different reasons?

I mean... depends on the Fraccionés and there are too many to do individually, but the main things are train, mope around, or just wait. A small collection include:

Sung-Sun: She collects things, mostly seashells. She’ll travel to the world of the living and just chill at beaches where it’s quiet and have time to herself. Sometimes she meditates.

Lilynette: She sneaks off to arcades or candy stores. She needs constant stimulation, otherwise she bounces off the walls.

Charlotte: He’s very aware of pop culture and likes staying updated on music and art. He’s got a record player and it’s his most prized possession.

Nakeem: He paints and is weirdly precise with detail. It’s his form of escapism from the barrage of Di Roy and Yylfordt.
