“I know I never went to school, but the dog thing definitely doesn’t happen if they put their assignments away properly. But I guess I’ll tolerate this kid’s late work...only because you’re vouching for them. Really, if they let us do everything electronically, this wouldn’t be an issue. They could hand in their assignments from their hospital beds and have no excuses.”

“Okay but what if, like, I brought in a note that said you had to, ‘cuz, like, I dunno. I’ve got dyschronometria or something? Would you take my late work then?”

“If you actually have dyschronometria, I’ll work with you on it, but I’ll need something from a doctor to prove it. And not something signed by your mother, I know she’s a doctor but I’d want something unbiased. I just can’t allow students to claim mental problems when they don’t actually suffer from them, that kind of takes away from those who actually suffer, don’t you think?”

“I’m sorry, is this a bad time…?” The senior rapped lightly on the door as the teacher spoke, clutching the bright red book in her hand. “My name’s Elena Pendragon. I was told to go to this class. Espionage?”

“Not at all,” Natasha gave the new student a slight smile and gestured for her to come in. “I was just giving the usual speech on my tolerance for assignments. So, is espionage a new subject altogether for you or do you have some background experience?”

Peter threw her a g r i n , the suppression of the laughter not going all that unnoticed– “I can HANDLE way more–y’know it, Nat.” The friendly banter had him practically bouncing, despite his current state. Peter was always like this–bouncy, active, all too raring to go when around the other Avengers. “Nah, nah, I’m gonna go into class in my suit again–it’s really NIFTY for things like this. ‘sides. kids love it.”

This time she didn’t bother covering up her smirk. “I’m sure they do. You should take up another class, How To Make A Supersuit 101,” she laughed but in reality, she could picture it going pretty well. “People these days go for flashy and stylish instead of practical and durable. It’s a shame. They don’t even put effort into finding a signature logo anymore.”

Natasha was…trustworthy, as long as he kept his morals in line. And Peter didn’t have any trouble doing that. Chuckling at her suggestion, he threw her a cocky smirk. “–And DEPRIVE the world of seein’ the outline of my rippling abs? Almost as bad as lettin’ the bad guys get free.” Peter managed to keep the smirk as the hiss of breath came from the slight sting of the disinfectant, “Easy, Red. I ain’t about the vinaigrette dressin’.”

Rolling her eyes, she hid the laugh that tried to escape her, instead just smiled slightly. “Come on, someone with rippling abs can’t handle a little burn?” Natasha covered up the wounds and crossed her arms as she looked him over. “You better not let the kids see you like this, not all of them are as used to the sight of blood as all of ours.”

“Peter?” she saw his wounds and sighed. “Have you ever thought of getting yourself a thicker suit? I might absorb more of the blows,” Natasha pointed out as she got her first aid kit and reached over to disinfect the cuts on his face.

“Leia Dameron.” She replied simply. She was sure that the professor would associate her name with her father’s, and that it’d put a face to a name. “Sometimes I’m in the records as Andromeda Carosa, though. It just depends.” She added with a small smile.

The first name given was all Natasha needed, but when Leia mentioned a second, she became more curious. “Nice to meet you, Leia. Or do you prefer Andromeda? I’m assuming that was your name before you were adopted, it must have been hard to change it.”
