The Food - Colombian Inspired (Sweets/Treats) + Traditional birthday treats

Piñata filled with various candies and miniature liquor bottles. White cake in the shape of a 30 topped with fresh berries

Cholao - ice at the bottom with various fruits, blackberry and passionfruit syrups and condensed milk. Topped with shredded coconut, cherry, wafer cookies and whipped cream

Lulada - lulo juice mixed with condensed milk, ice and lime juice. Served with or without vodka.

Cocadas - coconut sugar cookies

Obleas - Thin wafer sandwich. two thin wafers form a sandwich filled with caramel, various fruit jams and syrups, milk cream, condensed milk, peanuts, coconuts, chocolate sprinkles and cheese.

The Food - Colombian Inspired (Main Meal Options)

Arepas - corn dough filled with meat and cheese

Bandeja Paisa - rice, minced meat, red beans, chorizo, a fried egg, fried pork skin, black pudding, sweet plantain and avocado (can be served without one or more ingredients if necessary)

Pan de Bono - cheese and yuca bread

Lechona - Stuffed Roast Pig, served with rice

Tamales - served in a variety of combinations of chicken, pork, peas, rice, carrots and other vegetables

Carne a la Llanera / Mamona - Slow cooked Barbecue meat, served with steamed potatoes, yuca and guacamole

Empanadas - served in a variety of options, including both vegetarian options and meat options.

Cazuela de Mariscos - seafood soup. contains shrimp, oysters, clams, lobster, calamari and fish in a vegetable broth with tomato and coconut milk

The main concourse, where two bars will be located - one serving alcoholic beverages (wine, beer, whiskey, cocktails) and the other serving non-alcoholic beverages (juice, soda, water, mocktails). The sound system of the main concourse will be playing through Sofia's entire musical catalog - music videos displayed on the various screens throughout.

The Lexus Club, where dinner and dessert will be served. Decorated in the colors of Colombia 🇨🇴

The ice surface will be open and rental skates will be available to anyone who wants them. The jumbotron will be playing Sofia's film projects throughout the evening. The colors of Colombia will be displayed on the led borders around the arena. Snacks will be offered at tables behind the top rows of the lower bowl.

The locker rooms will be open to serve as child care, with CPR certified sitters for those guests who may have brought their children along. The home locker room will be for infants and toddlers, while the away locker room will be playing the Descendants films, with games and toys available for use.

Colt: been thinking and struggling a lot lately and i guess to make a long story succinct...i'm bi. and now you're one of two outside my family to even know. my siblings and grandpa know but i haven't even told my parents yet. not that i think they'll care too much but. yeah.

Hey, I think anyone can understand that. Of course you want to be with your family. You love your job, but family is always so special, but especially with Sebastian now. For sure. The little one doesn’t need to do all the travelling yet. It was last weekend. We arrived yesterday, Tuesday, and will be here with you and Sof till Friday. Sebastian is the cutest little bean I swear.

That’s exactly it, yeah. We’re happy to have you here though, I know Sof has been talking about you coming to visit him from the moment he was born haha. You’ll be free to drop in anytime after this too, you know.

Yeah, I’m with you there. The travel keeps me from having a dog, can’t imagine an actual baby. But, you make do. It’ll make those moments together that much sweeter.

Leaving Sof and the dog was hard enough, but having to leave the baby too - that was actual torture. We’re getting by though, luckily after tonight's game I get to be home for the rest of this week - silver linings and all that.

Oh aye, it’s terrifying, but so worth the constant worry. It gets easier, but til then - caffeine is yer best friend. 

There’s not a whole lot that scares me, but knowing he’s counting on me for everything - that might frighten me just a tad haha. Oh yeah, caffeine has been a god send - and sleeping when he sleeps. I think as long as we stick with that we’ll be just fine.

like i said, at the end of the day your happiness along with your kid’s is really all that matters. it might not have been planned but that doesn’t make it any less special. i’m sure i am beyond late now, but if you still have some sort of free time i would still love to squeeze in something. even if it is just a simple step by step instructions via text messages. don’t expect any videos of me falling on my ass though, my pride would take the hit if ever put that out in the world.

He has officially arrived, yeah but we can totally do something like text or facetime or whatever. You’re still welcome to drop by sometime though, I’m out of town tonight for a game but then we’re home the rest of the week. It’s totally up to you though.

I’m glad you’re all settling in okay. I know it can be a bit of a struggle for some, so it’s good it’s not too bad for you. Has it really settled in yet that you’re a dad? I can see that. The human mind is fascinating. And those shows really show that and keep you guessing.

He’s been such a good baby so far, it’s crazy to me. We’re definitely trying to stick to the whole ‘sleep when the baby sleeps’ thing though haha. It’s starting to settle in a bit, yeah - not entirely but. Oh for sure, I like the mystery of it and being forced to pay attention or you’ll miss something.

I completely agree. Without after school activities or ways for kids to hone in their creative skills, their athletic skills, their intelligence…Being a kid, being a teen is confusing enough and you just get up to no good. I don’t know why it’s gotten so damn expensive but I do know education is always last on the list of priorities for the government which makes zero sense because these kids are the future.

Kids definitely tend to get into things they shouldn’t if they don’t have appropriate outlets, but I wish the extracurriculars were better funded and actually made affordable for everyone. Not just the kids who come from money.

I can imagine. Being on the road is always a lot, but especially when you have a newborn at home. And he’s your first as well. Yes, we’re planning to! I have a con in Paris this weekend and then our next step is visiting you all!

It’s rough, that’s for sure. I’m in Detroit tonight for a game, and all I can think about is just going back home to my family. It was different before he was born, Sof could come with me most of the time - that’s not quite possible with a newborn to think about. Fortunately, this is my only road game this week - did you go to Paris already or is it this coming weekend?

That mixed with the stress was the perfect combo I think. Wouldn’t have had it any other way because he’s just so perfect. There’s really a mini you and me in our arms now. That’s crazy.

I mean, I think he’s more just a mini you - he looks just like you. I just can’t believe he’s been here a week already, it’s insane.... would be nice to win the cup this year, let him sit in it and stuff. Probably a long shot though, but we’ll see. You feeling okay?
