A long time ago an anon asked me to record myself singing “God Help the Outcasts” from Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. I agreed to do it, but totally procrastinated on it. I FINALLY decided to take a stab at it today/tonight.

I’m sorry about the quality of this, but I really tried hard to do the best I possibly could singing this song. It was hard for me, and feels like a weight has been lifted off of me by finally getting to it.

OKAY BUT FUCKING HEAR ME OUT HERE

why is it okay to create dark/twisted versions of ‘good’ characters and constantly be praised for it, but it’s not okay to take an ‘evil’ character and turn them into something better, more justifiable, or more sympathetic? 

like don’t get me wrong okay i know everybody loves dark characters, everybody loves fucked up shit, but the fucking double standard drives me nuts

everyone’s entitled to their own interpretations and reinventions of a character. if you don’t fucking like it, unfollow. just because it interferes with your personal preferences for that character’s portrayal doesn’t mean the mun is obligated to change them.
