“Viki, hush…” you whispered sweetly into your boyfriend’s pale skin. “Someone will hear.”
Working such long hours with no breaks was difficult for Viktor. It was tiring enough to get through a regular nine-to-five for him, but with no set working hours, he was left working until he himself deemed it time to stop. Which almost never happened, knowing him.
Convincing him was a no-go, since he was so damn stubborn, so your best bet was to tire him out enough to fall asleep. Luckily, during the first time you had sex, you found out that your boyfriend couldn’t keep his eyes open after the deed. Perfect for when he got carried away.
“Mmmh, it’s not my fault…” he groaned, thin hands coiled tight around the ends of the table, next to his brace as he squeezed his eyes shut.
The fact that he was so responsive to a few simple touches along his chest sent something churning in your stomach, giving you more incentive to twist and pull at the pale mauve buds. “Do you want me to stop then?”
“No, no don’t— don’t stop.” He muttered through shuddering breaths, sighing into his words almost, giving them an airy quality. “Keep going.”
You breathed out a laugh, hooking your jaw over his shoulder to watch him arch into you. “That’s what I thought.”
His dark brows knit together on his hollow face with focus, legs twitching around yours involuntarily. He seemed pretty focused on staying quiet, too focused, in your opinion.
Well, it didn’t exactly matter. He would get louder soon enough.
“Viktor?”
Or not.
“Answer him,” you suggested softly, inaudible from behind the thick doors to the lab. “It’s rude to ignore people, Viki.”
His eyes shot up to yours. “Are— are you joking? I can’t just—”
The doorknob shook.
“If you want to get caught, that’s fine too.” You smiled, pressing a kiss to his shoulder as you let your hands wander. “I don’t mind.”
“You…” he forced out a breath, before wetting his lip, parting them to speak. “I, eh, can’t talk right now! I’m conducting an important… experiment. It’s quite sensitive.”
“Attaboy Viki,” you whispered close to his ear, bringing your hands back to pinch at his chest. You could hear the shift in his soft panting, hitching in his throat at the sudden feeling.
“Are you sure? You sound…”
“I’m just fine!” He blurted out, trying to cover up a whine bubbling up in his throat. “It’s, ah, part of the e—experiment!”
He gripped the table tightly, lower lip catching between his teeth. The room was silent — save for his soft gasps — and you hoped it was quiet enough for Jayce to look over.
After a moment, you heard footsteps retreating. “Alright, don’t do anything too dangerous. I’ll talk to you later.”
As soon as Jayce was far enough, Viktor let out a strained moan, fingers tangling in his hair as he collapsed forward onto his elbows.
“Come on, Viki, you shouldn’t slack off like this. After all, you’re conducting an important experiment, aren’t you? A very… sensitive one, if my memory serves correct?”
“Mmmph…! You… you are absolutely incorrigi— nngh…”
He'd broken his leg dropping down from the rooftop. The bone didn't set right, and he'd limped ever after. So he'd found himself a Fabrikator and had his cane made. It became a declaration. There was no part of him that was no broken, that had not healed wrong, and there was no part of him that was not stronger for having been broken.
Post CK Wesper sometimes visiting Kaz in the Slat and all the Dregs that are around their age are eyeing Wylan annoyed and he thinks it’s because he’s now a mercher but it’s actually because he’s dating Jesper whom everyone had a crush on (and who was actually approachable cause they also like Kaz but that’s not an option) so like. Everyone is jealous of him but not because he’s rich, but because he got their favorite sharpshooter head over heels for him
me thinking about how six of crows and the grishaverse lost a lot of popularity with the shows cancellation and the show was its one main form of lasting publicity and it’s now lost that and eventually the fanbase will shrink so much that fanart and fics will become even harder to come by and will be abandoned and eventually the books will fade into obscurity: fine
