I hate the tropes of inexperienced teenagers and twenty-somethings overusing the word trope, and then talking about the fake conversations they had with strangers and acquaintances whom they “shut down” with but a single rhetorical question while at work/school/movie theater/bus stop/grocery store checkout line/or that abandoned lot by old lady Williams’ place
