Summary - Kathryn, or Katy as her friends called her, never felt comfortable in a normal relationship. She tried the whole dating scene in college, but she’d always get bored with the guy. She’d always move on and usually without even telling her current boyfriend. Coming from a particularly religious background, Katy didn’t exactly tell her mother her desire to be with more than one man at the same time. Fast forward, Katy is the latest up and coming in ring announcer and interviewer in the WWE, a job that she loves. She gets to travel the world, see wrestling, and hang out with some of the hottest guys she’s ever seen. Arriving in 2013, Katy became fast friends with the three men of the Shield, and began to fantasize about not only having sex with all of them, but at the same time. Katy has long known how to keep her fantasies to herself, and never mention them aloud. “My baby finally made time to see me.” Katy didn’t even make it through the front door before her father’s passive aggressive bullshit began flying. Somethings never changed.

“Follow me to the table, and tell me everything you’ve been up too,” he said, ignoring the three men at her back. How could he just pretend them? It’s not like they’re exactly subtle or small. Katy felt Roman’s large hand on the base of her neck, giving a reassuring squeeze.  

Shaking off the irritation, Katy followed with her polite smile in place. “Well I’ve been working for the WWE for a while now. In fact I’m one of the main reporters for Monday Night Raw.”  

“That’s great baby. Who knew you could that far,” he said that smirk in place.  

“Yeah she does great.” Dean chimed in, hearing the same passive aggressive bullshit. “I’m Dean Ambrose by the way.” Katy noticed, he didn’t offer a hand. “A good friend of your daughter’s.”  

“Oh yeah,” said Katy, trying to stave off the anger she saw glittering her father’s eye. “This is Seth Rollins, and this is Roman Reigns. Father they are my good friends.”  

Roman extended his hand to her father. “Hello, and yes I have to agree with Dean. Katy is one of our best, despite some people.” Katy rubbed her eyes. God where was her mother. Roman and her father were going to brawl if something didn’t happen.  

“Yes well some people are just lucky,” he said, his mouth turning into a slight snarl.  

“Oh Rex calm down,” Katy’s mother, came out of the kitchen with a plate of bacon. “I’m Tryna, and you boys must be the friends Melinda told me were joining us this morning.”  

“Mom!” Katy grinned bouncing to hug the saint of woman.  

“I’m so glad you could make it baby,” she said, hugging her youngest tight. “I missed you so much.”  

“I’m sorry I don’t come around more often mom. Work just has me so busy right now,” she said, the nostalgic feeling of being home finally coming back when her mom tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.  

“I never miss a show, you know. You do so good, baby. I tell everyone that’s my baby on the big TV.” She beamed with pride.  

“Oh mom,” Katy blushed at the praise. “Oh, these are my good friends. Dean,”  

“Hello ma’am,” he said, holding his hand to shake.  

“Oh honey, there’s no need to be so formal.” True to the giving woman she was, Katy watched her mom hug all three of her boyfriends, and even commented that Seth and Roman should cut their hair.  

“My mom says the same thing,” Seth said. “Can we help you with anything?”  

“Tryna has everything covered,” Rex said from his chair.  

“Rex is right. I’m okay. Plus everything’s almost done,” she said, patting his arm. “I have everything covered.”

“Well my mother would beat me if I didn’t at least carry things to the table,” Seth said, following Tryna to the kitchen. Katy saw her men welcome her mother, and even protect her from her father’s clear attempts to get his digs in. God she loved them.  

The tension immediately rose as Tryna left the room with Seth. Trying to keep the timer from going off on the pressure cooker suddenly ticking between the occupants, Katy changed the subject. “So where’s Melinda. She said she’d be here this morning.”

“Oh something came up this morning that she had to deal with,” said Rex. “She has a real job and people depend on her.”  

Oh God, that did not go the way she anticipated. “Well being a lawyers assistant will do that.” Thank God Seth and her mother came out with the rest of breakfast.  

“Okay boys, I should have enough, but let me know if you’d like more pancakes. I can always make more,” Tryna said, placing the rest of the platters and condiments on the table.  

“Oh mom all of this looks fantastic,” said Katy, the smell bringing back fond memories of dinners with her mom and sister while her father worked late.  

“Remember you shouldn’t have too many pancakes, Kathryn,” Rex said, taking a stack of his own.  

Dean slammed his hand on the table, causing Katy and Tryna to jump. “That is it, old man. I have sat silent long enough. You cannot continue to talk to Katy like that.”

“Dean,” Katy and Roman said at the same time.  

“What was that?”Rex asked slowly.  

“Katy has worked her ass off for years, and has earned one of the hardest positions in the industry. And she doesn’t need passive aggressive assholes like you dragging her down,” Dean said, eyes never leaving her father’s. God Katy was so focused on Roman she missed how angry every comment made her lunatic.  

“I think we should go,” said Katy, standing. “I’m so sorry mom. I’ll call you.”  

“Of course, sweetie,” said Tryna, her eyes red, shoulders drooped, and already packing away food. “Please travel safe.”

“No,” said Roman. “Tryna, I want you to see your daughter and have time with her. Dean, step outside and cool off.” Roman poured every ounce of his alpha side into one look at Dean, who just threw his napkin down and stalked outside. 

Rex growled some excuse before pushing his chair over, stalking from the room, and slamming the door to his study.  

“I’m so sorry about that Tryna,” said Seth, ever the peacemaker in these moments. “Dean can be very protective of the people he loves.”  

Tryna wiped her eyes with her napkin, and Katy pulled her mom into a tight hug. Words didn’t need to be exchanged. Katy new her mother took the brunt of her father’s wrath, and bullshit. Tryna was a saint and deserved so much more then Rex. God, if Katy could ever convince her mother of that, she’d pay to move her mother away from the man forever. Right now, all she could do was comfort her mom.  

“Mom we don’t have a flight until this afternoon, so let’s finish breakfast,” said Katy after a minute. “I really want to talk to you. See you. And it smells so good.”  

Tryna held her daughter’s hand and smiled. “I love you so much. You know you’re father.”  

Katy nodded and squeezed back. “I do.”

Seth could see something moved between Dean and Katy, something personal, and special. Giving them space, Seth quietly excused himself and went to Roman’s room to wait for his boyfriend to come back from his meeting. Taking out his PlayStation, Seth put in Spiderman, and began to swing between buildings. Easily losing track of time, Seth jumped a little when the door opened and his big Samoan love walked in.  

“Hey, Rome,” he said, pausing his game, as Roman gave him a kiss.  

“Where’s Katy? She was supposed to meet me here,” Roman asked, running his hand over Seth’s face and down his shirt, feeling the chest hair on his love.  

Seth loved this part of Roman. Most wouldn’t ever see it, but his Samoan loved to touch them. When they were alone, his large hands always caressing some part of Seth or Dean. “I guess something happened with her family. I think we all might be having breakfast with her family in the morning, but her and Dean got in a fight and now they’re making up.”  

“What’d they get into a fight about?” Roman asked, dropping his bag and taking off his shirt.  

“From what I was able to gather, her family is full of assholes, especially her father. Pretty sure he abused her, and when Dean went all Dean on her, she freaked out and yelled at him,” Seth said, standing, knowing how this information will sit with Roman.  

“What do you mean you’re pretty sure her father abused her?”  

“Well she didn’t come out and say it, but she said that he was strict and ‘made sure they followed the rules’ and I can infer the rest,” said Seth.  

“And we’re going to see him?” Roman asked, hands on his hips.  

Seth shrugged. “I think so. I left to give her and Dean time to make up.”  

“Are they done?” Roman asked, forgetting about his shower, and putting on another shirt.  

“Not sure, Dean hasn’t let me know,” Seth could see how the idea of seeing Katy’s father upset Roman, but he didn’t want to overact until he had all the information.  

“Let’s go find out.” Roman opened the door, and walked the few steps to Dean’s room. Seth quickly followed, hoping that another yelling match didn’t happen. When did we all get so dramatic? He thought as Roman knocked on the door.  

“One sec,” Dean’s voice came from the room.  

“It’s us,” Roman called through the door.  

“Oh,” the door opened to reveal a naked Dean, holding his robe. “Then come on in.”  

Roman saw Katy laying on the bed cuddling with her baby blanket she took everywhere. “What is this I hear about breakfast with your family?”  

If Seth didn’t know better, he’d swear Roman on the verge of breaking the man’s neck.  

Katy cleared her throat and sat up, clutching her baby blanket still. “My sister came by the arena, when she learned we were in town. I haven’t seen my family for a while and my parents want to see me. I told her I’d stop by for breakfast and you guys would be coming.”

Dean sat behind her, and kissed her shoulder. “tell him the rest.”  

“My father has anger problem. You see he believes I should be living my life a certain way, and I’m not. Well now he can’t do anything, that hasn’t always been the case,” she said, biting her lip.  

“What would he do?” Roman asked.  

Katy looked at Dean, who nodded, rubbing her side. “He’d do various things. Pull my hair so hard chunks would fall out. Throw things at me. He’d take his belt off and whip us if we really upset him. I could never seem to be who he demanded.”  

Seth saw Roman’s jaw clench as Katy told them. Suddenly everything made sense. Dean learned this and Seth was positive the lunatics reaction involved promising violence. Also explains why the two look so close now. Seth knew Dean’s abusive past, so did Roman. Not something the lunatic shares with most, Seth was glad he could use his past to help someone. Seth was positive this was a first for his boyfriend.  

Roman nodded, and took a seat on a nearby chair. “Do you want to go?”  

Katy shrugged. “I don’t know. I mean. I would like to see my mom again. But I really don’t have any desire to see my father.”

“You know we can make it happen so all you have to see is your mother,” Dean said, kissing her shoulder.  

Seth nodded in agreement. “Yeah, Katy. None of us want you to see him if you don’t want too.”  

“You are all the best,” she smiled and leaned forward to kiss both Roman and Seth, before kissing Dean. “But I think I have to see him. I want to do this for myself. To prove to myself that I can see him and show him that although I didn’t follow his plan, I’m happy and doing great.”  

Roman nodded. “IF you’re sure.”

“If you all come me, then I know I can face him. Just don’t leave me alone,” she asked, biting her lip again. Roman grabbed her wrist and pulled the naked woman on his lap, wrapping his arms around her waist and held her tightly.  

“I want you to know, that none of us will let you be alone with him. If he tries to lay a hand on you or anyone I will put him on the ground,” Roman gripped her thigh, speaking from his soul. No one messed with anyone he loved. Absolutely no one.  

Katy smiled, ran her hands into his hair, and pulled him in for a kiss. “I know that, which is why I’m really okay with going with all of you.”

Katy made it as far the parking lot before how badly she over reacted hit her like a freight train. What did she expect Dean to do?
