Given last week's episode boring the life out of me I wasn't too optimistic here, and yeah it was mostly fairly dull again. But I guess it wasn't so bad that I want to drop just yet? I think next week will be the make or break moment for me I suppose.

This is a strange show. I think the lightbulb making montage sequence was the most fun the show's been for me yet I would've been interested in seeing more of the actual science than the show was interested in talking about. I don't get why we needed to tell Yosuke about having made streetlights and the catalogue being real though because we finally got him out of our hair like why do we need to prove shit to him? I think I'd like Kihachi less if he were more determined because he'd be more generic but also he's kind of so weak willed that I just don't like him anyway. And Inako so far lacks any meaningful definition beyond "the heroine" such that I wonder about her as well. Friend of the channel Salix Jane Yurisorcerer had a crashout over the show being bad last week and I wouldn't dare go as far but also I get where she's coming from in a sense. I think this is somewhat fascinating in its strangeness but I can't deny that my main source of enjoyment is mostly just in the visuals, and even then while I respect that it's them not just doing something new but excelling at it - I still just prefer their general house style, really.
