Klarion had left early and didn’t return until late. He walked into the control room to report to Vezeer and drop off the tags of the targets he’d been sent after. A small cleaning not following close behind him to clean up the bloody paw prints he’d been leaving. His newly notched ear flicking periodically as the cold ear stung the fresh wound.
“I’m not upset. I’m frustrated. But I’m fine.” He moved to put his arms around him.
