Rainy day — My Neighbor Totoro となりのトトロ (1988)
me today
María Casares, from a letter to Albert Camus, featured in Correspondance, 1944-1959
“I need you to love me a little louder today.”
— Unknown
I am older than you
I am loved.i think.
most people aren't cruel
they just don't know
don't know what we goin through
don't know what it costs
to smile on a tuesday
to answer how are you
with fine
but there's still feeling
underneath the quiet,
these feelings are real
these feelings hurt
i want to change
i want to be everything
i want everything that isn't mine
running toward a horizon
that keeps moving
but i hate change
i hate myself for wanting more
because no matter what,
no matter how far i run,
i am still the body i abuse
the world keeps turning
and the clock keeps ticking
i am older than you
but soon
soon, my friend,
i'll be younger than you forever.
//this poem started frm "I'll be younger than you forever". I tried to tell a story this time & have so much more to tell but didn't find a way to fit it all in. I still don't think the poem as a whole fit together tht much.Lemme know your thoughts & remember, you are wanted :)
“Until you get comfortable with being alone, you’ll never know if you are choosing someone out of love or loneliness.”
— Mandy Hale
The older I get, the more I realize, I don’t want a busy life. I want a deep life. Slow mornings. Focused work. Calm people. Meaningful progress. Good books. A quiet mind at night. Nothing flashy. Nothing trendy. Just a life that feels good to live. Depth over noise. That'll do.
