"you know, i couldn't help but notice you staring at her." she noted, knowing vinny would know who she was talking about. how could she not notice who her cousin was staring at ? "why don't you just go over to her instead of staying over here?" if the other had a date, then to hell with that. she just wanted to see her cousin happy. she wanted to see him smile for once.

the last thing she had expected was for adrian to ask her to be his date to the festival. in a way, it surprised her. but she had said yes in the end. "you know, you could have asked anyone in town to come with you." she pointed out as she stayed close to him. "so why me?" she asked, raising an eyebrow as she looked over at him.

"well well well, look what the cat dragged back in." she said in a teasing voice. how long had it been since she had last seen maddox? she had lost track. so busy with things in her own life to keep track. "didn't think i would see you here." she noted. which was true. she never thought she would see him at a festival like this. "having fun yet?"

"when was the last time we had a girls night?" she asked, raising an eyebrow as she looked over at her. too long maybe? leyla had been so busy that she had lost track of that. but she knew one was in the books sometime soon. "i'm thinking we can invite soph and my cousin asena too." three of her favorite people. "we could get pizza and stay in too. or go out for a little bit." she was cool with what ever.

"think they have a pizza truck here?" she asked, raising an eyebrow as she looked over at him. most people would have gone for tacos, or frenchfries. but not thalia. not today at least. she was wanting some pizza. she knew it wouldn't be as good as her own. but it would do. "and maybe breadsticks too if they make them."

she had seen him before. at her bar and grill. multple times. but never said anything to him. mostly because she had been busy. two cups of shaved ice in her hand, she made her way over to him before handing it to him. "i've seen you before at my bar and grill." she mentioned as she sat next to him on the bench. "are you by chance related to zahir?" she asked. she was almost certain he was. to her, knowing her boyfriends family was important to her.

"i probably haven't said this before. but thank you for moving here with me." and she meant it. while she had zahir there. having damian there with her meant the world to her. she had been so nervous moving there at first. to move there to find sal. and the fact that damian had come, it meant everything. he was also one of two people she wanted to introduce to sal as well. "maybe sometime today, i can introduce you to sal."

she was nervous, of course she was nervous. not that she was here with zahir. but that she would be finally introducing him to her brother, sal. if there was one person she wanted to intro zahir to, it was her brother. on of the most important people in her life. it would go well, right? thalia introducing zahir to her brother? in her mind, it would go well. her brother would approve of zahir. after all, he did make her happy. beyond happy if anything. hand in his, she laced their fingers together as they walked. "i'm thinking maybe you could stay over at my place tonight." that was something that had been happening more recently. thalia staying at his place, or zahir staying at hers. for her, she slept better when he was next to her. it gave her a sense of peace. plus, falling asleep and waking up in his arms felt right. "also, i was hoping to introduce you to my brother sal today." honestly, she had been wanting to introduce him to her brother for a little while now. but never knew when the right time would be. but now? today? today seemed like the right time. looking upahead of them, she spotted her brother by the bar. she should have known he would be there. looking back over at zahir, the smile stayed on his lips. "ready to go meet him?"

a break. she finally got a break from all of that. two milkshakes in hand, she made her way over to where dulce was. "got you your favorite." she spoke as she handed her the milkshake. the one thing jules made sure to do was to memorize her friends favorites. "so i'm thinking, a girls night with you, dani and i sometime soon. how does that sound?"

she knew why he was doing what he was doing. and she hated it. she hated that maddox was trying to piss off vinny. "you need to stop." and she was serious. she wanted to have a good time there. and so far, that wasn't happening. not with the current situation that was going on. "let's go get something to eat, okay?" hopefully that would be a good distraction.

this day couldn't get any worse first, her ex was in town, then vinny glarring daggers at her date. it was too much for her. drink in hand, she found her way to the beach area. she just needed a break. "having fun yet?" she asked, raising an eyebrow as she looked over at her. jules knew her fun had been cut short, for now that was. but she knew at some point, she would start having fun again.

if there was one thing she never expected, it was for vinny to be glarring daggers at her date. there was nothing between her and maddox except friendship. finally pulling herself away from him, she didn't hesitate to walk over to where vinny was. reaching him, she grabbed his hand and pulled him off somewhere more private. the last thing she wanted was to argue with him with other people watching. "you really need to stop glaring at him." she spoke once she stopped and turned to look at him. "honestly, maddox and i are just here as friends." the one she did like? it wasn't maddox, it was vinny.

the moment he had asked her to be his date to the summer festival, she had said yes without a doubt. was this technically their second date now? it made her wonder if it was officially. reguardless, she was glad he had asked her. "you've still got some ice cream on your lip." she pointed out as small laugh escaped her lips. bringing her thumb up to his bottom lip, she wipped it off for him. "there, all gone." she spoke as a soft smile formed on her lips.

"well, you know how my sisters can be." emir shrugged lightly. he no longer felt new to town but he was still a lot newer to it than either of his siblings, and it probably didn't help that he had been keeping to himself a lot more. getting things in order before he really started to make a name for himself here. "that's good. i'm glad. i'd love to come over and see her, just tell me when you're free." he nodded, taking a longs swig from his glass, and almost choking on it when she mentioned a fight.
"physical? with who? why?" he paused, taking another sip "did you win? i mean, of course you won, but was it a good win?" he was intrigued, being in the business of fights, and having learnt how since he was young, he almost forgot that he was talking to his cousin here. "forgive me, sorry, are you okay? you look fine, but i should have asked."
"you know, one of these days we should get together for dinner. tjust he four of us. no talk about work or anything like that." just the four of them catching up on things and hanging out. it was probably needed too. a night where they all didin't have to think about work or anything on the outside. "i'm free on the weekends. so just text me before you come over." and she meant that. all he had to do was text her to give her a heads up.
at the mention of the fight, she nodded her head. "I punched a friend of mine." something she never thought she would do. but her emotions had gotten to her. with everything that had happened lately. it all lead up to her yelling at bash. "i called him out on his crap. and then i punched him. as for winning, no one won. i punched him before walking away." they weren't exactly talking now either. not when she needed some space. "i'm fine though.i promise."
