Oh I have an idea! Trying to scare the boys since it’s Halloween. It could be a small prank or something genuinely terrifying :)

S/O Spooking the Ghostbusters

- Peter -

• How bad you scare him just depends on what day you catch him. Sometimes all you're gonna get is a bewildered look, other times you’ll make him scream like a little girl. Mostly it’s just the former.

• If you do manage to scare him though he’ll really exaggerate his reactions, even once he’s realised it’s just you. He’ll yell really loud, clasp his hand over his heart and throw himself to the floor like you gave him a damn heart attack.

• Be warned that this is a very dangerous game to play. Once he realises that you’re trying to scare him he’ll want to try too.. And the guy has way too much time on his hands.

• 

- Egon -

• Definitely the easiest to spook. The man gets so wrapped up in his work and can concentrate so hard that sneaking up on him is laughably easy. 

• Wanna really scare him? Bring the boogeyman into the equation. Somehow get him believe that it’s back or even make some sort of model or something. Guaranteed spooks all round.  

• He’s not mad, he’s just disappointed. 

• He won’t really attempt to get you back beyond maybe giving a little jumpscare or deliberately trying to creep you out on a bust or something though. It’s pretty easy to tell when he’s doing it though, he uncharacteristically can’t stop himself from smiling.  

- Ray - 

• You’re gonna have the toughest time. Ray’s one of the bravest Ghostbusters, if not THE bravest, and he loves all things Halloween and horror. You’re gonna have to be real inventive.

• He’ll jump but recovers so fast and then he’ll just grin and admire and congratulate you on you’re little prank, especially if there are special effects or costumes involved. You got him good! You’re so creative, y/n!

• The best time to get him is out on a job since he takes every bust super seriously and will be on high alert and a little on edge the whole time.

- Winston -

• He's also quite easy to spook. He'll tell out a bad word and has a bad habit of instinctively getting defensive, so watch out.

• Again - Not mad, just disappointed.

• He'll get you back ten fold and remind you /exactly/ why he's doing it. That's what you get!!

how about one that's like the one you did a little while back where the s.o. is possessed and the boys are saving them BUT its the other way around? kinda angsty? But only if you want to do this? Btw I LOVE your blog, everything you write is awesome

- Peter -

• TRG shows us Pete’s pretty capable of fighting back against a possession. Not completely, but still. No evil spirit could make him hurt you.

• This might make it more stressful though. You’ve never seen him look so terrified and distressed, especially when he’s giving strangled half-demon-half-Peter calls for you to get the hell out of there.

• Of course I imagine you won’t listen to him. 

• Recovers seemingly pretty fast but you know him better than most. For a couple of days after the event he’s a lot quieter and maybe a little self conscious. It’s nothing a little TLC can’t fix though.

- Egon - 

• Maybe this is a hot take but I think Egon would be pretty susceptible to possession if he was caught off-guard and maybe wouldn’t be the best at fighting one off since he has a freeze response to fear.

• Which of course means Hell on Earth for you. The thing has Egon’s eyes and almost has Egon’s smile, but you know that he’d never look at you the wicked way this thing is - and the smile is way, way too wide.

• All this to say that unfortunately you’re gonna have the roughest time and are most likely to come out with a bump or two. Believe me, your guy’s gonna hate himself for it. He hates the idea of not being in control of his own mind and hates the thought of you in harms way even more.

• Immediately after becoming lucid his wild eyes find yours to see that you're okay. He swears up and down that he’s going to look into better preventative measures and reverse as much of the damage he caused as possible - All before allowing anyone to check if he’s alright.. And he follows through on that and isolates himself for a while, ashamed of what he might have done.

- Ray -

• We’ve all seen Ghostbusters 2. Poor Ray is very susceptible to possession, although once you come into his life he’d be much more careful.

• Don’t fret though! He’s (mostly) harmless.. At least, it’s pretty easy to get him to snap out of it. Mood slime or a hard knock to the head will do just fine.. Though no one’s in a hurry to do the latter.

• Terrifyingly he's actually more of a danger to himself than others. It's like the spirit knows just how much everyone on the team cares for him and likes seeing them worry.. Or maybe Ray's desire to not hurt you guys is just stronger than his self preservation.

• He's so grateful to you guys for saving him. He starts a stream of apologies before he even knows what he did and makes sure to try to recall it all in great detail so he and Egon can run experiments and stop it from happening again.

• You get your own private, much softer apology later. He hopes you know that he didn't mean a single word he said and he'd never in a million years want to hurt you.

- Winston -

• Now that I think about it, how are three out of four Ghostbusters so possession prone?

• Winston's pretty strong of mind though. The spirit will spend more time fighting him than fighting you guys.. Though its no less scary to witness.

• He's also the strongest physically so pray it doesn't come down to a fight. Any moment Winston has in control of his mind will be spent telling you to get the Hell out of there.

• He'll try to blow it off afterwards and claim it was a piece of cake and he's just glad you didn't get caught in the crossfire. He needs to be strong for you.. But you catch him really staring at himself in the mirror once or twice like he's having a hard time recognising himself.

Could I get some headcanons for an autumn date with the boys? Like what's their favorite activity they can only do in autumn? It's spooky szn and I need some cozy fall headcanons 🍁🍂🎃

Autumn dates with the Ghostbusters

Peter

Autumn means darker nights and colder weather.. And Peter doesn't do cold.

So a lot of your dates move inside. You guys go shopping for thick sweaters and cosy blankets and make great use of them throughout the season. Movie nights, naps on the couch, cooking together instead of going out.. Anything to keep you indoors and warm and snug.

He will make fun of you for being basic and ordering anything pumpkin spice and then proceed to order the exact same thing.

You’re more than welcome to his oversized coats and kitted scarves that have piled up over the years. He thinks they look cuter on you anyways.

Egon

Egon’s favourite thing about fall probably comes as a surprise to no one. Mushrooms and fungi.

He doesn’t usually take extended vacations off of work, but when he does you can bet it’ll be in autumn. He packs up thick clothes and hiking boots, baskets and knives, custom built examining equipment and, of course, his very favourite person.

Whether you actually consider this a vacation depends on how relaxing you find foraging for mushrooms in the woods and listening to your boyfriend excitedly tell you about all the unique varieties. You gotta give him this though, he does pick some beautiful spots.

However you feel, he’s just really grateful you came and took an interest. You’re rewarded with taking in stunning scenery each morning and evening with your hand in his. He brews you tea or coffee and massages anything that aches after a long day of exploring. You’re still his number one priority, after all.

Ray

Spooky season is right. Ray’s very favourite thing about fall is his very favourite holiday, Halloween.

The moment the clock hits midnight on September first he starts talking costumes and decorations and recommending horror movies every movie night. 

I really hope you’re as excited and enthusiastic as he is because he’ll want nothing more than to do all these things with you. You’ll spend whole evenings planning couples costumes or putting up fake cobwebs, spooky lights and plastic skeletons.

Pumpkin carving is also a must. You guys drive ecto one out to a patch and take your sweet time picking out the perfect ones. Ray’s really creative with designs and has a really skilful and steady hand so it’s a lot of fun.

Winston 

Winston’s also not a great fan of the cold but he’s braver than Peter. Something he loves to do in autumn is build bonfires and make smores to keep warm because why not? (Though of course it’s any brand other than Stay Puft)

 He’ll pick (get it?) visiting an apple orchard over a pumpkin patch because everyone knows apple pies > pumpkin pies. 

 You better believe those pies are going to be homemade too and you’re his favourite sous chef.

Genuinely thinks you're braver than the marines. He's done birthday parties before, kids are mean.

Not really, of course. They can be sweet! He actually has a soft spot for the little guys. Sometimes.

As in he's willing to throw hands with older kids if they're shitty to you, but also will encourage you to go easy on their grades and let a few things slide.

Egon

Has many suggestions about the current curriculum.

You've heard of backseat driving, get ready for backseat teaching. He knows you're fully capable, of course, he's just passionate about science and knows that his own high school career didn't encourage his interests and ideas the way he would have liked.

He's more than happy to help you with paperwork/grading if you need it. You’re always taking care of him and making sure he’s not being overworked, he just wants to repay the favour.

Makes a great show and tell project. Your students are sceptical at first since he's a little weird but then he pulls out some really exciting experiments and wild ideas for them to try and they're all on board. They ask after him often and are keen to have him again.

Ray

Thinks you're amazing. Teachers are so important and of course he's a little biased but the fact you're a science teacher is everything.

He’s really good at helping you locate and source any reading material you need and that goes for your students too. 

Ray’s Occult Books becomes a popular study spot. It’s cosy, it’s quiet, has great sources and a real friendly owner who’s always happy to help. He even sets up a little hot drinks station for them.

Naturally they begin to ask you and Ray a lot of questions about the nature of your relationship which leads to a lot of embarrassment and bashfulness. It’s all in good fun though and your students are actually very happy for you.

Winston

Your students first noticed something was up when you started showing up to and getting picked up from school in the flashiest, wackiest car they’d ever seen. Winston can’t help it, he loves drawing attention to you and he thinks ecto one’s pretty cool.

They all think he’s the cool one. They’re always asking him to stick around and tell stories of all the jobs he’s been on, the more dangerous the better. He likes to big up your role in those stories and encourage them to treat you with repect.

Hosts field trips to the firehouse and shows them all the equipment and stuff, under your supervision of course, It’s actually really cute, he rehearses everything the night before and asks your opinion on everything to make sure it links in with what you’ve been teaching them.

Stealing Ray’s clothes

• You are so right about him having the softest clothes. Ray’s stellar at laundry and so they always smell amazing too.

• Ray always tends to favour warm clothes too. Jackets, sweaters, cardigans.. All the better to wrap yourself up with.

• The first time Ray notices pieces of his wardrobe going missing he pins the blame on either a prank being played by the other boys or a supernatural entity. Hey, stranger things have happened. 

• The first time he notices it’s you sporting his favourite lined denim jacket or tan knitwear.. He gets so smiley and blushy about it. He tries not to make a big deal out of it because he doesn’t want you to stop. 

• Ray’s usually the second neatest Ghostbuster (after Winston) but he starts leaving sweaters and such all over the place just in case you want to pick ‘em up. He hopes you do, in fact. If you don’t, he tells you he’s worried about you being cold and drapes the clothes around your shoulders with a gentle squeeze.

•  He thinks you look adorable and has no problem telling you so. Something about seeing you look so soft, warm and cozy makes him want to wrap you safe and hold you close to him. 

• Your favourite items of clothing become his too all of a sudden just because you like them. 

• He always packs an extra jacket when you and the boys head out in ecto-1 and puts it over you like a blanket when you fall asleep.
