In the year 30XX, there was some massive world war. Technology kinda stops evolving because there are no more breakthroughs and no more geniuses to invent new technologies that can help the wars. WELL- *ahem* tbh i havent rlly delve into details because i dont really understand baseball much.. and yes i made a baseball au despite not knowing how it works. I was mainly inspired by dorabase (a baseball manga set in the doraemon universe) and thought, "Hey, I love this thing. What if i mesh up two of the things I love?" I haven't decide the rest of the team but benchrio is in Dream's team which is named Dream Team because he isnt creative with names. (Techno's team is named the Sleepy Boys because I'm not creative with names)

Tommy was invited to Dream Team by Dream after he saw Tommy practicing throwing balls alone (a reference to Dream inviting Tommy to the dream SMP). Tommy was in Techno's team but he was stuck as reserve. At first I wanted Dream to manipulate Tommy into joining him but then me, a discduo enjoyer, decided that I want this settled in a.. less-manipulative way. So a member of Techno's team -- Wilbur -- is sick and Tommy got to play. Dream, after knwoing this and still persistent on getting Tommy in his team, challanged the Sleepy Boys on a baseball match against them. Whoever wins get to keep Tommy (why is this turning into big brothers fighting over Tommy-). Tommy, the hot-headed little shit he is accepted and they went on a match. Dream is a master on throwing curve balls and none of the Sleepy Boys can hit them haha. Tommy surprise everyone with his SKILLZ after his training arc. Dream Team won and they got Tommy in. Techno was angery and swore rivalry to Dream. ANDD that's the start of their neverending rivalry <3 Also notice how the Sleepy Boys now ironically only has 3/4 SBI *evil laugh* Tommy slowly warmed up to Tubbo though *happy noises* (Ranboo hasn't made an appearence yet here) Ranboo applied for the team later on -- and AGAIN I'm reminding y'all that this AU is heavily inspired by a manga, so yes they got cool magic balls shit that can only exist in fiction -- He can throw a magic "teleporting" ball. The idea is that the ball is very fast and it condensed into a line and is basically invisible in the batter's perspective. And when it hit the mitt, it went back to a ball shape, giving the illusion of it "teleporting".
