I enjoyed...most of it. there were definitely some things about the plot that made me go "really?" But all in all it was mostly fun. Needed more Joe though lol.

hmm i might give it a shot! yeah i think my primary concern is the rest of the chosen getting shoved to the side for taichi and yamato :/ though i feel like i’m not as invested in digimon anymore, so maybe i’ll be able to appreciate it for what it is instead of wishing it was something else lmao

I think the activity level on tumblr kinda depends on the fandom? Digimon is super dead rn for sure though.

i’m pretty sure all the blogs i follow are dead besides like. five people

tbf though digimon was always pretty dead, but like it was cool cause it was pretty much guaranteed that everyone in the fandom would follow each other. it always felt like a very close rp fandom and i kinda miss that :/

i will say, i think part of easing off the digimon community when i did when there was SO MUCH new content coming out (still is??? idfk) is that you spend years in fandom building up lore and handcanons with your friends just for something to come out and invalidate all that, and like, not even in a fun good way

this isn't even necessarily limited to digimon. anime just makes me bitter nowadays

goes back to playing maki or daigo because they're probably not in any other canon material besides tri. so i don't need to update myself like i would need if going back to taichi :)
