Hi I love ur (Being a Muggle born student and having a crush on Professor Dumbledore) but can u make a part 2 where they meet again like years after Hogwarts and they finally start dating (don't forget the Mary Jane)
—————————————————————————————————————
Imagine: Professor Dumbledore reciprocating your love.
This is my first ever request so I hope that this post is okay. Haha, honestly as it’s an imagine I didn’t want to make it too long so I will probably make a part 3. Of course each part could be read as a stand alone but anyways I hope you all enjoy this.
Romance (you are an adult)
✨This is part 2 of Being a Muggle Born Student and Having a Crush on Professor Dumbledore but can be read as a standalone✨
“So this was the restaurant Grindelwald and you talked. Very interesting.”
Dumbledore chuckles and looks down.
There he is, you think to yourself openly scanning his appearance. His hair certainly has grown longer and he looks more tired than before, but still very attractive.
“I know it’s wrong to use legilimency but you just looked so handsome and lonely sitting there I just had to. That conversation was a couple days ago and you still think about it?”
“You really had to use legilimency,” he asks finally looking to you. His sad eyes burning into yours making you feel a bit guilty, but not enough. Hating what’s between Dumbledore and Grindelwald…hating that those two still have love for each other…hating that Grindelwald has been breaking Dumbledore’s heart piece by piece.
“We will get this blood pact solved and end this. You are talking to a dueling master after all and I win about 100% of the time.”
“Yes, you have quite grown (first name),” he leans in, “but you still don’t answer simple questions without being snarky.” Smirking at him, you lean across the table as well for your (color) eyes to stare into his gorgeous blue ones.
“You know the ministry, I was only using legilimency because I wanted to—and doing so—the ministry is full of bullshit about you and has always been. You’re a great professor and person as well, plus, nobody’s perfect.”
Dumbledore clenches his jaw and looks away from you, still in his own world about the conversation he had with Gellert…but happy you’re with him.
“It’s been a few years since I’ve last seen you. Making covers on newspapers and proving to pure-bloods you’re a force to deal with…you’ve made me proud.”
Clicking your tongue, you sit back and let the tense atmosphere take over. Having no clue why he has been different towards you just boggles your mind.
Last time you saw him was two months before losing Leta Lestrange, a close friend you shed many tears for.
“But you need to be careful (first name). You are a strong young man, no doubt, but Gellert has—!”
“Has set his eyes on me to kill so that I don’t get in his way if I ever choose to since I didn’t join him. Yeah, remember I was just in your mind?”
Dumbledore shakes his head and stands up to walk towards the exit, “Follow me.” Following, once you reach outside he grabs your arm and transports the both of you to a room. “Umm, Hogwarts?”
“Nope, just a place I own in Hogsmead,” he gently smiles at you and offers tea. Nodding your head, he pours the both of you tea and gestures for you to sit on the opposite couch of his.
“Sit with me,” you asks as you take your tea to your liking. Dumbledore pauses before getting up with his tea and sits next to you. Closer than you thought he would with his leg barely brushing up against yours. He snaps and his fireplace starts, making the room cozy and offering to take your hat and coat. Standing with him you allow him to remove the hat and feel his warm hands glide from your shoulders and down your arms as he takes the coat off. Sitting back down as he walk to a closet to put your clothing in, you tap on the tea cup in contemplation. Something is clearly bothering him more than the war that’s starting, but what could it be?
“I’ve accidentally torn the scarf you gave me but fixed it a couple days ago. Also, thank you for sending me those divination series on my birthday.”
“And thank you for paying my medical bills and getting me out of sticky situations with the ministry.”
He laughs, “Of course, paying for medical bills and keeping you out of Azkaban is the least I could do for not keeping my promise.”
“…You may not have been beside me the whole time…but you never gave up.”
“Last time I checked Newt never gave up on you either.”
Dumbledore sits yours and his cup down, engulfing one of your hands into both of his larger, warmer ones. “I was there, when you were standing above her grave in grief asking her for forgiveness. For not being there in time and telling her you understand why she chose to distance herself from you. But only if you knew that when her and the ministry would visit me, that she would quietly ask how you were. She would tell me that she wanted to seek you out, but thought it was best to distance herself because she knew if she were to be close to you again she would cling onto you for support. She didn’t want to use you for her to feel better about herself.
“And though we too haven’t seen much of each other, only sending owls, she knew that I kept in touch with you. Even if not physically. She loved you till the very end (first name),” he whispers the end, wiping the tears that escaped running down your puffy cheeks.
Smiling bitterly, you grab onto his wrist gently massaging your thumb across his skin and taking deep breaths closing your eyes. He smells nice, always has and probably always will. The older man cups the back of your neck and guides you to rest on the plushy cushions of the couch. “We all carry burdens. It’s better to let go than to keep it in.”
“You should really follow your own advice. How long are you going to hold on to your broken heart Dumbledore?”
He lets out a pitiful chuckle and slowly wraps his arms around you. “Please, call me Albus now that you’re almost 30 and not my student anymore. Also, I have two hearts I’m holding on, not just one.”
Leaning against him more, you bury your face in his chest feeling flustered as he puts his chin on top of your head.
“One for Gellert that is floating away faster than you think…and one for someone very special. Someone who made me gain this heart about six years ago, albeit slowly, till it turned whole a year ago.”
You’re not dumb. Knowing he’s talking about you, your chest aches longingly yet excitement courses through your veins. Having a crush on this man since you were a teen, you can’t believe he is finally reciprocating your love back.
Tilting his chin downwards, you feel his lips brush against the top of your head and moving down to your ear. Goosebumps settles upon you with his breath fanning across your neck and ear, heart pumping to your throat and below.
“You. You, (first name), have my heart. Ever since you were 23 when you helped me deal with those stubborn dragons I’ve been trying to teach my classes about. Ever since you saved Percival Graves finding him in time before he died of pain, hunger, and thirst. Ever since I’ve seen you go into sorrow over Leta’s grave. And ever since you threw almost everything away to try and help Newt and his muggle friend. Slowly you were clawing your way into my heart, now, you have all of it making my heart for Gellert vanish.”
Opening his shirt showing a bit of his chest, he pulls off his blood pendant.
“This will end, and when it does I will be by your side.”
Grabbing the pendant, you look at it and almost marvel over how beautiful it looks. Magic truly does wonders, you know that, but to make blood look like the perfect jewel?
Putting it on the table, you sit back and stare at the fireplace. “I’ll make sure this time that we are together,” you tell him.
He scoots back and opens his arms, “Come here.”
“Because I need to know if you really do love me and…and…I would want to be with you so you would want to be with me too. Take me out or something, y’know?”
He grins and forcefully pulls you down to squish your cheek on his chest.
“Like I said, you have my heart. I do love you (first name), even if I shouldn’t. I love you and would love to give you everything in this world.”
“…Man you’re really making us have a lot of sexual tension.”
“Quiet you,” he squeezes your sides making you let out a laugh and squirm on his lap. He smiles brightly, laughing with you and stops so he can squish you even more to him. Having your laughs turn into chuckles, you look up at him and bite your lip. Not helping the tension at all.
“You truly are a talented wizard my darling,” he whispers and capture your bottom lip between his teeth. Moaning, you deepen the kiss grabbing the back of his hair and he moved you to straddle him.
After a couple seconds of passionate kissing, you both pull away to properly breath.
“No matter how much I would love for us to continue, last time I checked it’s been a long week for you. So how about I carry you to my room and cuddle as I read a story to you. Maybe one of the divination books you sent me?”
“Sounds wonderful. Would you like some Mary Jane?”
That night there was no hanky panky except sharing a joint with the love of your life and him holding you close under the covers as he reads a really boring book.
…Well, with the both of you getting lit you can’t help but let hands wander.
