So me and my friend were talking about kamisama kiss and they brought up how Tomoe is mostly a girls name in Japan. I thought it was funny thinking of Tomoe being transgender, so I looked into it, and holy shit its true

After looking into the name a little more, it turns out Tomo Gozen was a heroine who could kill any god or demon (link to the article)

So if that's the case, I like to headcanon Tomoe is transgender!

what do you think about the theory that iruma is actually a demon and wasn’t born human?

me personally i feel like it takes away a lot of his character and I feel like him turning out to be a demon from the start would kind of ruin his whole self discovery journey realizing that he wants to stay as a demon by everyones side and I feel like him being born a human yet completely seeing himself as a demon is very meaningful but that’s just my opinion :)

Completely agree with you. I want to see him transition into being a demon.

I mean we have all the other LGBTQ+ themes. We got lesbians, we got the polycule, all the kids are queer. We’ve got Iruma who is pretty genderfluid at this point oh and Opera being the MVP of Enbys (NB) so sticking a transition here of somesort would just be natural.

Also we kinda have foreshadowing this will be the case. The harvest festival!.

To make the legendary leaf grow!. You need a seed a pot and a power source.

The seed: that is Irmas desire and ambition to become a demon.

The pot: a vessel, that will be Iruma himself.

Power source: Ali.

Then he will transform into a demon! But not any old demon. He will be reborn using Delkiras mana and he will become demon king that way.

So if they end up saying oh Iruma was a reincarnation he was a demon all along. Well… bad writing. Cop out. Especially after all that build up. He can be destined to be the next king since he already fits the prophecy. But i hope he doesnt end up already being a demon.

Does 2012 April have flaws? Yes.

Does 2012 April actively show Donnie affection? Yes.

Does 2012 April have feelings for Donnie to some degree? Yes.

Is she 100% sure on those feelings? No.

Does she have more important problems in her life to deal with than whether or not a boy is into her? Fuck yes.

Does April sometimes go too far and overreact? Yes.

So does every single other character in the show.

Her father was kidnapped episode one, and he’s the only family member she is ever shown to have a close relationship with (her aunt literally never appears in the show she doesn’t count.)

Then her life is put in danger CONSTANTLY, her father is mutated by the people who promised to save him (their fault or not), she is forced to live underground IN A SEWER, she tries to train to pull her own weight and contribute because she’s sick of sitting on the sidelines only to be treated like she’s helpless constantly, on top of that she’s got two guys constantly flirting with her and playing tug of war with her.

April has flaws. April makes mistakes. April can be loud and abrasive and takes her frustration out on people who probably don’t deserve it.

But for peoples biggest gripe of her character to be that she’s a “tease?”

Y’all are just as guilty of reducing her character to just a love interest as some of the writers.

(Also for the “you’re my mutant” thing? She said that in response to Donnie putting himself down. He apologized and then proceeded to imply that she doesn’t want to be with him solely cause he’s a mutant.) (She also never said she didn’t like him or that she didn’t have feelings for him, she literally just felt uncomfortable with getting a gift with HIS FACE ON IT. Idc how much I like someone that’s an awkward thing to get) (let’s also not forget that Donnie never confessed to her either? She didn’t reject him cause he never asked her out.)
