Instead of a rights or liberty based society, a duty based society would be preferential.
A lot of the lashing out against ideas of having a duty to more than oneself is due mostly to a mismatch between societal signaling and the actual ability to hold a position of duty and being able to fulfill it.
This is why I believe that requiring service to your society and State is a good idea as it will help a lot of the ills that come from feeling useless or worthless, as well as help unify the disparate groups together.
Some ideas I’ve had: (a) Two years of military service and placement into regional reserves/militias (b) Four years of administrational service in the government © Required annual one to three months in community service for all residents (d) Requiring all citizens to undergo support/paramilitary training and being lifelong personnel to be called upon in times of need
These can also be leveraged as ways to easily sort people for employment and placement to the role they will be able to best serve the people and Mankind, as well as maximize their chances at a happy fulfilling life.
I’d prefer to tie more things back into the family, and in my view, you end up with the state as a family business, and thus all fighting, civil service, and so on and so forth, because all work is in support of the family, and all families are related to each other. Everything done is a service to one’s kin and Patriarch.
so, tribes
I think the tribal structure is compatible, and perhaps even more suitable to modern life.
