I saw someone say they came out to their dad. The dad basically did not care in the slightest and grilled them on why they don’t have a job yet.
That’s Mike and Ted Wheeler.
Mike: “Dad! I’m gay and Will is my boyfriend! We’re in love and we’re dating and we’re gonna get married one day! So that’s THAT!”
Ted: “Hm, maybe if you got a JOB instead of playing that board game of yours all day you’d be able to support him better.”
Mike: “…huh?”
Ted: “Get a job, son.”
We read a book about a biracial Jewish girl at my book club this month and I honestly thought about not going. In the past couple of years, nearly every conversation I've had with strangers about Judaism had taken a turn and I wasn't in the headspace to deal with it.
But I ended up going, and while I was the only Jew in the room (shocker), I was pleasantly surprised.
It turned into a learning opportunity and people actually cared about what I had to say and the conversation was really productive and interesting.
However, I was reminded about just how little goyim know about Judaism/Yiddish/general culture and that most have never met a Jew in their life.
People have so much to say without knowing us at all.

I’m lying face down on the floor. Reblog to join.
Guys I've tweaked Season 5, Vol. 2 a bit. I'm feeling better now💅🏻
