Hello, how are you?i hope you're doing well,I've been dreaming and wondering how about some good animated adaptation of Terraria and i wonder how different the fandom could be after well decent quality animated series(if it was actually real) or do you think this game shouldn't have adaptations?I know it's random question but I can't stop thinking about the potential of nice Terraria animated series and how it would be difficult to make good quality series...
HELLO
Honestly I can't believe it is possible to make a NICE TERRARIA animated series: it will be a "good show" or a "terraria show" rather than something in between.
There are so many things going on in this game and most fans love it because of gameplay that can't be adapted to the animation, it requires at least a plot and characters.
We have lore... like 2 pages that no one is talking about because it's too vague. And we have NPCs...like very simplified characters.
Yes Minecraft doesn't have a story at all, BUT I believe in good Minecraft animated series more then good Terraria animated series, because the first one is at least consistent. Minecraft doesn't have a lot of features, it's quite simple. We have villages, swords, portals, zombies and dragons, doesnt sound too complicated. Terraria has too many things for a series, like...knights and aliens? Wings and cars? Futuristic cannons and ancient magic swords?
I personally...ignore most of the tech, the Martians and the cyborg (WELL I MEAN I IGNORE HIS CANON DESIGN) so my interpretation would be more solid because I have no idea how to include everything and make a nice worldbulding out of it (BUT YOU CAN SAY IT'S JUST MY SKILL ISSUE)
So... it is possible to make a good series only if you will cut a lot, and you're guaranteed to lose some "terraria vibes".
It is neither bad or good, I think it's very cool that different media are unique and sometimes you just cannot adapt something!
i have only just seen your empress of light art from sep 30 of last year and oh my god i'm so in love. idt i have ever seen someone capture her the way you do esp with those colors. have you played a lot of terraria and what's your fav class/emblem?
I'M SORRY I'M A POSER
It's been 8 years or more, and I've only completed Terraria myself... once, maybe twice in vanilla mode. Most of the time, I just build and walk around.
I know every item, every enemy, every NPC interaction, but I use all that knowledge to make pretty drawings, I still suck in this game. So my favorite class is emmm... ranged class because it's the easiest one, yeah... And I just think guns and bows are cool.
And btw I didn't defeat the Empress of Light, I don't think I even found a butterfly to summon her, I just look at her with admiration in journey mode and draw.
BUT I'M GLAD YOU LIKED MY DRAWING, THANK YOU
Hi! This is my first post on the sideblog. I've noticed that I'm actually drawing a lot, but I'm not showing anything because most of the time it's just rough sketches. So, if you want to see more of my art, I'm going to post everything here (and maybe reblog sometimes, I don't do it very often) OF COURSE MY FIRST SKETCHES WILL BE ABOUT TERRARIA hehe
LET'S GOOOo
I absolutely love your art and I was wondering how do you pick your colors? I feel like they always look so nice and blend in with each other really well
THANK YOUUUU
I think most of the time my colors blend into each other because I usually paint everything on one layer. Also I exaggerate the color reflections, for example, if the sky is blue, I add blue color to the character's hair, even if it's red, so that each object has color from different objects, just less saturated. I know about color theory and understand how to match these colors (like using red and blue as complementary colors, or cyan, blue, and violet because they are close to each other), but I believe that light and color reflections are the key to mixing everything together.
TERRARIA 1.4.5 YAAAAY
I hope you don't mind if I continue to draw NPCs the way I usually do, perhaps with very minor changes based on new portraits.
heyyy can i copy some of your builds on terraria or use them as inspiration anyway? :D they look so good! also great artwork!!
THANK YOU!
I'm not sure about copying them, like ctrl+c and ctrl+v? If it's just for fun in the game, then why not, I don't mind. As for inspiration, of course, you can take them. I don't think I'm doing anything extraordinary, I mean everyone likes to make diamond/romb-shaped glasses, or use different materials and paint them with brown/orange/gray paint to make the texture more interesting.
Also you can always ask me for tips for building, it is pretty simple :D
Fun facts! You're art is cool!!!!
Thank you :D
Some random cookie run sketches, I was planning to color them, but I didn't like the final result
And I also wanted to make something for Doughael if I got them, BUT I DIDN'T, SO NO, I'M NOT GONNA DRAW THEM
Please please please add this item to the game, I don't wanna kill npcs to have the right names for them
I am so normal about him...
I actually have a lot of cookie run sketches, but don't post them because...??? Probably I'm used to posting only polished drawings, this should be fixed
