♡ Sawyer's Darling Is Freaked Out By Her Powers ♡
(My mom scored 100% on the manager certification test today so all the studying was worth it, if anyone perhaps wants to commission me in celebration of my good luck I would be happy.)
♡ People in the city went about their lives trying to ignore the looming presence of the boss because if you really thought about it for longer than like five seconds, you might start to feel creeped out. There were lots of rumors about what the boss could and couldn't do, obviously she wasn't just always monitoring everyone, otherwise there wouldn't be a serial killer running around but there were too many times where she did call people in to tell them that their mate agreed to be in her debt just so she would find their human for them without them needing to just search every inch of the city on their own. Her employees dealt with this to a more extreme level though, sometimes she would stand near someone in the break room and say "I know you're planning on taking a sick day tomorrow so you can go on a date with your mate. Take it anyways but you owe me." This led to the false belief she could read people's minds when really she could just read intentions if she focused on someone, so as long as you stayed away from her or her mate, she wouldn't try to read all of your intentions. No one was more scared of this though, than you. ♡
♡ Every morning you would get texts just as you were relaxing in bed, free of her for once, debating skipping breakfast and she would text you that second telling you that she knew you were planning on skipping breakfast because she was always focusing on you. You took off your collar and she knew, but worse than that, she knew ahead of time you wanted to do it but chose not to say anything until you actually did it like she wanted a reason to scold and punish you so in the future you wouldn't even ever think about taking your collar off. If you went out she would tell you she approved of your destination if you were going shopping with your security team or text you to tell you no as soon as you stood up because she knew you were planning on ditching your guards or just visiting people she didn't approve of. That was freaky enough but her ability to make things you didn't like just disappear was unsettling. You stopped seeing spiders near you as soon as you moved in with Sawyer and when you thought about it, you never really saw them when you worked in the office before Sawyer claimed you even though there should have been at least a couple outside every once in awhile. Even employees commented on how there were never any annoying flies or gnats bothering them anymore though they didn't know that it was because you were Sawyer's mate and she didn't want there to be even a gnat flying in your face and bothering you as you worked. Those were just the bugs though, you saw a human disappear in front of your face once. ♡
♡ You were at a restaurant and a waiter tripped and almost scalded you with hot liquid but then they and the liquid just vanished. She said she put them outside instead to punish them for almost hurting you but there were rumors that people who did bad things were teleported to the forest so you had a strong suspicion that was where the waiter was sent. Probably a long with the liquid, spilling all over them, because Sawyer had somewhat of a sadistic side even when your eldritch wife tried to act normal. ♡
♡ She also seemed very aware you were freaked out by her because these were the only two powers she should directly to you even though you knew from rumors there was just so much more she was able to do, for one thing, on days where you knew she got a lot of requests she almost seemed not to eat anything at all, like having people owe her something was enough of a meal, one week you saw her eat nothing at all because people were constantly coming to her to ask her for things. You really really hated when that happened because those poor people didn't even know that she was basically consuming the idea of their debt and you couldn't warn them because if you wanted to, she would know your intention and warn you not to. The way she would shop with you was also bizarre. She would come in with you and look at items but then the money would already be paid before hand like she knew the amount she would want to spend before she got there, she just didn't know what the items she was getting were and when you went over the amount she would seem surprised though happy that her mate was spending more of her money than expected. Her talent at knowing how much money would be spent beforehand seemed to surprise a lot of people, while working for Sawyer she would draw up remodeling budgets that were exactly how much was going to need to be spent to the exact cent even when no one knew that the dry wall was going to have a hammer tossed through it in the middle of construction. ♡
♡ So escape was impossible, you were stuck with an eldritch monster and she knew that she had you stuck. ♡
