the word 'no' is expected from him, really. the sheer disbelief she receives from his stare nearly has her laughing, yet she withholds (for now) and crosses her arms. she stands her ground, chin lowering; one could easily mistake such a look as condescending. yet... perhaps there's some sort of pity that lingers in her gaze instead.
she doesn't relent. a hand then rises, clawed digit tapping her chin in mock thought. "unless... you're too cowardly to take up such an innocent idea?"
» — INSANE POPSTAR WANTS TO MAKE HIM MODEL (MORE NEWS AT 8PM).
"And I said no." The retort is as short as it is sharp, now that Zed knows she is being serious about this. It isn't news Evelynn has a knack for picking models, be it from her own midst, those already renowned and adored that would suit the task perfectly, or those who have yet to make a name for themselves. Regardless, she is infamous for never making bad calls in that regard — he has to question that reputation now, though blatant disbelief has already faded from his crimson gaze.
He is glad to work with her on other business, not this. She should know he would refuse. The very idea of making him model is absurd, even weren't he utterly uninterested in it. The diva may be content to balance her fame and other activities, but Zed would rather avoid the hassle of drawing any more attention to himself than necessary.
It was troublesome enough due to the people around him. He certainly didn't need to make his face known.
The scowl on his face should be as much answer as proof he is a poor pick for the task. It doesn't, however; she looks at him between condescension and pity, and he doesn't know which he despises more. No matter: his distaste also makes itself evident in the look he gives her, gaze meeting golden eyes.
"Innocent? Coming from you? That would be new," Moodiness makes him less cordial than usual; she is toying with him, he knows. Provoking in an attempt to get the reaction she so wishes. He is proud enough that his ego chafes at the accusation, but not enough that he can't see through the trap placed right in front of him. "Get Kayn, I'm sure he'll love the attention. One of his bandmates or something. It's not a matter of cowardice — it's a matter of this being a frankly stupid idea. I'm not exactly the model type."
