Literally Nobody is Without Opposition

The history around here confuses me at times. Sure, I have a basic understanding of what happened here back in the 90′s, but then every once in a while I stumble onto something under the floorboards that makes me question if I’ve been paying attention- like the box of badges I just discovered that proudly proclaim that the big hero of the whole event “stinks” and I should support some other kid named Cedric as “The Real Hogwarts Champion”.

Are you the Keymaster

So from what I’ve gathered, a couple decades ago the school ended up needing to keep some mcguffin safe, so they opted to put a bunch of wings on hundreds of little keys and have only one of them open some door. Why they didn’t just opt to NOT put the key that opened the door in that room is beyond me, but I’ve learned not to ask questions like that anymore.

Anyway, some kid got past their master security measures and they eventually took them down and uncharmed them all, except they didn’t. You missed one or two guys, because one just got me in the back of the head like a large angry metal mosquito.

You Wanna Know How I Got These Scars?

I’m carrying a ballpoint with me at all times now. Had to jot down some quick notes while making a small repair, so I grabbed what I assumed was a charmed self-inking quill out of the far back of an old (and surprisingly pink) cabinet in storage.

Now I have “2 5e Ethernet extensions, Huff dorm” scared into the back of my hand.

Strange New World... Again

I thought I had finally gotten used to the craziness of the wizard world, but after walking into a magical tavern yesterday filled with strange drinks, magical incantations, and new sports I had never heard of I felt like it was all new to me again…

Then Jessica had to inform me that we weren’t in a magically tavern, we were in a normal pub. The magical drinks were just regular microbrews with increasingly weird names, the magical incantations were just normal conversations with the regional dialect, and the crazy magical sports with rules I couldn’t understand was just Cricket and Rugby… 

Moral of this story, I’m now more acclimated to actual magic than the UK.

Quick Inquiry for Jonathan

Hello Sweetheart

At your earliest convenience, we received a rather odd artifact in the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office. I would like some feedback on it from your muggle friend, the one who accidentally portkeyed into my studio apartment a few months back.

At first we believed it was a matter for the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, but the small being that refers to itself as “Furby” may in fact be mechanical in nature.

I have it locked in a cage for sake of precaution, but I am getting worried for its well being as I don’t know what to feed it.
