Being fiercely protective of a fictional character is probably really bad for me because I am mad at other fictional characters all the time like genuinely most of the berserk cast annoys me. And a huge chunk of the fandom annoys me and makes me extremely mad. I am literally the casca akgae. I would have thrived on stantwt
âŠâą
my favorite casca manga panel by far . she looks so cute here im particularly obsessed with the way her hands are drawn like itâs so nice to see her like this instead of scared or super stressed đđđ
more of my favorite casca images she is so so so beautiful RAHHHHH
Guts:
girls
Some of yall r treading into the âshe had a crush on him so she mustâve wanted itâ watersâŠ.
What Disney rides do u think the berserk characters would likeâŠ..
Anon, the way I gasped out loud at this genuinely incredible ask. Truly the perfect intersection of my interests and I'm honestly speechless. Do you know me irl? Haha jk. Unless... đ

Guts: Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. Obviously this choice is a nod to my HC of Culinary Genius Guts lmao. Does he also have a shoulder pal Remy plush he wears around the parks? Maybe so. Maybe so.
Casca: Flight of Passage. Now, my bias definitely shows on this, since that's my personal favorite ride in all of Disney, and she's my favorite Berserk character. But...I HC Casca to be such a horse girl, so I firmly believe she'd have the time of her life riding what's basically Ikran Girl Simulator.
Judeau: Smuggler's Run. Tell me that guy doesn't have the potential to be some kind of pilot and that he wouldn't be a massive Star Wars fan. He'd also be great in the gunner position as well. (What sucks about that ride is if your party is too small, you get put with other people, and 9 times out of 10, they're total sticks in the mud and make for a very shitty pilot, engineer, or gunner. I'd need Judeau in my group lmao.)
Griffith: The Great Movie Ride. Yeah, I know it's not around anymore, but I have no trouble imagining him to be a cinephile in a modern AU, and he'd have appreciated the films featured. He quietly drops extra lore not covered by the cast member guide.
Charlotte: Under the Sea - Journey of The Little Mermaid. She's 100% a Disney girlie, and loves all the princesses. And I can see Ariel being a favorite.
Pippin: Na'vi River Journey. He enjoys how calm and quiet the ride is, along with the gorgeous visuals.
Rickert: Rise of the Resistance. I can HC him as being such a Star Wars nerd in a modern AU like Judeau, so he'd love this ride so much.
Schierke: Kilimanjaro Safari. She looooooves seeing all the animals and if she's anything like me when I was her age, she won't hesitate to flex those animal knowledge muscles and will get the answers to all the questions the cast member asks correct.
Serpico: Toy Story Mania. He consistently gets the highest score every single time. He's lethal and secretly very competitive. He'd also be a good gunner on Smuggler's Run lmao.
Roderick: Pirates of the Caribbean, obviously.
Isidro: Guardians of the Galaxy. Idk, I can see him being a huge Marvel fan in a modern AU.
Skull Knight: The Haunted Mansion. Need I say more? And I am actually crying at the image of him sitting in the Doombuggy.

If any Berserk moots and followers want to add on to this, I am begging you to please do so hahaha. I'm struggling to think of what rides Farnese and Corkus would like.
(The ride has been long gone, but there are several who would love Alien Encounter too, I think.)
Gosh, who'd like Soarin', I wonder? Most if not all of them. That ride is amazing.
I canât really pinpoint what Farnese would like either, but I feel like pre-guts Farnese would HATE Mr toad (reminds her too much of herself..? Had a passion for something so strong they did reckless things, will go to hell as a result!), and maybe sheâd like something preachy? Like hall of presidents (or as I call it, five nights at Abraham Lincolnâs). Or whatever the berserk equivalent would be. Hall of Holy See. But would that even count as truly liking it or would it just be her telling herself she does in order to affirm her worldview?
I can imagine current Farnese liking dark rides, but that could be a projection. Maybe Peter Pan bc magic is real.!!!!!! I can see her enjoying the shows too, like fantasmic
To be honest I donât remember much about corkus aside from 1) he looks like a tired old man and 2) he acts like a douche. Based on his tendency to act high and mighty despite his cowardice, I can imagine him getting in line for rollercoasters and gloating(?) the entire queue but freaking out when the vehicle actually starts moving.
I can totally see casca being particularly fond of soarin. She seems like the kind of person who would really like to see new things and go lots of places!!
Iâm not trying to start anything nor am I saying that Griffith and casca werenât friends pre-eclipse. I am actually a firm believer that Griffith and casca were good friends, at least before guts. But I want to remind you all that this is not how friends treat friends.
Iâll try to reconsider if someone gives me a legitimate, thoughtful explanation for why this is not at best ignorance on Griffithâs part and at worst a purposefully misogynistic humiliation ritual (and regardless, it is still extremely misogynistic. It could have been anyone but we ALL know he chose casca specifically because she is a woman). I, and many others, especially POC and women, find it extremely difficult to read Griffithâs actions towards casca as entirely non malicious when this is the second impression we get of his relationship with casca, the first being him ordering her around. The narrative establishes his superiority to Casca before we get to know either of them. I think that is important.
I do not think POC, especially black and brown people are âblowing it out of proportionâ when they see offense in art like that one movie promo of Griffith staring at casa in a bikini, while she covers herself with an embarrassed look on her face.
Actually even in a world where Griffith didnât assault or rape casca I would still hate that promo art. Like genuinely WHY does anyone even want to defend it. We already have background info that studio 4C and everyone involved in the making of the movies were raging misogynists why would they suddenly be âwholesome Griffcas friendship in another universe đ„°â instead of the very obvious âhaha woman half naked with her crush who is looking at her BOOBS look at how embarrassed she is. So humiliating, so funny!â which unfortunately aligns with like. Everything theyâve done pertaining to cascaâs character so far.
I've seen a bunch of "fandom etiquette" posts on my dash today and I'm going to say something that is maybe going to be unpopular but;
The absolutely pervasive mentality that unwanted criticism or critique shouldn't be given and should be ignored is why fans of color don't stay in fan spaces.
And I am not going to mince words here:
A lot of you are racist. A lot of your fan works are racist.
That might have been difficult to hear. And if it was, you should probably reflect on why that was.
"Fandom etiquette" has created a space where fans of color either bite our tongues and eventually leave or say something, get dogged on, and then eventually leave.
So much of "fandom etiquette" seems to be about insulating creatives from Feeling Bad and hostility to any kind of negative feedback is a pretty big contributor to why bigotry festers in these spaces.
Cute bird..
My girl was doomed from the start...
Yet another old sketch I felt was appropriate to post due to recent developments. Good luck, Farnese-chan!
