Working on a KomaHina fanfiction as a disguise of a self-indulgent self-insert…! Yes, I get delusions of being Nagito Komaeda so I get happy about KomaHina fanart of my dash since he’s literally me!!!

“I get you are concerned, but my matters are not yours to bear, Hinata. I know you are busy outside of your weekly visits with me. I’ve been giving Naegi updates myself, so your obligations are lifted.” Komaeda breathes heavy, his voice quiet but audible enough for Hinata’s face to darken.

“I- Komaeda… it’s not like that. I visit because I’m your friend and I’m worried about you,” Hinata uses his teeth to get the dead skin off his bottom lip, bleeding a little, “and again Naegi didn’t put me up to this. At least for not the past few times.”

“Past few times?”

“No, that’s not what I meant. Sorry, shit!” Hinata shakes his head, his fingers grabbing at the ends of his hair. His words were fumbling out of his mouth yet he was meeting Komaeda for the first time: clumsy and adolescent. He didn’t need to keep his guard or composure around his colleagues anymore, but that doesn’t make his mistakes any less humiliating. Much less to the ever esoteric Komaeda, and his careful words had more thought and caution than Hinata could know.

“And what would you have meant? An apology or another pitiful look? I don’t need charity.” Hinata could feel Komaeda’s resentment building, but whether it was to him or the person standing on the same side of the door wasn’t so clear. A rush of energy passes between his nerves, as if his body wanted to close the distance between them desperately. This conversation has happened but with different words and different memories. The breeze wasn’t always there, and the quiet wasn’t always comforting. An unbearable tension fills his head with failure and social constraint, but to bear is the solace Komaeda needs to persist.

Now that I have a partner that’s supportive of the fact I’m a selfshipper/yumeshipper, it feels both relieving and awkward. Yes, I love them very much and also I still gravitate towards Izuru whenever I feel close to a narc crash/antisocial flare. I don’t want to rely on my support network all the time, because I don’t want to hurt them.

I’m only friends with special people and Izuru helps me reinforce it.

Yumeshipping & Coping with a Cluster B disorder

As I want to keep as little information about myself on this account, I will not name what personality disorder I have besides the cluster. Even so, I want to talk about how yumeshipping has been helping me cope as someone with a cluster b personality disorder.

🥀 — I pursue most relationships as a way to covet what the other person has, whether it’s “networking”, success, power, or happiness. I recognize that this is shallow, however I have little to no alternative. So, Izuru is the embodiment of what I envy and also adore. Since he’s fictional, my possessiveness due to my ego is controlled in a way. I fully believe that I’ll become someone perfect like him someday.

🥀 — My boredom is limitless. Having someone who shares the same struggle helps, as well as carrying the weight of responsibility nonetheless. Obligations feel incessant— but the acknowledgement of them by someone who is like me helps ease it.

🥀 — Izuru’s existence is validating. His (past) need for admiration and newfound dismissal of other’s opinions is something I struggle with. Compliments create doubt and insults reinforce self hatred.

🥀 — My possessiveness of close confidants breaks me down mentally and physically. I end up becoming avoidant of possible emotional connection due to how much it hurts me to see how I’m not considered. I was able to confidently call Izuru my partner without that insecurity, then try to apply that logic to my other relationships.

🥀 — The lack of expectations Izuru provides assistance to self discovery while in a relationship, and prevents me from mirroring personality traits. Izuru decides to care for me because it’s a deliberate choice, and not because I present particular traits that make me “lovable”.

🥀 — I combat loneliness from my disorders everyday. I encourage anyone struggling to cope with unconventional methods no matter how “cringy” it is. As long as it helps you stay alive.
