How to explain your anti-possession tattoo to someone who thinks you worship Satan

So, like many people in the Supernatural fandom, I have an anti-possession symbol tattooed on my body. On my back, between my shoulder blades to be precise.

(that was right after I got it and it was still super swollen, yikes. XD)

Now to me, this tattoo has a lot of personal meaning. I got it at the same time as three of my best friends, so it represents a sort of brotherhood between us, and reminds us of the awesome weekend we had when we got them, and for me, it represents a defense against my personal “demons,” intense depression and self sabotage.

However, as I’m sure all of you who have this tattoo have experienced, since there is a pentagram featured in the center of the design, a lot of people who see it will assume you worship Satan and eat the heads of kittens, and stuff like that. While “it’s from a TV show” works on a basic level, people still look at you funny. Here is something you can say that will really make their head spin though:

“Well, the Pentagram has five points, which represent the five wounds of Christ on the Cross, and since it’s enclosed in a circle, it represents God’s protection and containment of the power of Christ’s sacrifice. A circle is also infinite, which represents the eternal life you’ll find in Heaven with God and Jesus after you die. And the sunburst enveloping it represents the Holy Ghost! It’s meant to represent the Holy Trinity, and to provide protection from evil spirits and the dark forces of Satan. Pretty cool, right?”
