4th Wall Joker AU: Mindfucked
For a fic, I feel like the 4th Wall Joker thing works best in the eyes of an outsider who are just totally mindfucked in the event Etienne is seen next to Joker. (Btw, I love Outsider POV fics)
To everyone else, Joker is a complete psychopathic lunatic clown who is obsessed with Batman and laughter.
It’s a total whiplash when said lunatic starts walking around without make-up as he respectfully accompanies a tiny doll-like girl around Gotham even the bloodier parts.
I’m just unsure who would be more mindfucked.
Batfam - Considering their history, especially as the Joker was responsible for Jason’s death and crippling Barbara, they have theories to what Etienne is and why the Joker is acting that way.
Jason Todd - More concerned about the little girl who may or may not be controlling the Joker especially when in his territory and whether or not she’s a real child.
Harley Quinn - Depending on the timeline/continuity, she thinks her Puddin’ has finally become a family man.
Regular citizens - Considering what they’ve seen and been through, they may think they’ve either started hallucinating or it’s a sign of the apocalypse.
Who gets more mindfucked?
Batfam
Jason Todd
Harley Quinn
Regular citizens

4th Wall Joker AU
I just thought of a great way Joker is revealed to have an otherworldly patron.
Assassins of demonic nature are found trying to kill the Joker who surprisingly dispatches them easily before letting himself be apprehended into Arkham.
John Constantine is brought in. When actually meeting the Joker, John scans him and reveals that someone put out a supernatural hit on the Joker.
He also asks Batman if he knew the psycho clown was a warlock with a very powerful patron.
Batman sighs and brings out a file as thick as an old bible, full of his notes and theories on the Joker, handing it to Constantine.
He had to brace himself when the shocking weight of the documents never tipped him over.
I’m undecided who would put a hit out on Joker this time specifically.
One option is both Ra’s Al Ghul and Vandal Savage who are jealous that Joker is Etienne’s favourite among them. (If it’s the continuity where they are part of the Horsemen)
Another is Vox and/or Lucifer who is having issues of someone else being the favoured father figure.
Joker: It’s so hard being popular😎
I don't know about the new horseman though my brother has mentioned Main DC comics universe going up against the Absolute DC comics universe.
When I mean by the 4 Horsemen, I mean it like a thing the Hazbin universe doesn’t have so we could make our own like the fandom does with other Biblical stuff.
I have no clue if DC has their own Horsemen.
Anyway, felt appropriate for Etienne who is influenced by Blitz to make the 4 Horsemen.
Etienne goes, "I want a horsie!" and gets the four deadliest horsies in the universe!
Said horses didn’t set out to be apocalypse level threats. They just are.
Depending on the AU, it varies like:
Normal: Niffty(Conquest) Milly(War), Vox(Famine)
4th Wall Joker: Joker, Ra’s, and Vandal

Hazbin Hotel: Elements of Harmony AU:
@periguita @kitsunesongs I did a bunch of polls for this a while ago to get other's thoughts on what the character's Elements of Harmony would be! Or is it Hell-ements of Harmony?
Alastor would be Magic:
Despite Charlie seeming to be the more outwardly obvious candidate for the Element of Magic, Alastor was ultimately the one who got everyone together, the plot moving forward and with whom without everything falls apart.
If there is anyone who needs to 'learn about friendship' like Twilight Sparkle, it's going to be Mr 'There Are No Friends In Hell But Sure Let Me Take Care Of Those Gangsters To Whom You Owe Money Free Of Charge' Alastor the Radio Demon.
Rosie idly comments upon first meeting him that he has 'a special soul', just like Twilight Sparkle has a special cutie mark that caught Celestia's attention being the shape of her Element of Magic.
Alastor is literally the Magic Man; performing REAL magic on Earth in the flashback, executing feats that were before considered impossible regularly before his arrival in Hell and casually uses magic while other characters like Angel Dust, Sir Pentious and even an angel like Vaggi herself seem limited to comparatively normal human feats.
Charlie would be Kindness:
Charlie is literally the Disney Princess Archetype whose kingdom just so happens to be Hell. Kindness and musical numbers come with the territory.
Charlie has admitted to Vaggi to having additional motives behind the Hotel -and that may be disenchanting to some- but we must remember what Charlie is still choosing to help others when she does not have to. The Hotel's goal in the story is to redeem sinners and get them to Heaven in hopes of ending a genocide. A genocide that was allowed by a father who ensured that the Exorcists cannot harm her in any way. Charlie could've tried any number of SAFER things to get her missing mother's attention, yet she still chose to do it in the nicest, gentlest way possible.
Charlie is kind to the point of naïvety. Her managing to hold onto that innocence and idealism in such a toxic place is genuinely an incredible feat.
A good chunk of her mistakes in the series were made due her lack of empathy, not a lack of compassion.
Angel Dust would be Generosity:
This was a struggle as Kindness and Generosity are so similar I was initially unsure of who should be what, but ultimately decided generosity, as Angel Dust has made a lot of personal sacrifices throughout the series, and certainly doesn't have much left to give.
This may even include the Sin that Angel Dust believes landed him in Hell; killing his own father, which many including myself believe to been done in defence of his twin sister Molly.
One of the first things we see Angel Dust do is dive right into the middle of a turf war despite the risk of losing his new rent-free residence because his bestie was involved. Cherri outright calls him out on this but he brushes it off.
Angel's greatest challenge in the story and the key to escaping Valentino is learning to value himself. In other words, to be as generous to himself as he is to others.
Vaggi would be Loyalty:
Her results in the poll were the most clear-cut! It is just that obvious.
Vaggi is 100% devoted to Charlie, to the point a common complaint about her character is that she doesn't have much going for her outside of Charlie. I do not think this is a writing flaw, but rather a natural character flaw from being an exiled soldier of a genocidal cult. Heck, the second season had her taking baby steps in forging a new identity for herself with giving herself a name other than the one Adam gave her and even finally standing up to Charlie.
Speaking of, Vaggi's increasing willingness to stand up to Charlie is an important part of being truly loyal to someone. If your friend is about to run into burning building you don't just stand back and wave them off. You stop them, otherwise you might as well have pushed them into the deadly flames yourself.
It would it be such a middle finger to the Exorcists who had abandoned her for being 'a traitor'. That alone is enough reason for me!
Husk would be Honesty:
Husk is often brutally honest, both for the best, like when he sang 'Loser, baby' with Angel Dust, and the worst, when he somewhat insensitively exposed other characters personal issues to make a point to (again) Angel Dust (which could've been a big mistake considering Angel is an unknowing spy).
He is incredibly observant and usually the first to notice when something is off, almost like he has a 'Truth Sense'. To date, he is the only one to figure out that Alastor was on a leash.
One of the most sensible of the Misfits- provided his main vices of alcoholism and gambling aren't involved- and is very self-aware of his own flaws. Even if he's initially wrong, like when he claimed that Angel doesn't need him, he will admit when he's made a mistake.
Niffty would be Laughter:
Like Pinkie Pie, Niffty is incredibly energetic and capable of moving at Ludicrous Speed.
Niffty has admitted to genuinely believing in Charlie's dream of redemption through her song! Too bad no one seemed to understand her.
Despite her obvious mental instability she is one of the few characters able to get a genuine smile from Alastor and freely touch him without revulsion. That speaks to the levels of joy she capable of bringing to her friends!
Niffty is outright meant to sound like Pinkie Pie with her even being voiced by the same voice actor as Pinkie's G5 successor, Kimiko Glenn!
Random Plot Ideas:
The Elements of Harmony are Holy Relics forged by God Themself to combat their polar opposite and their wicked creations. Them suddenly being bonded to One Hellborn, One Fallen Angel and four Sinners is enough to send Sera into a paranoid frenzy about how Hell has stolen their greatest defence and is clearly planning an attack!
Perhaps the previous wielders of the Elements included Sera and Lucifer and the other archangels.
The Speaker of God (or Anastasia) could act in the mentoring role like Princess Celestia.

Alastor in Equestria AU:
Oooh, is Fluttershy!Alastor is discovered living as a so called 'feral filly' years later? And maybe he was found while sneaking around the Canterlot Gardens for food and books on magic in order to go back to Hell.
It is there he would also discover Discord!Lucifer as a statue. There could be a funny moment where he goes, 'Wait, is that you Bambi? Aw, you look so small and cute!' to which Alastor snarls back at him viciously, causing cracks to start spreading on the statue before the pegasus filly is found by the palace guards and taken to the Princess as the cracks re-seal shut.
I was considering that with the fall temporarily killing him, that Alastor's wings weren't properly healed while he was living on the run, causing his wings to become permanently damaged. So, like Scootaloo, he is unable to properly fly but is capable of leaping l o n g distances and 'fluttering' above ground.
I love all of this! Yes, Alastor is a “feral filly” for a year or so before being found. Yes, they can’t properly fly but can flutter and parkour.
I’m thinking Cloudsdale was nearby Canterlot when Fluttershy fell and Alastor took over. The Canterlot Castle is super visible so it’s a possible place Alastor would go to especially observing their security as a joke.
Idea! When Alastor is caught, his aptitude in magic despite being a non-unicorn intrigued Celestia so much that she decided to take them on as a second student.
Twilight gets an academic rival/sort of friend who occasionally comes over to help take care of Spike.
I can see FlutterAl eventually leaving causing Twilight to be more closed off now that her rival/crush left her behind and doesn’t know how to deal with her feelings.
Then years later when Twilight is sent to Ponyville, she is less resistant when she finds out FlutterAl is there.
Another idea! The Hazbins arrive at different times depending the pony character’s death.
From earliest to latest:
Lucifer - Discord’s spirit dissipating due to prolonged 1000 years of Order.
Alastor - Fluttershy falling and hitting the ground.
Vaggi - Spitfire dies from high speed flying accident.
Angel Dust - Newby Sapphire Shores gets caught in a stage accident.
Husk - Trixie’s more dangerous tricks backfired.
Charlie - Moondancer dies from heartbreak/loneliness.
Niffty - Dragon dies from cursed treasure.
What do you think?
Work in progress!
She looks so evil!!! I am wondering if red eyes would better…
I am not sure about the Cutie Mark cause OG!Fluttershy had butterflies to indicate her talent with animals.
Shouldn’t Alastor’s Cutie Mark have something to do with radios?
Like a radio wave symbol or a cross between radio symbol and plant something.
There drawing is me still figuring out how FlutterAl is to look, so it is mostly a placeholder.
I was thinking that butterflies could also be involved in his cutie mark somehow because of the Butterfly Effect, since he is in the role of Fluttershy and Alastor's own known love of chaos.
What if he still had a thing about animals? Because he's antisocial.
What if he has the signals as little butterflies?
Maybe FlutterAl lives at the very edge of the Everfree Forest both to be away from the chaos in Ponyville and the fact the forest has many dangerous things that they absolutely adore.
Instead of regular animals, Timberwolves, cockatrices, manticores, etc.
Work in progress!

Alastor in Equestria AU
It occurred to me that Lucifer can join in the AU by replacing Discord.
Like he and Alastor are dropped in the same time but while Alastor becomes a young filly, Lucifer is a statue and he can’t get out.
By the time, Twilight and co. become the new bearers of the Elements, Lucifer is a little more touch starved and clingy to Alastor, recognising him instantly despite his new form.
(Lucifer is surprisingly not worse from the statue thing because as an angel, he doesn’t follow time the same way as usual people)
Another idea is when Alastor was on a school trip to Canterlot, they could recognise Lucifer in the statue and actually hear him.
I think Alastor would find a way to keep themselves close by.
Idea #1: Despite being a pegasus, they attend Celestia’s school and passed the entrance exam by using voodoo/white magic.
Idea #2: They get a job in Canterlot Castle. Gardener or animal caretaker maybe?
When Discord!Lucifer gets out there's an army of rubber ducks spawning in everywhere and Fluttershy!Alastor has a clingy white and gold snake wrapped around him! Celestia wasn't prepared for this scenario.
Oh, what if all the Hazbins are in Equestria!!?
Here are my suggestions:
Charlie - Moondancer
Narratively I feel like this would be interesting because OG!Moondancer tries to befriend Twilight and failed, and I can see Charlie!Moondancer try to befriend Twilight too but also fail.
Like Charlie is very stubborn and tries about anything but nothing grabs Twilight’s attention. Charlie is eventually ghosted by Twilight and it hits different because it’s a different set of circumstances and context.
Vaggi - Opal (Rarity’s cat)
Both are very disagreeable and aggressive to most people.
Angel Dust - Angel Bunny
There is literally another character called Angel.
Cherri - Fleur De Lis
A crack choice that has a fancy pony be a punk rock gal.
Husk - Trixie
Both are magicians who use tricks and sleight of hands to perform on stage.
Niffty - Red Dragon
I just love the idea that Niffty becomes a huge red dragon and when Twilight and co. drag Alastor!Fluttershy to help they are shocked by how much the dragons is so affectionate to the pegasus.
Little Rose Bud: Etienne’s Supernatural Title
I was thinking about the supernatural titles some characters have.
Like Lucifer is the Devil, Alastor is the Radio Demon, Roo is The Root of All Evil, etc.
If a cult were to try to summon any one of them, they have to use the alternate name cause otherwise the being may take offence at the use of their personal name from a stranger’s lips.
I was wondering what is a good supernatural title for Etienne.
Fandom has Anti-Christ for Charlie but Etienne is Lucifer’s daughter too so it may be a title that can be shared between them.
Here are a few ideas:
Lady of the Horsemen - Etienne unintentionally creates the 4 Horsemen. Members will vary depending on the AU.
In 4th Wall Joker AU, current placeholders are Jack Napier/Joker(Conquest), Vandal Savage(War), Ra’s Al Ghul(Famine)
Death is an honorary position and is always The Root of All Evil(Roo or Alastor) who beats the other three.
Herald of the Dark Roots - Works for both Roo and later Alastor as her presence guarantees a 80-90% chance of The Root of All Evil coming.
The Poppet Child - “Poppet”references Etienne’s doll-like appearance and how she looks like a child. The title tries to imply false child feels because to the outside observers she can’t be an actual child.
Which do you like best?
Lady of the Horsemen
Herald of the Dark Roots
The Poppet Child
Backstory Ideas for 4th Wall Joker AU
From a young age, Jack Napier knew the world was odd. Sometimes places or people would disappear for months only to reappear as something entirely changed. No one but him notices. His words dismissed as a child’s imagination.
His own parents were one of those changes. Sometimes they were a normal middle class family living in the suburbs. Sometimes they were destitute struggling in Park Row amidst the cigarettes and booze.
Jack tried to live a normal life despite the shifts happening around him. And for the most part it was alright. He got a decent white collar job and made it around his mid-20s before his awareness came into fully strength.
Jack finally understood the true nature of his world’s entire existence by peering into the 4th Wall. He understood why things disappear or change and was scared to disappear along with Gotham.
Jack knew about a possible role he might have as the Joker but it was optional because the true identity varies depending on the continuity.
Jack eventually decided to become Joker but after trying for a while he realises he’s just a regular man. He needs something to give him the edge he needs and prevent other Jokers from rising up so he goes for the supernatural option.
Due to the power of the Plot, Jack is successful and summons Etienne(Pre-Hotel/Early-Rosie) who is powerful enough and more lenient than most high ranking demons, and they strike a Deal.
Basically they become patron(Etienne) and warlock(Jack).
On Jack’s side, he gets pseudo-immortality. He can still die but he doesn’t stay dead. His pact with Etienne has him in her service. So long as their pact isn’t broken, he’ll come back to life.
On Etienne’s side, Jack is more or less her pet. He is in her servitude. He cannot betray her. He cannot leave her. He has to do anything she wants. (Etienne is having issues at the moments because Roo left her with Rosie)
Fast forward a few years/decades for the DC Dimension and Joker is known as Clown Prince of Crime and the reboots/changes have been happening less and less.
What do you think?
@kitsunesongs @randomreader92 @mermaid-of-the-valley @megandog21 @the-ghost-of-my-bones @salllzy @proshipper-on-ship
Alright, a few questions. 1) How does Jack, aka Joker, find out about demon summoning? Does someone casually mention something, or is it something that he finds out from a book in the library? Does he overhear someone mention doing a summoning? 2) How does Jack become the Joker? Is it due to Eti's powers infecting him? Or is it because of Roo? 2) Is Roo interested in the bond between Eti and the Joker? If so why? How does she learn about it? I do have more questions, but I think that is more than enough for now.
1.) Jack didn’t specifically use “demon” summoning but more like general “calling any entity” summoning. He could’ve gotten a fae or something eldritch if they were interested.
As for how he learned how to do it, he peered into the 4th Wall and saw how other magic users like Zatanna, John Constantine, Circe, etc. do it.
2.) Jack becomes the Joker due to a sliver of Roo corrupting him. Roo is always monitoring Etienne and knows every major use of her power.
Roo at the time was still struggling over actually having a bit of love for Etienne so in a slightly overprotective manner corrupts Jack to have Etienne break the pact.
To her surprise, Jack may have been more crazy and unhinged but he doesn’t turn against Etienne.

Ideas for the story:
Jack/Joker mentally adopts and becomes another father figure for Etienne because she is one of the few things that keep him sane(-ish).
Time in DC and Hazbin Hotel are not linear due to the former’s time shenanigans so most of the time Etienne is summoned by Joker she’s still a child.
The Joker is known to the general public as an independent wildcard Rogue but a smaller portion of the criminal underworld knows he is actually working for someone.
Jack/Joker limited himself by the law of the narrative to not have powers unless absolutely necessary. Like an apocalypse.
Post-Hotel Etienne calls Jack to complain about Lucifer a lot.
Jack is a ride or die girl dad.
Jack is one of Etienne’s Horsemen(of the Apocalypse).

Blue Blood Deer x Expiredverse
I remember Silena wanting to inject Alastor with drugs to make him addicted.
I then remember Gwen!Alastor cannot be mind-controlled, poisoned or drugged because they have a strong will and a mechanical body plus the blue blood.
I also remember a suggestion of Olivia being completely immune to stuff like that too as a part of her punishment as a Sinner. She cannot blame anything else for her actions. It’s just her.
I like to think if Silena tried something on the seemingly more vulnerable Olivia, she is in for a nasty time as she has to fight control over her own body after her drug failed.
Ohhh yes. In this version, I'm assuming Olivia is around in the 30's (because lets be real Silena is dying soon lol), though she doesn't remember the future, and Gwen!Alastor knew where she was and went and took her in. (Olivia is in the form of a child but not actually a child, and so refuses the Orphanage, and she also can't be one of Lilith's and Alastor is refusing the basement because he needs to be with her...Lucifer does what he was thinking of when Alastor possibly not having a free position open for him occurred to him, and kills one of Lilith's servants, and gets Olivia in as a servant. Her official role is 'Lu Lu World/Theme Park Advisor'.
And yes, Silena can't drug Gwen!Alastor, and the moment she tries Olivia is attacking. If she tries to drug Olivia, possibly to get her to drug her 'mother' after, she's in BIG trouble.
Number of Kills AU
I was thinking what if there is a representation of Alastor’s affection/friendship/love and it’s in candle form.
The size of a candle and the appearance of its flame shows what Alastor feels for the person.
A tall flame indicates how much patience/tolerance he has for the person.
Ex.
Amelie has the biggest one with the size of a lighthouse and a star as a flame. (Alastor loves her greatly and sees her as a guiding light)
Lucifer has the smallest candle(smaller than Vox’s) and the flame is nearly extinguished barely a glow on the wick.
Oooh, I like this idea! I imagine the candles are in the mental bayou, and Charlie notices and asks what they are and he says they're his affection for people, and points out - possibly they have names on them, or their appearances are related to that person? Something that means you know whose is whose.
Vox gets to see his has a medium sized flame and is surprisingly big (Alastor has a lot of patience for Vox and still lots of affection) and is bigger then everyone but Husk, Niffty, his mother and Charlie. Lucifer gets to see his is the smallest. Charlie gets to see how big hers is, and be happy.
Little Rose Bud AU
I heard “Two Birds” by Regina Spektor and the lyrics made me think of Samael and Lucifer.
Samael is the one who flies from the wire, willing to spread his wings and explore and be free, while Lucifer is the one still on the wire because he is more cautious and is afraid to take the leap.
Hello!
Ohhh
That is a very beautiful and interesting interpretation of the song.
Of course, Samael, the dreamer full of hope, expectation, confidence, optimism and curiosity, would have no problem "getting away from the wire", wanting to fly free to explore and get to know humanity and everything around it.
Whereas Lucifer, to be fair, already "stepped away from the wire" once, and ended up falling and being seriously injured by it, with no possibility of "returning to the wire".
I imagine Samael extending a hand to Lucifer, trying to convince him that everything will be alright, while Lucifer insists that there are many things that Samael does not know or understand, to which Samael replies that that is not true.
(Two birds on a wire. One tries to fly away, and the other watches him close from that wire. He says he wants to as well, but he is a liar. I'll believe it all. There's nothing I won't understand. I'll believe it all. I won't let go of your hand)
I imagine a curious Samael wanting to explore Hell, trying to convince Lucifer to give him a tour since, after all, that's his realm...right? But Lucifer just makes excuses, refusing, "postponing it" and inevitably causing someone else, probably Etienne, to guide Samael through Hell.
(Two birds on a wire. One says, "C'mon" and the other says, "I'm tired. The sky is overcast, and I'm sorry". One more or one less. Nobody's worried)
They are supposed to be the same being from different eras, but Samael continues to flourish, continues to learn, to know, to explore, while Lucifer has already done all that and emerged wounded and disappointed, perhaps wanting to change his past but knowing that no matter how much he warns Samael about the terrible future, nothing will change because it is a cycle destined to occur; however, it still confuses him that Samael is not more horrified by what he is seeing.
Perhaps the fact that Samael retains that spark in hell while Lucifer lost it upon falling, only makes him feel more resentment for his past.
(Two birds of a feather. Say that they're always gonna stay together. But one's never going to let go of that wire. He says that he will, but he's just a liar)
Although I think that, in time, Lucifer will have to remember that chicks can only learn to fly if they launch themselves from their nests...maybe he was too busy with the ducks to remember how other birds work, but not all changes are bad.
After all, some changes bring better things. The times Lucifer has made changes have brought him wonderful gifts (Charlie and Etienne)
Samael can surely help him to see that.
@megandog21 Maybe the reason why Samael thrives while Lucifer doesn’t was the absence of a major action based on “good intentions” that created unintended consequences and the lack of people who vilified/traumatised him.
Unlike Lucifer, Samael’s good intentions did not cause major consequences yet. At most, he gets scolded or his peers/siblings get annoyed when something unexpected happened and have to work around the chaos his actions bring.
Lucifer’s intentions and action with the Apple, while good, allowed the Root of Evil to manifest and gain form. In an act of Pride, he thought himself wiser, and disregarded caution by giving Eve the Apple.
Also unlike Lucifer, Samael never Fell/severely wounded/was traumatised when he got to Hell. Instead, he met people who became his support system and showed him despite how vastly different the realm was from Heaven, it wasnt completely bad.
