opened tumblr for the first time in five years to say that Sorcery and Small Magics is such a precious, precious book. i never thought i still had it in me to feel this much joy reading about chaotic characters bickering and arguing and arguing, yet still growing some sort of reluctant affection for one another (and by that i mean nearly dying to save the other).

the curse being broken in That Way might've been predictable but what a nicely done revelation, oh god. i will die if i don't get the second book wallahi.

never have my feelings been this jumbled up over a fictional work before. everything about at the end of the road is emotionally and mentally draining to the point i wake up with achiness in my chest and my mind foggy in morning mist. it feels like the author took a glance into some fever dream of mine and wrote this work for me. i can't explain it with words. all i know is that i'm a mess and i need to get my shit together.
