Yes, the Yautja show emotion. Yes, the Yautja do things besides hunt and fight. Yes, the Yautja have a sense of humor. No, it's not canon that female Yautja are bigger, stronger, and more aggressive than the males, but they ain't weaker than them either. There are female Yautja who hunt and fight. Like with Star Wars, there's a whole universe beyond the Predator movies. Even if you haven't read all or any of the novels or comics, you can still read the Xenopedia summaries.

Also, the "mystery of the Predators" died with the introduction of the AVP comics and when Greyback and the Lost Clan made their debut in Predator 2. If the franchise wasn't meant to be expanded, it would have ended with just Predator back in 1987 and eventually faded from most people's memories.

Every now and then there's this stupid discourse about what Yautja females are supposed to look like, and you can tell who's actually done their homework and who's trying to stir the pot. Even in canon, there's no consensus on what Yautja females look like. So don't be coming online saying "Yautja women are not bigger than the males" or "Bring on the feminine Yautja" when the evidence itself on Yautja females is inconsistent.

Whatever happened to live and let live? These are all fictional characters, they're not real. There's a saying going around that a lot of people in this fandom need to take to heart: don't like it, don't read. Let people write what they want, and you can avoid it if it's not your thing by easily not opening the fic. The fandom is already small enough as it is with very few writers, this gatekeeping just scares potential new writers away.

I do feel for people who are new to the Predator fandom, because for many their first impression of the fandom is a bunch of dumbasses waging harassment campaigns against people who took issue with people placing a minor character in sexual situations.

It's still debatable whether Dek is a minor or an adult, but a lot of people still chose to place him in sexual situations as a minor knowing the controversy it would cause. So rather than admit they messed up, people are harassing, bullying, and trash talking people to distract from the fact they screwed up in sexualizing a character seen by many as a minor.

There's a lot of cool people in this fandom, and it sucks that it's the jackasses who scream the loudest.

A lot of people in this fandom can't tell the difference between a woman being sexual or sensual, and a woman who's just existing as a curvy and/or busty individual.

A Yautja woman having big boobs in and curves =/= sexualized. Do you think curvy and busty human women are sexual just for existing?

Unless a Yautja woman is placed in a sexual situation or a pose meant to arouse a sense of sensuality or sexuality, she's not being sexualized. Get your heads out of the gutter and stop thinking like creeps.

Not enough people in this fandom understand the difference between a sexual pose, a sensual pose, and a non-sexual pose. A female Yautja having big boobs doesn't make her sexual. If she's in a pose meant to evoke a sense of sensuality or sexiness, or she's in a sexual situation, then she's being sexualized. If she's kicking ass or just hanging around, she's not sexualized. Get your minds out of the gutter.

Mod question: why do you allow callout posts? All it does is allow for harassment and then gives the accusers an anonymous shield. So we’ve created a third option—something other than staying silent or calling someone out yourself. You come to us. Let us take a look and decide whether it’s worth the heat. If you had scrolled juust a bit further down on our introduction post, you would've seen this

Which explains how "calling someone out" on this blog works. First, you'll tell us who you're calling out and for what. What did they do?
