Sangwoo nodded softly, running a hand back through his hair. “I’ll even show you funny things when they show up on my phone. Or we could even end up watching a movie or something if you were in the mood for that. It’ll be that sort of chill hang out.” He suggested with a small shrug. Anything seemed nice in his opinion.

“that sounds so nice.” the girl hummed, glancing up at the other. “you can’t really get that at the ‘cherry kiss’ dorm. we’re all so active and loud. but it’s a nice feeling when we do settle down and watch a movie.” she giggled, “haven’t been able to do that since promotions started.” she groaned out.

Hwan nodded, getting up and following the woman to a different room. “Thank you for talking to me again, I really needed this and i just can’t wait to debut. I know things will get harder though but i know you’ll be there every step of the way.” He said, smiling brightly. He felt a lot better that he was being taken care of. Especially from Hyeri. She seemed like the perfect girl to go t, with all the problems he’s been having. Girls always seem to understand his feelings more then guys. 

hyeri hummed, glancing over at the other. “it’s really not a problem. i understand what you’re going through and i only wish that someone could’ve been there for me when i was going through the same thing. you’ll debut. our ceo knows what they’re doing. they’re waiting for the perfect time to debut you. trust me, it will happen.” she shot him a small smile, pulling him into a nearby cafe. “plus, it’s been a long day. you need to eat.”

“I’ll make a proposal one day about it but our ceo would most likely deny it to save time.” she shook her head, a laugh escaping her lips. “oh, really ? “ she asked, a smile adorning her lips. “we should've done this sooner.” she glanced over at the other. “huh ? i can pay. you really don’t have to pay for me.”

━ ◦ ✧ ✽ STEVIE FELT PROPERLY COWED at the scolding. they deserved it. these were the exact habits that lead to stevie very nearly being passed up by century. they chalked up them even being in the company to sheer luck alone. one would think that would make someone a bit more careful, appreciative, but stevie’s entire life has always been one of never looking at the bigger picture. they never learned how to think ahead and focus on how it would affect anyone else, beyond themselves and their own wants. “ how could i cause you to worry about me ?? i feel better knowing that you are tucked in safe at the dorms and getting the rest you deserve, ” stevie soothed, hoping to sound as charming as possible to placate the younger girl. “ yes, please take care of me because i really am not good at doing it myself, ” they joked. “ i may be older, but i’m the real baby between the two of us. ” they leaned into hyeri’s hand, reaching for the box and pulling out a napkin and a piece of chicken to place in front of themself and their friend. “ here. we can share the last few. ” 

hyeri’s eyes softened. a small smirk played on her face slightly. she knew the hardships and the stress that her group mate had to go through constantly. though, she believed that stevie was the better rapper in the group despite hyeri being the main rapper. though, she did see what the other still had to go through. “i worry about you anyways because you’re my group member and my friend, you’re human, stevie. you deserve rest as well.” she sighed out, but she couldn’t stop the giggles that were spilling from her mouth. “i’ll gladly take care of you.” she just laughed, shaking her head. “i’m not known the mother of the group for nothing. i have to constantly look over the three of you.” she admitted, deciding that she would take that role as soon as they first got together as a group. “you eat first though.”

“okay.” sung-ki takes a moment to remember the lyrics, before he starts at it, rapping to the song and adding in some hand movements to make it feel cooler. he knows he’s not the best, but he’s trying. he’s off beat and stumbles along some words, and then he stops completely when he forgets what comes next. “i forgot the rest of the song,” he says with a laugh.

hyeri had the biggest, toothiest smile resting on her face. she found it hilarious that the other had actually listened to her and rapped one of her groups songs. though, she was impressed. she clapped her hands along to the beat, nodding her head along. “you know, i do see potential in you.” she giggled. “you just need to learn to memorize the lyrics.” she shook her head, glancing over at the other. “and learn how to stay on beat.”

Sangwoo looked over to Hyeri only to laugh a bit and give her an unapologetic shrug. “People pay attention to me all day long. I’m a leader and I can catch onto choreography quicker than some others, and I like to do solo things.” He pointed out. While he wasn’t exactly an introvert, the attention of being an idol did sometimes get to him. “It’s fine though. Quiet company is sometimes the best kind of company to have around.”

hyeri sighed out, unfortunately, she could understand completely. she was given a whole lot of attention everywhere she went basically. although, she was very grateful for the people who supported her and made her feel loved. sometimes, she just needed to be left alone, locked in her own room and sleep for a whole day. she nodded, “i know how that feels.” she gave the other a warm smile in return. “yes, quite company is always something that can be looked forward to.” she said softly.

“I’d almost prefer it if your attention was on Tofu instead of me,” Sangwoo admit with a laugh. As much as he liked spending time with his friends and stuff, most of the time when he was in his room for more than to get dressed or to sleep, it was to find a moment of quiet and even alone time. But he’d make an excuse for Hyeri, of course. 

“wow, now i see how it is.” she put her hand to her chest with a fake hurt expression written on her face. “and to think you would fight back on my statement and say that you’d get sad if i wasn’t paying you any attention.” she ended up just shaking her head. “i’m joking, i can completely understand.”

━ ◦ ✧ ✽   SOMETIMES, STEVIE FORGOT JUST how sensitive and sweet their group member could be. they reminded themself to be more careful about her feelings. not because hyeri was fragile or anything, but simply because stevie needed to remembered to take other’s feelings into account when they got a little wild. they cooed as they cradled hyeri to their chase. “ my poor baby, i’m so sorry, ” they exclaimed, petting back the girl’s hair. “ i’ll go buy more chicken wings, it’s okay !! you’re not stupid, love. it’s my fault, i wasn’t thinking. ” they kept on patting her hair, even moving to rub soothing circles into the younger girl’s back. “ i had a headache, but i decided to practice anyways. i went out drinking last night, so it’s my fault for not being prepared today. i’m sorry i made you worry, lovebug. ”

hyeri sniffed. refusing to let another ugly sob escape her throat as she was wiping her tears away. only few days ago she swore to herself not to cry anymore or at least stop crying at anything stupid, but as she took a glimpse at the mirror in front of her all she could see was a crying mess, with a red swollen nose and strands of black hair sticking to her face. however, right now she had to focus on stevie, after all she was worried about them and now it was stevie who was comforting her instead of her checking on her friend’s well-being. “ i told you to call me whenever you’re tired or not feeling well so i could come pick you up.” she sulked, brushing her hair behind her ears. “ it’s okay, you eat them.” her pout turned into a smile, as she grabbed for the last three pieces which were safely packed in the half-open box and pushed it to them. “ i’ve just eaten you need some energy and we can grab something to eat later. after all you’re my little child and i need to take care of you” she laughed, as she reached out her hand and combed through her best friend’s hair.

“at least you’ve heard worse,” he says, and then laughs. “uh, i could. maybe. what rap part do you want me to do? because i’m just tempted to do the ‘i don’t want a boy, i need a man,’ part just because i think it’s funny.”

“i suppose there is some hope for you.” she nudged the boy playfully. “yes please.” she nodded almost immediately, “that part is a good one to start off with.” she said, glancing up at him. “i just also really want to hear how you do on this, hearing someone else rap the part.”

A relieved sigh slipped from her tiers upon the feeling of the cool night air welcoming her. She sometimes took some time to relax on the company’s rooftop before or after a busy day. it wasn’t new for hyeri to find herself up on her company’s rooftop. in fact, that’s where she spent most of her nights to relax and get away from the stress of things. the one thing that was a plus for her was the view. she always enjoyed looking out at the lights of the city, letting the wind softly hit her face. it was satisfying. she stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the other person, though, a soft smile made it’s way onto her face. “i didn’t expect anyone to be up here.” she made her way next to the other. “i like it up here, it’s nice.” she smile brightly. “what about you ?”

“Please do, I feel bad for not listening.” He said sincerely. Knowing that she was right, Minho just lowered his head he listened, nervously playing with his hands. The last thing he needed was for a new scandal to start about how Century was overworking Asterism members. All the stories from the past would no doubt resurface and he’d be the one to blame. “I know I was being reckless. Gonna try to stay awake, at least long enough for my manager or one of my members to show up.” The visual texted his leader as well, just to make sure and then looked up at her with a smile. “Thank you.”

“it’s okay, really. you’re feeling tired and i can understand. i’ve fallen asleep on my group mates sometimes whenever we get done with practice and they’ll start talking.” she admitted, laughing at the situation. hyeri watched his reaction, a small sigh escaping her lips. all she wanted to do was protect him from any unwanted drama, and that what she was going to do, no matter what. “i understand, but i just want you to feel safe. plus, this couches are kinda uncomfy. it wouldn’t feel good to wake up in this.” she shook her head. she watched as the boy texted his member and his manager. “you’re welcome, minho.”

━ ◦ ✧ ✽  STEVIE STARTLED A BIT at the sound of hyeri’s voice, sounding a lot more upset than they were expecting. they lifted their head and squinted at their group member, nearly jerking back when she landed right next to them. “ babe, baby girl, jesus christ – ” they lifted their hand, pressing a finger to hyeri’s lips. it was a warming thought, that hyeri would be so alarmed if stevie did get hurt, but the shouting brought stevie’s attention back to the pounding headache they were sporting. it was bearable for the moment, and they couldn’t help the giggles that spilled out. “ it’s okay. ‘m okay, ” they promised, before lifting their arms up once again. their need for physical affection was always ravenous, and they adored showering love onto their members. hyeri getting so worried for them made them feel like their affection for the girl was just spilling over. “ am hungover. need you to cuddle me. i need all the hyeri cuddles. ”

usually, hyeri would find herself being dramatic and crying about a lot of things lately, whether it be serious or not, she had a reason to feel sensitive. actually hyeri decided not to cry today, after all the day had started off so well, with everything calming her down and even making her breathe comfortably. but here she was, surrounded by fried chicken greasing the floor, now having her arms wrapped around stevie’s slender body, streams of tears dripping on their shoulder as she was sobbing loudly and muttering  “i thought something had happened.” the tears didn’t want to stop, and hyeri hugged them even tighter. “i thought you were dead , and now we only have three chicken wings left because i’ve been too stupid to realize you weren’t.” she continued bawling. “ why were you lying on the floor, did you forget to eat before practice ? why are you doing this to me, stevie” she hiccuped, burying her face into their shoulder.

━ ◦ ✧ ✽ STEVIE GROGGILY SHOVED THEIR sunglasses farther up their nose, groaning as they curled up on the floor in the middle of the dance studio. the bright lights were too much on their sensitive eyes and the music was too loud for the pounding in their head, but getting chewed out for missing practice was not particularly high on their list of things they wanted to happen today. hence, them desperately trying to ignore their hangover and going over the choreo for cherry kiss’ latest song by themselves. they heard the door open behind them and their arms came up immediately, beckoning whoever it was over with a whine. they weren’t fussed over who it was interrupting their practice, as long as they came over to cuddle.

hyeri had just returned from a long day outside, going out and letting the sound of nature calm her down. even though she had to be followed by a manager, it had been too long since she had been outside, just pampering herself and letting the sun rays warm her heart. it was only then she decided to visit her group mate knowing they were in the studio still. the excitement was written on her face, carrying a plastic bag with chicken and cans of coke peeking out of it. but before she could even call for stevie, terror smacked the smile off of her face. the only thing she could see was her friend lying on the floor. “stevie ?!” she gasped, the plastic bag slipping from her hands as she ran to stevie, kneeling down in panic. “stevie it’s me, please open your eyes ! you can’t do that to me !”

they went back to the clothes rack, flipping through the other options the stylist had laid out during their meeting.  ‘ the thing is, i don’t even know what the next concept is. i think the managers are still trying to figure out a song that can work with our voices. ’  until then, however, yuna and their fellow members bounced around ideas among each other and experimented with the stylists for future looks. yuna smirked, a little blush still creeping on their cheeks.  ‘ you know … like rihanna … s&m … chains and whips excite me … ’

hyeri stood back and watched, she looked at every single option was laid out in front of her. her fingers ran through her hair as she thought. “your concept is a lot more different than ours. that’s how it usually is at least. if it’s still going along the ‘sexy’ vibe route. then these clothes laid out would all be good options.” she pointed out. “i think that’s the song they made me freestyle to when i auditioned. but having the whip physically ? i’m a lot more innocent than i look, i guess.” she chuckled out.

okay, yeah, he sucks at rapping, but at least she was laughing. so that’s a plus, right? he can’t help but to laugh a bit himself, although it’s still a bit sheepish. “not bad? really?”

the girl looked at the other, piercing her lips. “it was .. entertaining.” she gave the other an assuring grin. “i mean, i’ve heard worse.” she admitted, trying not to sound too harsh on the boy. “can you try the rap from boombayah ?”

It seemed her rhetorical answer got a reply. The trainee, still mired in her depressing lunch looked to where the voice came from and she smiled. “It’s not like they’d notice with me either. I’ve been the same weight since middle school, which sounds ideal but I mean…I just don’t gain weight. Trust me, I’ve tried,” she mumbled off, crossing her arms over her chest as she stared at her antagonist of a lunch. “But I’ve rocked the boat enough for a trainee, I think. This isn’t the hill to die on as my mom would say.”

hyeri’s lips parted slightly, understanding everything that was being said. personally, she could relate to the trouble of weight gain. she shook her head, picking up one of the items from the table. “i don’t think it’s fair that they tease us like this. i have a constant craving for ramen and chocolate, but that’s still not healthy enough for the diet plan they put me on.” she glanced over at the other girl. “i hope that they loosen up a little after this comeback. then they’ll let me take trips to the convenience store.” she sighed out. “to each their own. i mean, the healthy food can’t be too bad ? right ?”

“Okay, I was only half-listening.” Minho admitted, sending her an apologetic smile. Seeing the worry on Hyeri’s features, he frowned a bit. “I’ll really be fine, don’t worry!  And hm, probably? I helped him with some tasks lately so that got me ‘manager perks’. Carrying me to the dorms must be included on those, right?” The idol mused, getting his phone to text Liang. “I appreciate that, but if you’re busy you don’t have to! I’ll just try texting one of my group members if Liang hyungnim doesn’t come pick me up.”

“it’s okay, i can tell you all about it later.” she gave the other an assuring smile. she could relate highly to this problem and situation, though, she never found herself sleeping in the open, or on the couches. the oddest place she found herself sleeping was in the recording studio. but of course, that was only once. “i’m still going to worry minho. someone could come in here and take photos and who’s going to distract them , hm ? i don’t even think my manager would do that. i wish.” she chuckled, only to shake her head a moment later. “i’m not busy. i can wait. i hate myself if something wrong happened.”
