Among the little things I overanalyze are Tamsy’s hair and hairstyle.
Several times in the manga, his black hair is highlighted (with Amo, when he joins Rudo in Chapter 109). And of course, there’s the moment during his day-off when he styles his hair with his hair clip, and the moment when he stands in front of Corvus, holding his two black pigtails.
It’s this last scene, along with the most recent chapter, that has me thinking. What if the two tubes (it’s hard to tell what material they’re made of) holding his black hair in place were like the handcuffs we see in the latest chapter? They’re used to restrain his powers. They're shackles.
That’s why he’s never been seen using his jinki with his first name—because he’s prevented from doing so. The only time he’s allowed to remove them is when he’s off duty and with Corvus’s permission.
