*Trips*
*he stifles a laugh* karma
I-
Is that my grave? Or yours?
*dead*
Oh it’s yours, okay uh….
Holy hades-! *jumps away*
I do not get paid enough for this..
You have started another apocalypse, Peter
It's my 1 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳
"What's with the red?"

“It’s so bad guys can’t see me bleed!”
"Okay... what about good guys? Shouldn't they need to see?"
She wakes up early in the morning and showers. A hot shower, shes surprised it didnt burn her skin. Once shes out, she looks at the kid sleeping on her couch. Honestly, she didnt remember much of last night. She was positive she had a concussion, and on top of that she got high, and little tipsy. She heads to the kitchen, pots and pans clattering as she starts making breakfast.
@peter-parker-who
Peter startles awake, looking around thinking he was back when they lived with one of his aunts boyfriends, half expecting to get yelled at before realizing were he was
She doesnt notice when he wakes up. She assumes hes not allergic to anything shes making. She grabs the eggs from her fridge, and lets out a big yawn.
He takes a few deep breaths, quickly calming down using the methods from books he's ready at the library, quietly making his way towards Yelena
She looks up when she feels his presence. "Sleep good?" She asks, she was already dressed in her uniform, ready for work.
He nods, rubbing whatever sleep is still in his eyes away, "best sleep I've gotten in years"
"Good." She smiles a little. "Im making eggs and bacon, want some?"

Peter was walking after dark, the door of a cafe closing behind him. Aunt May was worsening. The doctors kept talking about experimental treatments, but they could barely pay the current bills for chemo. Between staying up doing shifts, taking classes, and defending the city, Peter could barely sleep. When he could sleep, it was in the uncomfortable hospital chairs. This was too much for a fifteen year old. Uncle Ben normally would be helping but a dead man can't help from the grave. But hey, you do what you have to do, right? Anyways, Peter takes a sip from his fifth cup of coffee in the last three hours, debating on if taking a hit of his joints will help him relax when he bumps into someone. “Shit, I’m sorry. I wasn’t looking.”

She's checking behind her to see if shes being followed before she runs into him. "Shit..." She mumbles, and turns around to look at the boy. "Its alright. Just be careful." She starts to walk again, in a rush, but doesn't even turn around when she gets a look at his eyes. He looks tired. She knew that feeling more than anything. Quickly, she shoves bloody hands into her pockets before speaking again. "Jesus kid."
"sorry, I wasn't looking" A bag full of some pills and joints falls out of his backpack, but the kid doesn't notice that
"Its fine. She shrugs and shakes her head then her eyes dart down to the bag. You can be a good person, or you can be selfish.
She points down at the bag. "You dropped your... kaboozie." She shoves her hands back in her pockets.
"shit, thanks"
the kid quickly darts to put it away
"Having a bad night?" She tilts her head, voice softer.
"yeah... you could say that" the kid shrugs his bag back on
"Need some company?" She asks, looking the boy up and down. He didnt look like a threat, but she wanted to be ready. "Ive had a bad night too..."
"that, that would be really nice"
"How far do you live?" She huffs and looks around. "I cant walk too far, my shin is br-" she takes another huff of a breath and looks back at him. "Behaving... not nice."
"uh, depends on where I can sleep tonight and which places can turn a blind eye"
"Okkayyyy so in other words." She takes her right hand from her pocket and makes a gesture. "I live down the street." She starts walking, a limp in her step. Occasionally, she hisses in pain. "Whats your name?"
The kid nods, just following behind her, "Peter"
"I'mmm... Yelena." She drags out the response, debating telling him her real name. When they reach the house, she walks up to the front door, and tries the knob. Its locked, she sighs. Its not the best house in new York, but she got around with it. Her pet dog starts barking behind the fence.
Peter jumps at the sound, quickly looking around the area, 'could be worse' he thought to himself, remembering when he had to sleep in a river once
"Fuck-" She mumbles, then steps sideways, and hits the glass window of of her door, shattering it with her elbow. "Forgot my keys at work." She tells him, and steps aside with the door open, offering him to come inside.
Peter quickly follows behind her, not wanting her to change her mind
She shuts the door behind her and steps out of her shoes at the front door immediately, the glass had shattered on her mat so she was careful not to step on any. "Theres pizza in the fridge." She walks quickly, going down a hallway. She needed to change out of her uniform as soon as possible.
Peter quietly goes to the kitchen, warming up two slices. One for him and one for her.
She comes back in after a few minutes. Her hair down, her mascara barely wipes off, it was only really messier, and shes switched into a loose gray sweater and black sweats.
She goes to the fridge and takes out two beers. If the kid didnt want one, she'd just have both. She heads to the couch and turns on the TV.
The kid stays eating on the floor as to make more of a mess, maybe she wont kick him out?
She reaches over and grabs her pizza, offering Peter the beer. "How old are you?"
Peter gratefully takes it and has a sip before saying, "turning sixteen later this year" Peter mentally prepares for the yelling that normally happens around this time
Instead of yelling, she lets out a little chuckle. "I think I tried heroin around that time. "She takes a big drink of her bottle. "Where are your parents?"
Peter smiles, taking another sip before saying, "dead, died when I was six. I barely remember them."
"Mine are unnamed and unknown." She sighs, and bites her pizza.
"it's better not knowing them than knowing them and having them be taken away from you"
"Yea usually that situation would be bad." She shrugs, and eats the second bite of her pizza, shoving most of it in her mouth. She would finish it in three bites. "But mine literally gave me to a slave faction."
"Mine left me with my aunt and uncle and died in a plane crash." Peter stays quiet for a bit, "yours sound worse"
"Yea..." she chuckles. "Maybe just a little." She sniffles and gobbles the rest of her pizza. "Got any siblings?"
He shakes his head, "im the only kid, but my aunt did have a box of stuff from my mom, I went looking inside and I saw an ultrasound years after I was born. Which means I was going to have one"
"Oh... well." She sips her beer. "Id rather had known mine than not. I think you win that part."
"yeah, I probably do" He mimics her and downs half of his, used to drinking it after doing it for months now
"So what did you have in that little bag of yours?" She nods towards his bag
"uh, a suit, meds, joints, and a small knife that I took from someone"
"You can have the rest of the pizza if you let me have a joint." She offers quickly. "I know theres like a big price difference, but I killed a guy for that pizza so I think me risking my life makes it more expensive."
Peter thinks for a bit. the joints don't mean much to him, it's the medication for his aunt that does. besides he can always corner a dealer as Spiderman to give him his stash so it doesn't matter anyways. He doesnt think twice before handing her three, "sometimes it takes a while for it to kick in. I also have some edibles and what not."
"Well if the joint doesn’t work in 15 I'll be bugging you again." She reaches into the strap of her bra and pulls out a lighter. "Do you need the lighter?"
"yes please, I lost my last one on a roof top somewhere"
"Well I found this one on a rooftop somewhere, so if its yours, you can keep it." She lights her joint and hands him the lighter.
He lights his before examining the light. He looks at it shaking his head, "different brand"
"Well you can still keep it." She shrugs, and picks up the TV remote. "What do you want go watch? Ill fall asleep probably."
He nods, quickly stashing it in his bag, "not sure, haven't watched tv in ages. unless you count the time where I watched it from someones window"
"Let's watch Finding Nemo. You know that one?" She clicks through the TV to the movie.
"yeah, I think so" he carefully shuffles slightly closer to her, this being the nicest someone has been besides the people at the hospital
"Its good." She turns the movie on and stands up, walking to the fridge, she wanted more food. "Its about a disabled kid who goes missing after his mom gets bambi'd." She burps a little, grabbing a rotisserie chicken. "An even more disabled woman has to help him."
"and this is a kid show? huh, seems like a good movie to traumatize kids."
"God to think this could be traumatizing for some kids?" She grabs some napkins, and walks back over to the couch. "I love to see the look on their faces when I tell them my story."
"they'd probably think you inspired the movie at some point then"
She plops back down onto the couch, and takes some of the chicken out, holding it on the napkin. "You do this every night?"
"befriend strangers to let me in their houses? no. Sleep on the streets because all the money goes toward my aunt in the hospital? yes." Peter takes it, alternating between eating it and smoking the joint
"What do you perfer?" She wonders, taking a sip of beer.
"not being on the streets. The amount of times I've had to run from the police is too much for me to count at this point"
"Well I assumed people would call the police on you shelter or not." She shrugs. "Youre 15. No worried grandmas?"
"sometimes." Peter shakes his head, "its just me and my aunt, and she's in the hospital"
"Well its just me here." She looks towards the TV. "If you ever need a friend, you can stop by."

"Behaving... not nice."
