The sudden movement sends him skittering back a few steps as the stranger lowered himself. Well, as fast as he could move with an injured paw. Ears perk forwards inquisitively- what was he doing? Something more caught his eye though; and his nose. Food! He was so hungry. 

Slowly Mason crept forward, inch by inch, little by little. He kept low to the ground until he could reach the sandwich, before taking it between his jaws and limping back a few feet. He was used to scarfing down his meals, few and far between; since if he didn’t so quickly someone else would come along and take it. When he was done he perked up, curious as to if he had more.

clancy smiles when what he thinks is a dog takes the sandwich and eats it. he didn’t mind giving the animal his food before he left he made sure he ate more than enough. the only thing he has left if a few pieces of chicken in a small baggie but he honestly doesn’t know if he wants to give the animal some. 

the rebel crouches down and holds out his hand slowly in the direction of the animal, just to see if he’d come a little closer.

A playful growl leaves his lips as he slid up to his lover, grabs him by the hips just for a moment. Gotta assert that dominance somehow, even in a playful way— (especially since Clancy declared him alpha of their little ‘pack’”. At least he doesn’t take a small eternity this time, and he smiles down at him, visibly blushing at the compliment thrown his way. “Oh stop, you’re the cute one,” he says, taking his hand. “Where do you feel like tonight?”

he turns his head and smiles slyly at his lover, standing up straighter when his hips are grabbed. clancy pushes his foot into his boot before leaning back into his boyfriend's touch and chuckling. the rebel is honestly very excited to be going out for the night with the other, they both are usually somewhat tired when they get home but when mason offered to take him out clancy jumped at the chance to sit down and have a meal with him.

There’s a grin on his lips of course. Mason would never intentionally be mean to the other, but he loved to tease the brunette any chance he got. While he waited, the werewolf took a seat on the couch. It wasn’t much longer until he heard a familiar voice and looked up, rising to his feet again as he smiled. “Looks cute as always, sweetheart.”

clancy makes a face at mason and pushes him gently before slipping past him to lean down and pull on his boots. usually, he does take forever to fix himself up but since his hair is still growing back after his cut it a little it doesn’t take him as long. the rebel turns and smiles at the compliment and moves closer to his partner, stand on his toes and kisses his cheek.

    He’s lost count of how long he’s been here. Laying low, sticking to the shadows. It was no easy feat for a wolf of his size- and while his color may pass off as some sort of coyote, he still had the bulkiness and the stature of it’s much larger cousin. Somewhere under his fur, ribs and hips jut out. The creature looks plain awful, emaciated, and its only under the light of the moon that he’s able to look for something to survive off of— unfortunately for Mason eating out of the trash can only stave off hunger for so long.

In the dark he can see a figure moving alone. Alone. Generally speaking, he’s not vicious, doesn’t want to attack humans. He’d learned as an adolescent that that only spelled trouble, and pain. However, he’s HUNGRY, and he made his way over to the man with an obvious limp, before stopping a few yards away as he realized the human is approaching him back.

         A soft growl rumbles in the animal’s throat. Lips curl into bared teeth as his yellow eyes gleam warningly. He’s not aggressive, only defensive and scared; shown by the fluffy tail tucked worriedly between his legs.

clancy lowers himself to the ground and looks at the animal with wonder in his eyes even though it let out a growl that seemed defensive. it’s amazing to see such an interesting creature right in front of him and he just had to write this down. slowly, he pulls out a pencil and notebook from his bag and writes down a description of the animal, including the collar he notices around it’s neck before shoving it back in and pulling out the last half of the sandwich he has carried with him. 

the dog looked weak and clancy couldn’t bear to see the poor thing like this and he felt like he had t do something so, he places the sandwich down in front of him and scoots back, watching to see if he will take it.

❝ hey, that's for you. you seem hungry so have the last of my sandwich..... i won’t hurt you, see? ❞

he holds up his hand as if the dog could even understand what he’s saying and watches quietly.
