really loved that fanfic and just let the inspiration take over. Especially when it came to designing Dream in her Fae form

I took some creative liberties because, in fantasy, there's a variety to experiment with in costumes and armor, and that's what I like to do :3

I haven't drawn much of a skeleton in a while. I might get more sketches done and post them here, since I do fan art for other fandoms on my other social media platforms

OH. OH MY GOD. THIS IS AMAZING???

I LOVE how you drew dream's fae form on the left!! the way the fabric has both cool and warm undertones, it looks iridescent! I love the way the fabric is draped over him, cascading down and not leaving a lot to the imagination (because, what's a fae to do? feel shame? hah. never in their immortal lifetime). HIS POINTED EARS. I see you fae Dream! I love how you can see the magic around him represented by as markings around him since he's in 100% control of the situation. god. and the way they concentrate around his head and hair!!! I love the callbacks to og dream too, the circlet and belt worked so well into the design! he's radiating so much power omg I love him and am slightly scared of him.

DREAM'S COY SMILE saying "will you listen if it comes from a face like yours" !!!! the edge of mocking there !!! AND THEN HIS OUTSTRETCHED HAND IN THE NEXT PANEL WITH THE BARRIER BETWEEN WORLDS A SHIMMERING GOLD. his face, a mixture between coaxing and also satisfied !! because he's already won!!

the way you shade dream's ecto makes me want to eat it. not in a nsfw way, genuinely digest it because it looks so delicious, exactly like honey. or gelatin. AND HIS EYES. omfg. his inhuman nature peeks through for just a moment (he lowkey reminds me of swapdream!dream's eyes) and the way the golden rivulets cascade out his eyes... sob. he's so beautiful. also love the detail of his magic concentrating around him as he alters the shape of the world around them... <3

obligatory cross mention; so many crosses in his armour! so many layers, like him putting him walls between himself and everyone else, his distrusting gaze, so clearly on guard... then in the top right corner we see him nude, face flushed and tied up... GOD. LOOK AT HIM. also I see where dream's magic is brushing against.... lmao. it's so tender, like some kind of sweet horror. oh my goodness.

Thank you!!! It really makes me so so SO happy that you liked it. I had my doubts because at some point I wasn't convinced and didn't feel like publishing them.

haha I started drawing with Dream's Fae form because that image had formed in my head when I read it. Since it was a quick sketch back then, I couldn't capture it as I imagined. And yes, the clothing that barely hides anything also serves as a form of manipulation for weak-minded mortals. The moment where you described Dream's supernatural beauty, along with Cross's slight hesitation at it, made me think that with that appearance, it can be easy to fool any unsuspecting fool. And they take advantage, simply because it's fun to watch them lose their minds.

Would you be surprised to know that I had A LOT of trouble capturing the expression I wanted on Dream? It was complicated because none of the expressions I made felt like they fit the scene you wrote. After a lot of trying, I was satisfied with those faces, and I'm so glad you noticed. Thanks for complimenting the ecto-body result! It was my first time drawing that, haha. It felt weird because I didn't know how to do it, so I made it shiny and slightly translucent. Describing it as jelly? It hadn't occurred to me, but now I'm hungry. The thing with his eyes was that I tried to represent that he's no longer trying to suppress his power, and since they were no longer in the earthly dimension, he didn't mind breaking that shape a little. Not entirely complete, though, because otherwise, Cross would go crazy. Note on the golden tears: I didn't understand that part very well in the fanfic. I don't know if it was because of my cheap Google Translate or not, but I only managed to understand that much, haha.

Cross, Cross, Crossy… I focused so much on Dream that when I realized it, I thought, "Wait a minute, this was a Cream story, where's Cross?" so... I had to improvise slightly with Crossy. I was going to do more sketches of their supernatural intimate encounter, BUT… uhmmm I have no excuses lmao Maybe I'll try again in the future.

And again, thank you for taking the time to bring you such a beautiful story. I swear each and every one of your Fae fanfics inspires me, and I've wanted to draw something for you for a looooong time, but something always comes up that takes away my time. I promise it won't be the last time I bring you fanart :3
