students were in a bustle. pheromones were wildly mingling as hormones made people rile up in corners and on their ends. boys and girls stood in groups, double checking their appearances while others had to take on the unfortunate role of being the one to reassure them every other second. haeryung twirled a lock around her finger while sighing wistfully as she stood at her assigned booth. it wasn’t anything abnormal or special, other girls were participating too ( and so she had received booth 4 ). to be fair it had been a bet between her and a couple of roommates, so she idly, slightly restlessly, stood at her spot and waited for someone to approach,

and just as she wondered just how chaotic the day could get, someone happened to catch her attention. “what are you doing here?”

maybe if yeri had been less of a romantic, she would have drawn a more logical conclusion for the atmosphere, explainable by science and such of its likes. but that was not the case, as yeri was as hopeless as a romantic could get, and she often saw the world through rose tinted glasses. 

“me? i’m here for the legendary chocolate fountain that i kept on hearing about in the hallways.” she pointed towards the massive structure in the center of the great hall, currently swarmed by a crowd of students each hoping to get a taste of the sweet brown liquid. “somehow along the way i got separated from my group of friends i came here with, but now that i found you everything is all right!” she beamed up at the older girl, youthful innocence radiating off of her in waves. “but unni--” she tilted her head at the sign on the booth, eyes growing rounder once she had read its contents. “what are you doing here?”

Eden loves cats. He loves fluffy things, cute animals, and the list is quite long contrary to what one may assume while looking at his slanted sharp eyes. He also owns one. A kitten Bombay cat, female, a few months old only and such pretty golden eyes he can’t help but allow her to get away with anything.

He doesn’t own Silke, to speak in correct terms. More like someone gave her to him when it was decided he would move to London. They haven’t known each other for long, but they have extraordinary chemistry. Silke took to him quickly and whined so much while he was preparing his suitcases Eden decided to take her with him to Hogwarts.

So yeah, Eden really loved his cat. But right this moment, he absolutely hated her. Why? Because she had suddenly decided to take a stroll on school grounds and he had spend hours looking for her to finally find her on the fucking balcony of the top tower. He did not dread heights. And rain did not bother him either. On the other hand, he resented and despised the clap of thunder, the loud roaring following strikes and flashes of lightning every now and then during storms.

As a result, he was now reduced to a pale shaking mess, bunddling himself in a corner and keeping his eyes closed, Silke pressed close against his chest.

Darn it. He couldn’t even cover his ears since he was holding the frightened kitten in his hands.

the air hissed and crackled with lingering static, causing a few strands of her hair to frizz up on their own. she took a deep breath, and grimaced when the acrid stench of something burning filled her lungs. being this high up wasn’t good. especially in a storm as bad as this one. she glanced at the scenery under her with a troubled expression. everything outside was soaked to the bone. even the great lake looked like it was struggling to keep from over-flooding. yeri tore her eyes away and bit her lips in worry. she should probably head back to the common rooms. the lightning was becoming more frequent and less few and far between. what if a stray bolt happened to hit the tower she was in? 

she made a move to turn back but stopped herself just before taking the first step. a part of her conscience was tugging at her, pulling at her to stay. yeri scanned the dark room. for some reason, she couldn’t shake off the feeling that she was not alone.

“...hello?” she tried again, rocking back and forth on her heels. “is anybody in here...?” 

there was only silence and the deafening sound of rain. 

when yeri finally made up her mind that she was just paranoid, and that it would do her much good to be on her way before someone comes looking for her, a small noise broke her stream of thought. it certainly wasn’t human. humans don’t mewl like that. that only ones that do are...

“cats?” she breathed in surprise, now approaching the darkness with more bravery than before. her breath caught in her throat as she began to see the outline of a figure, much too big to be what she had just heard. 

two successive bolts of lightning cast the room with yellow light, giving her a split second to clearly see what was in front of her. 

it was a boy. correction. a boy with a cat. 

thunder boomed twice, both times causing the tower walls to vibrate with a force greater than the last. 

her hands flew up to her mouth in shock. “who are you? are you okay? are you hurt anywhere? why are you up here?”

the ancient stone stairways echoed with the dull cracks of scuffed mary janes rapidly hitting the floor, the owner of such shoes now panting slightly from the excursion. she bounded up the steps to the lookout tower two at a time, hands flapping madly in panic before deciding be useful and hitch up her robes so that they wouldn’t obstruct her stride. outside, the rain pounded relentlessly against the tower walls, its muffled roar slowly growing into a crescendo accented every so often by the odd roll of thunder. a small cry passed through her lips at the thought of what it was doing to her potions homework. her potions homework that she had left sitting outside on the balcony in a moment of sheer stupidity.

she cursed her forgetfulness and quickened her pace. 

finally reaching the top of the spiraling staircase, she threw open the wooden doors and bolted inside, eyes immediately going towards the last place she had put her assignment.. only to be met with the sight of wet ink forming running black rivers on the remains of her waterlogged paper. her heart sunk low in her chest. 

“well there goes five hours of my hard work,” she commented mournfully, facial features crumpling into that of resignation. “i guess i’ll have to copy it all over again” she pinched the bridge of her nose. “--by hand.” just the mere thought of it was enough to make her cringe. 

yeri turned around to head back to the common rooms when a slight movement by the tables caught her eye. she turned towards it, and craned her neck to get a better look at the hidden figure. a clap of thunder boomed outside, illuminating the dark room and making yeri jump. 

“uh... is anyone there?”

hello hello hello! it is your friendly neighborhood mun, jenn! im so so excited to be a part of this rph, but because its been a while since ive roleplayed in a harry potter verse i might make a few mistakes here and there. if you ever see something wrong or out of please please let me know so i can fix it!! as for my little muse here her name is yeri and basically she’s a sweet bundle of joy and enthusiasm who just wants to be your friend. here are a few fun facts abt her

has two very muggle parents living back home in east yorkshire 

has an extremely hairy cat that looks like a ball of wool. her name is nessie. 

also has an owl named pip who thinks he’s much bigger than he actually is 

her favorite class is care of magical creatures and is often times seen helping the professor during her spare time

generally a very open-minded, mellow person unless you happen to push her buttons and fire up her temper ( which is admittedly rare ) 

has a slight obsession with honeydukes ice mice 

may or may not accept bribes if in the currency mentioned above

 i don’t have a plots page up yet, but im always always open to plotting at any given time. that being said, if you’re interested in me popping by your inbox like this post and i’ll be on my way!
