Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by quietly remembering that Native Americans sent more aid to Ireland during the famine than Britain or the US.
specifically, it was the Choctaw nation that sent aid to the Irish during the famine
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse:
Audible
Blue Apron
Squarespace
Casper Mattresses
audible: war. audible’s has a marketing strategy that consists of bragging how their audiobooks are well-funded and professional in comparison to the scrappy string-and-ductape production they’re advertising on. that’s a power move if i ever saw one.
casper mattresses: famine. outrageous luxury. exorbitant prices. creating a desire of material product for listeners that they want but will never have use of.
blue apron: pestilence. the obvious choice for blue apron would be famine, but it’s not - blue apron is a silicon valley startup, has all the hallmarks of a lifestyle convenience (food delivery) but with a Innovative Twist added that actually still makes you do the same amount of work, but pay more for it (delivering raw products that you cook yourself). like what fucking service is that. it’s the pestilence of the new age.
squarespace: death. the one constant a podcast has is its squarespace webpage. those who have escaped it should be hailed as legends.
