@yewphoric
god i'm so sad that all of the forsworn/reachfolk camps are hostile in skyrim
i’m still thinking about this. WHY couldn’t they have worked like orc strongholds!!! let me do something for them and befriend them!! i want to do quests for them!!
why would you reduce the one indigenous human group to just mindless enemies akin to bandits, and not only that but also force me to kill them during the main quest to get into sky haven temple. I can’t reason with them?? I can’t work something out?? talk to them at all???
*standing in a super loud and crowded party filled with talented friends who overfeed me* …tesblr died?
Tbh I shouldn’t joke because I know there are folks in tesblr who are struggling to find an “in” or to make friends. I will shout myself blue in the face that there is someone here who cares about your ocs, or will care as soon as said oc crosses their dash and someone goes “oh? 👀 what’s your lore?”
At the same time, coming into a place buzzing with activity and declaring it dead is just…odd. Dead for what? I’m standing right here. All my current friends and moots are standing with me, as well as the lovely folks I just haven’t had the chance to meet yet.
I’ve been in fandom a long time. I know the difference between someone who’s genuinely looking for community and someone who is only looking for an audience. I guess any space can look dead if it isn’t oriented to revolve around yourself.
Btw the cheat code I discovered for making friends in tesblr:
Reblog peoples’ stuff. Engage/interact with genuine interest with their stuff. Read their fics. Enjoy their stories. Encourage other peoples’ creativity.
But also please put your stuff out there!!! Because the returns are so absolutely worth investing/becoming invested in the community. Not everyone will bite, and that’s ok! All we really need to survive in this world anyway is 5 Sickos™ who’ll chew the walls over your ocs and headcanons lol
skyrim sights and my little bosmer gwen'agoth
When there's a gala there's celebrities, and Faenil is there too. The tall sparkly mage is certainly a sight to behold... and smell. Luckily Faenil arrived fashionably late, because nobody's brave enough to tell them the smoke is giving everyone a headache - they're too busy lamenting about the "baby mammoth ivory" cigarette holder turning out to be too small!
Drawing this was a bit of a last minute decision, but I really wanted to join the @tes-gala despite everything so I drew Faenil as The Mage. I'm exploring more of a comic-book feel since I've been thinking about the webcomic fic a lot again lately, and I do like this end result... I spent most of my time figuring out the outfit though, Faenil needs to be slaying as always. My subtle idea with the jewelry was that they're wearing soul gem shards.
turning a big dial labeled "victim" on one end and "perpetrator" on the other back and forth and constantly looking back at the audience for approval
when people mention my OCs by name
???????????????
what if our ocs were friends. is that okay . u can kill me if not
Posting ocs is so embarrassing. Here's my stupid loser I guess. You can kill me if you want
As a "quick exercise" I tried to remake that one Faenil portrait from last year, it was one of the first drawings I made of them. You can tell within this time I've been slowly turning this elf into a raisin. It's like looking at that one Saving Private Ryan aging meme...
It's hard to look back at my old art and not immediately bash it, I was proud of it back then and I still want to be. But I will say in the most positive way that it's crazy to see how this character evolved. I want Faenil to look appropriately mature. And while I'm still figuring out the right grossness to elegance ratio, back then I wasn't sure yet how to draw that altmer face shape properly, and honestly I was still figuring out the basics of human face anatomy to begin with. But I think I've gotten the hang of it now.
Happy Valentine's to them 👏
Reblog if it’s okay for people to inbox you questions, headcanon, theories, anything about your Blorbo

Oohooo, "As the Stars Burn?" 👀
Ask Game
My singular non-TES fic! As the Stars Burn is a canon-divergent Star Wars fic starting just before Phantom Menace with the general premise of "what if there was another Jedi in the main cast whose master had visions?" that will domino-effect into Palpatine's defeat at the end of the Clone Wars. It follows an OC Jedi named Arist'ai Khrisafen (who is an original species based on one of the ones in my original fiction stuff) who is Very Used To being sent to places with basically no context and has picked up some rather fae-like mannerisms from their master. Afaik, it's supposed to be Arist'ai/Obi-Wan(/Satine?), but I think I'd have to rewatch at least TPM to get the vibes back.
The title is taken from a non-existent song that contains the lines "as the stars burn gold and blue / I'll love you like I'll lose you"
Arist’ai touched one clawed finger to the holocron crystal dangling from one pointed ear with a silent sigh. They liked Naboo, but like every other time before, they wished Master Sindyra could have been more clear about what they were supposed to do. Once they’d translated the code she used, the notes tended to be cryptic at best. ‘Two halves un-split’...so far their only guess was that they needed to get an audience with the leader of the Gungans and with Queen Amidala of Naboo’s more humanoid population; two groups that had been steadfastly ignoring each other for the past several decades. At least they enjoyed a good swim, and the capital city of the Gungans was dazzling beneath the marshes. The lights shone like tiny suns in the darkness of the water, making the bubbles that surrounded their platforms shimmer. Hands up and fingers spread to make it clear they were keeping away from the saber at their belt, Arist’ai used a trickle of the Force to activate the translator embedded in the half-mask they’d worn for this very purpose. They couldn’t understand the Gungan language well enough on their own, and they slightly lamented they didn’t have time to learn it. They bowed their head toward the guards that had come rushing to meet them, smiling close-lipped. “I come in peace, with a proposal of the same for Boss Nass.” A moment passed as the translator shifted their words into the closest equivalent, the guards watching them narrow-eyed and with spears raised. When silence fell the captain lowered his spear a fragment.
i like it when mages get like nosebleeds and migraines from pushing themselves too far with magic. i think this is happening to miraak all the time post-apocrypha bc he’s grasping for a power level he no longer possesses
