Guys, one day we’re gunna wake up and our favourite Rock Legends will be gone. And it’ll feel awful, but we’ll be at peace because they lived a long life full of accomplishments.

We’ll wake up one day, and see an article that Paul or Ringo were found in their homes in Hollywood or in a hotel in New York.

We’ll hear on the radio that Robert Plant, or Jimmy, Or John Paul Jones have passed away peacefully.

One day, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon will be memories. Their instagrams will become inactive, but still alive and well in our hearts.

And people can say “you didn’t know them, it’s not that big of a deal” but the music they created and how it touched us is a big deal.

Don’t let anyone tell you that it’s not okay to cry over the men and women who sang to you while you cried alone in the dark. Their voices carried us all through some really sad and awful times in our lives, their music is why we roll down our windows during road trips and sing to the high heavens, and when you think about singing in the shower or karaoke or parties with family or friends, you think of them! And it’s okay to feel an attachment to the people who brought you comfort through their music, it’s okay to mourn an artist who changed and altered your mood or perceptive of the world. Music is the most powerful thing and brings people together, and it’s okay to thank the people who helped you indirectly through their art and music.

the duality of classic rock fandom is weird because we see a photo from the 70s and we’re like “I wanna do coke off his thighs naked in a tour bus” and then we see a current photo of him with his grandkids at the local library and be like “I hope he brought his jacket out today, and nice to see little tommy and jenna”
