My personal PSA for the Yogdrama

Is this understood by everybody yet? 

The character of Sjin, the farmer, magic cop and spaceman is NOT Paul Skyes.

The character of Xephos, the space alien(?), hero and druid is NOT Lewis Brindley.

The character of Turps, the dirt farmer (  to my knowledge he was literally only in Dirt Quest I have nothing else to work with ) is NOT Mark Turpin.

The same applies to all other Yogs too, Nano is NOT Kim, Lalna is NOT Duncan, Lomadia is NOT Hannah Ect.

I enjoy the CHARACTERS of Sjin, Xephos and Turps. I do NOT condone any actions regarding the current Yogdrama, but hope we can all understand that drawing THESE CHARACTERS is not drawing the REAL PEOPLE.

Seconded this with any fanfics I write in the future. I would never consider the characters. I write to in any way be a realistic or accurate portrayal of the people themselves and I would not want anyone to think of them as such.

I’m open to any asks on the matter but whilst all this yogs drama is going on I wanted to make sure everyone knows that in no way do my works mean disrespect against real victims of predators.

pt. 2 i guess. idk if you follow hannah’s insta, but she’s been doing a lot of plant stuff lately, so i can totally see her as a small farmer or herbologist and the hats might buy herbs from her and she’s kinda suspicious they’re up to no good.

You are the BEST btw. Hannah was one of those people that I wasn’t sure where to fit in and that’s such a good idea! In my head cannon she’s a sort of mystical figure and she’s definitely level headed enough to be suspicious of anyone posing a threat to her!

re: yogfic, are you gonna base it off of like their irl personalities or their minecraft characters or a mixture? bc trott’s skin is a (walrus) doctor, right? and smith is in that fancy suit and did magic stuff in cornerstone, so i can totally see them selling “medicine” and doing like alchemy on the side in victorian britain, and depensing on how realistic vs magical you’re making it, ross could be a werewolf that they try to cure and then befriend. idk just some thoughts !! i’m excited !

So, I like to do a mixture! I think the roles they tend to fit themselves into in minecraft (such as Trott being the technical doctor guy and smith being a chaotic explosives enthusiast) are heavily used in my characterisation BUT I don’t take them literally. So, Trott will be the sensible (ish) intelligent one, but without him being an actual walrus.

The counterfeit medicine/alchemy idea is hilarious to me, I can totally picture them selling snake oil on cobbled streets!

And finally, you’re thinking the same as me with the werewolf idea. I was planning on making sips, Trott and Smith vampires whilst Ross is a werewolf. I can’t resist the extra opportunities for shenanigans 😂

Okay, SO.

About two weeks ago I made a text post about whether or not people would read a hat films fanfic, and the response was very positive!

I’m actually thinking of including a bunch of members of the yogscast in it, and it’s going to be set in Victorian Britain -

So if there’s anyone you desperately want included, or you have an idea of a Victorian style job or role for any yoga member, let me know! I’m in the early stages of writing so I’m really just asking for suggestions, haha. You can reply to this or send me an ask, I’ll see it either way!
