Just a little foreground about this trip, it took about a year and a half to prepare for this 6-day adventure and having the honour to plan the itinerary was just the cherry on top of everything (with this being my first ever international trip). It was exciting to say the least! Bangkok is the mecca of wholesale shopping after all.
Fast forward to September 13, we left the house around 2:00am since we needed to check-in early since our flight was scheduled to depart around 6:55am. Better early than late, amirite? So we’ve got check-in down now we just have to kill time which was so excruciating since I was already so anxious to leave.....Zzzzzzz.
When the time finally came, I said my goodbyes to Manila for a bit and literally travelled 3 butt-hurting hours to see the beauty of the land of Pad Thai (fave) - Bangkok, Thailand. Check out to see the highlights of my trip here:
THIS IS HEAVEN RIGHT HERE! When you visit Thailand make sure you try this particular Milk Tea(Char Tra Mue?) place. We bought this one at the airport but it has other branches in most of the train stations and some malls. It retails for about 60 Baht then again if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, the milk tea in 7/11 is surprisingly good as well. Craving for it right now actually :(
Grand Palace at Phra Nakhon, Bangkok, Thailand
Wat Pho at Pranakorn District, Bangkok, Thailand
Probably one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever eaten in my life. I will come back for you, Thai Fresh Spring Rolls <3
Nothing beats this!
Bang Pa-in Grand Summer Palace, Ayyuthaya District
Safari World, Bangkok
Chatuchak Weekend Market
Overall, my first international trip was very fruitful and memorable. I’ve gotten to know more about the country’s culture and temples and experiencing, tasting a lot of their flavorful (beyond delicious) dishes - better be prepared for spicyness since it is very abundant in this place. Mild= very spicy.
This place has truly been one for the books, hoping to be back very soon. Next time around, I will be on the hunt for the original Sriracha haha! Kop Kun Kha, Bangkok and til my next adventure!
