Hello! I'm wondering, how to add this white border around objects on a picture (like you did on your irl yogs icons)? :)

The method I use is probably overly complicated but it’s easy if you know a bit about masking in photoshop. I’m terrible at explaining though so I apologize in advance!

Basically what I do is with the pen tool I go around the person to outline them.

Then I make the outline I just did a selection, make a new layer and fill the selection with white on the new layer.

Next I deselect everything, select the outline of the person and add a layer mask to the new layer filled with white. The layer mask automatically fills everything not selected with black so that it’s hidden.

And that’s how I make the white border. If you’re confused by that explanation I also made a video which I hope might be easier to understand.
