Quinn stepped ahead of her and slowly walked ahead, tying to not leave her behind. “You want to take my car or yours?”
Kailee followed closely behind the boy. “If we take your car, you’re not going to kidnap me, are you?” She asked, jokingly.

Quinn’s expression changed into one of confusion and if it weren’t for the cornere of her mouth twitching it would have stayed that way. “Mhm, so much for being up for anything” he said with a laugh
“Kidding! Italian is fine.” She chuckled. Once the elevator dinged and the doors opened she headed out. “Lead the way.” She gestured toward the outside.”

Quinn pressed the. down button and leaned back into the elevator wall. “Italian it is then” he said casually and put his hands in his pockets
“Oh.... except for that.” She tried to say with a straight face as to not give off the fact that she was joking. The corners of her lips curved up slightly but she hoped he hadn’t caught that.

“that all depends on what you’re in the mood for. Theres a nice burger joint across the street, or an authentic italian place downtown.”
“I’m up for whatever you want. I’m not overly picky.” She told the boy as she got in the open elevator.

Quinn pulled the first shirt. he. could reach oit. of the box he had brought. up and switch his dirty shirt. for the faded batman tshirt. “Ready!?” he said with a chipper tone in his voice as he stepped out of the room
“Yep, just waiting for you.” Kailee smiled at the boy before heading out of the apartment. “So any idea as to where you want to go?” She asked.

“Well considering. I’m pretty confident in my abilities to keep a. man. I’m. sure that won’t. be. an issue” he smiled slyly. “Give me five and I’ll. be ready to go.” he said, wanting to get out of his coffee stained shirt as soon as possible.
“That’s good, then we won’t have any problems.” She finished with a chuckle. “Alrighty. I’ll just be waiting out here.” Kailee took a seat on the couch, pulled out her phone and scrolled through instagram while waiting for the boy to be ready.

“Pardon me but I was very cool in high school. The theater club always gave me the best spot at the lunch table.” He said with false indignation. “I’m guessing you were miss popularity in high school as well?:” He said in a friendly tone but genuine curiosity. Kailee seemed like someone who probably sat with the “real cool kids” in high school. She had the looks and from what he had seen so far the personality for it. “Definitely, it’ll be fun.” Especially if she’s not going to get weird about the guy thing, Quinn thought to himself. “Okay um , are you ready to head out now or do you need a few minutes?”
"Oh yes, I'm sure they did." She chuckled. "I might have been..." Truth was Kailee had started school as the loser kid that everyone bullied but by high school she was at the top. "Sure will as long as you don't mind me trying to move in on your man." She joked. "I'm good. Do you need a few minutes? We don't have a powder room but the bathrooms right there." She nudged his arm gently and added a wink.

“A flower shop? That’s cute. A tutor as well? Aspiring teacher or just helping out?” She asked. “Not at all. I’m an art teacher. To little kids at the moment but maybe in a high school one day. But that’s more than you wanted to know so anyway, I hope this is enough.” She gestured toward the room.
“Thanks….I think. You meant cute in a nice way right?” He raised an eyebrow while he laughed and rubbed the back of his neck. “Yeah, something like that. I was’t really interested in going down the teaching rout till I started helping out but now I think its something I’d really like to do. Art though? That’s pretty impressive have you been doing it for long?” He looked around the room “More than enough, thanks”
“Sure. I just didn’t peg you for the type to be a florist.” She shrugged. “That’s really cool. It’s nice that you found something you like.” She gave him a small smile. “I’ve been painting my whole life. I’ve been doing classes with kids for about a year.” Kailee told him. “Great.”
“ I get that a lot” quinn chuckled. He knew he didn’t give of the flower boy vibe but if he was honest he loved the reactions people had when he told them. “I think so…hopefully it pans out well.Thats amazing, I’m sure you’re a great teacher”
“I bet. You’re definitely not what I’d expect walking into a flower shop but I think that’s pretty cool. Most men would be afraid to do a job like that.” She smiled at the boy, impressed by it. “Thanks, I hope so too. I mean since the kids are so young it’s more arts and crafts activities than actually teaching but hey, it’s fine either way.”
“Thank you. It’s actually pretty funny to see peoples faces when I’m the one that greets them, but honestly I think more guys should try it, there’s dirt, and pretty girls walking in every now and them, its not too bad’ he joked, his arms shaking slightly as he laughed. “Even so, most times kids remember the stuff like crafts, and you’re opening up doors for them to try their hands at other art things when they get older”
“That’s true. Guys are always looking for new ways to meet girls right? How many numbers have you got while working there?” She giggled. “I guess you’re right.”
“Well so far….two” he laughed “ But um…they were both to check up on big orders so I don’t think they count ” he laughed. “But hey that can change.”
“Damn, you gotta try harder. You can get those numbers, I mean look at you.” She teased. “Unless you’re not into girls…” she added on quickly. “Yeah, maybe.”
“Why thank you, but if I try I’ll end up killing my ‘cool’ vibe. I gotta act chill about it.” he was still joking of course, Quinn had a habit of trying a little more than he wanted to let on. “ I’m into girls and…others” he trailed off shyly. “Anyways um, have you eaten yet? I can go out and get us something”
“Cool vibe…? Oh sorry I wasn’t getting getting that. I was getting a little bit of a nerd vibe…” Kailee continued to tease the boy. He was cute and she was starting to feel like living with him wouldn’t be so bad. “So are you bisexual? Asexual? Never mind you don’t know me, I don’t mean to pry you don’t need to answer that. I’m bisexual though. Just in case you were wondering.” She shrugged. “No, I’m starving. Why don’t I come with you?”
"Hey, nerds can be cool!” he said quickly, not denying that he was a nerd. His laugh got a bit louder but he caught himself and stopped. She was less serious than he had thought and was looking forward to being her roommate. “More pansexual, and its okay i don’t mind you asking, it was bound to come up into discussion at some point” he chuckled. “Sure if you’re up for it. We can take my car”
"Mhm, sure... I'm going to guess you weren't one of the 'cool kids' in high school." She chuckled. Kailee thought they might actually have some fun being roommates and she was starting to look forward to hanging out with him more. "Okay, cool. Good to know. We can bond over cute boys and girls." She giggled. "Yeah, sounds good."

She wasn’t overly difficult to live with, she didn’t think. “And don’t touch my food without asking. That’s one thing I hate.”
“Also fair, I was planning on asking you the same thing so I’m glad we can agree on that” he rolled up his sleeves and shoved his hands in his pockets. “We seem to agree so far on the rules but I would like to ad two more,” He shifted from one leg to another. “I’m not sure if you’re a smoker or not but, if you are, I’d appreciate if you didn’t smoke inside? Also…I have a job that requires me to focus and I have a hard time with distractions so, if you don’t mind maybe keeping the volume low at night and not interrupting me if the door is closed I wpuld really appreciate it. ”
“Awesome.” Kailee listened to his additional requests and nodded. “I’m not a smoker so you don’t have to worry about that. Sure, I can do that. What do you do?” She asked, curiously.
"Thank you,” He smiled warmly. “Well, durribg the day I work at a flower shop but at night I help grade papers for a few of the teachers at….” he trailed off remembering he wasn’t really supposed to tell anyone. “I’m a tutor.” He corrected himself. “What about you, what do you do, if you don’t mind me asking”

"Likewise,” he murmured. Quinn made a mental note of everything she was saying trying to keep up. He placed his box on the floor by the door. “Nice, there’s more room than I expected. I have some stuff downstairs still so I’ll probably be making a few trips through here, just don’t mind me. Oh and before i forget” he rolled up the sleeves of his jacket. “Do you have any house rules or requests I should know about?”
"Yeah that's totally fine. We can discuss rules and requests because it's your house too now. But my main ones are clean up after yourself and any friends, and no parties without my consent." She told the boy. If he could manage those two things then she could live with him.
