while I genuinely do appreciate the intent, bc I have nothing against translations (and honestly feel free to translate any of my other works, as long as you cite me as the original author, and send me the link so I can link it in the original work too!)

laughing on the outside is a fic whose setting/read was very specifically constructed in the way that I wrote it: I write in a lot of foreshadowing that is specific to the English language (like subtle comments, or colloquialisms), the translations from Korean that could be be possibly miscommunicated, the dialects that I gave to certain characters that may not transfer over... I do alot of work with character development and universe creation that is dependent on the way things are said/phrased/repeated, that straying from that portrayal would shift the energy of the story... like a translation may happen, but it could linguistically carry a different emotion whose subtle difference impacts the way the story reads and in my mind, LOTO is one of the stories that is defined by subtlety of narration. In that sense, I honestly only trust myself to translate it into a language because it would still do all of the little details that I have written in linguistically justice bc I'm the only one who has the assurance to keep track of allll of them...

Sorry if that was long-winded, this is the only one of my fics to be this language-dependent so I'm particular about it but I'm always up for translation and am so honored that you'd consider my fic for it, so ... sorry about saying no for LOTO but always feel free to use any of my other fics to do so :)
