• ryuu is the youngest daughter to the daimyo of the largest portion of the japanese territories.

• her family has always been very ambitious in nature with regards to promoting tradition and legacy and voldemort's promises seemed to be the perfect opportunity. • she grew up in traditional silks and kimonos with a calligraphy brush in her hand and was expected to learn subservience and how to be a good wife for a future husband. • but instead, she learned english as something more than just political, business-speak and learned how to defend herself and what she stands for. • she's a lieutenant in the heitai (where some argue she obtained such a high position at a young age due to nepotism) but mostly serves as a personal guard and sword for her father and eldest brother. • (they had another brother, tetsuya, who didn't particularly agree with the new regime and didn't exactly comply. coincidentally enough, he's now dead.) • she's a delicate balance between poise and grace and deadly precision; polite when she needs to be, quiet and steady but won't hesitate to strike someone down if they stand in her way. • level-headed and logical, she has a strong sense of what is right and wrong, though what she considers right might not align fully with the rest of the world. she can be considered somewhat cold and aloof, yet she's likely to be the warmest in her family which says a lot. • family means everything to her and she will defend their legacy until her last breath!!

tl;dr sword-swinging princess charged with protecting her family's legacy and the territories they were entrusted. logical, stoic, and hardened, ryuuko lives up to her name - the dragon of the west.

• i was gonna do this whole like nicely written thing but then i got lazy so you're gonna get this shit c: • nicodemus cordinier was born in war and died in war and is a product of war.

• kidnapped by maryse and titouan sangsue when he was a child, they convinced him that he was unwanted and unloved by his birth parents; maryse held him too close and too tight and after some time, he the same. • as the terror of the french revolution accelerates, maryse decides it's time to turn him and his 'siblings' to give them their best chance at survival. • vampirism is hardly what he expects it to be. • they try to teach him to live this half-life on minimal amounts of blood, a humane existence alongside humans • but he drinks in moments of weakness that become too hard to fight off and they try to teach him that he's more than his condition, he isn't just a monster. • he tries to be good but bloodlust gnaws at him, it emaciates him. • they bring another into the coven to show him how to be a good role model, to be responsible. in jealousy, he acts out. • he convinces himself one kill is okay. but one kill turns into two turns into three into more. • he fights cravings for blood like drug addiction; it's daily and it's constant and it's an itch and a crawling underneath his skin that he can never satiate. • the longer he goes between kills the quicker his satisfaction dissipates. • maryse and two of his 'siblings' die in the dead wars. • it breaks him. • he and his last remaining sibling migrate to the hinterlands to live in obscurity but his skin itches and his blood sizzles when he hears the wolves howl at night. • he starts killing again, targeting voldemort supporters, plucking them from the streets and dessicating them slowly, using other various torture methods to uncover more information on how to overthrow the new regime. • when he starts killing again, he realizes he's phenomenal at it. • he starts to talk to others, offering to sell his bite to build stronger vampire numbers, to take back what's theirs. • he's going to make y'all pay!!

• tl;dr small, sweet, trusting boy kidnapped by overzealous vampires who turn him at the height of the french revolution to give him his best shot at survival. blood changes him and war poisons him. cynical and vindictive, he's gone on a killing spree to get revenge for the deaths in his family c:
