Since I've brought this topic up earlier today, let's talk about some of the few vulnerable moments Roddy had in MTMTE

This page makes me feel sad. Rodimus usually keeps his mouth shut and plays his usual pretend game, but not with Optimus. He keeps dropping little nuggets here and there, hoping he'd pick it up like a teenager pulling at their dad's sleeve, hoping to get some comfort, to no avail. It's very "Hey, I'm suffering and don't know what to do. Please help me." ) :(

The bit with Trailbreaker is sad af too. Roddy immediately goes up to him and tries to drill the warning to prevent his future death. Alas, it gets erased from his memory when his sense of always being left behind makes him go in for a handshake with Chromedome before they leave, and you can see just how torn up Rodimus is about it ) :(

Also, note how he has him in mind when he is described, and the physiology of his sense of grief and loss just shows you how much he cared about him ) :)

And finally, the bit where he reunites with Drift.

You can see him still try to act in a slightly playful way with the "lose a life" comment, but he just doesn't have it in him to play pretend. He still holds back a bit, but he allows Drift into his hidden inner world in a way Drift knows how to interpret with fewer words. It's a very delicate moment of honesty, and Drift is very touched ) :)

I love free will

I'm a firm believer that Rodimus would be grossed out by the idea of kissing, dating, or sleeping with any of his crew. For one, he just doesn't want to give off the vibe that he's some kind of debauched captain, I think he'd genuinely throw up if that was the crew's impression of him. And secondly, either someone's just not his type or he believes that they're far too good for him. Also he fears intimacy more than death.

HOWEVER! Porn is also really cool. Cocky want boing boing, Rodimus go be horny so I can watch.

would carrying finally get the stick out of mags' ass? definitely not. he'd be incredibly particular about everything he needs (even more so than usual) and if it's not to his specifications, he'll tell you to do it again or he'll want nothing to do with it. magnus with mood swings would also be a nightmare to deal with, not because he'll be violent or abrasive, but because no one would really know what to do because he's just so stoic. BUT when the pregnancy's over, he'll fuss over his sparkling so much because he wants everything to be right and he'll only trust himself (and probably idw megatron) to make sure everything's as it should be. he'd be the epitome of a responsible creator and would make sure he instills that sense of responsibility into his kid. [x]

I just think having a sparkling would do him the world of good and maybe, just maybe, chill him out a little... Who am I kidding, it would make him a 100 times worse, but what a protective daddy he would be <3 [x]

Dude would become a whole other manipulative beast while pregnant. Like cmoooonnnn are you gonna give consequences to a pregnant guy?? Any punishment given to him is punishment for his innocent child, after all. He's soooo pregnant and soooo tired rn and he's literally creating life guys like please let him get away with this he's so pregnant about it. I can also see him accidentally attached to the kid. It's his after all, so it's better than anyone else's. At least, he finds it to be the greatest thing ever, and hey, if he can create something this beautiful, maybe he's got some of his own goodness somewhere inside? Maybe he can recognize that his existence is self-validating, that he doesn't need some outside force to affirm that his surviving the war wasn't a mistake, that even an MTO made to die namelessly on the field can find meaning after the battle. Also he's got big wet puppydog eyes and I think they'd be devastatingly cute on a baby [x]
