This page... Is doing very grand things for my little soul. I miss the whimsy the world used to be filled with... I miss the old info commercials and toy commercials. I miss all the incredibly silly gadgets that we used to be plagued with. I used to think it was so stupid growing up. Now? I'm watching compilations of them. Thank you, joyous friend

Thank you for sending in this message! It makes me really happy to hear :0] There's something I think is really important to remember: You can always go back. (that's why I made it my username after all!)

You can't always change the world, but you can choose the way you do things.

You can still play with those old toys, you can still use that old tech, you can still wear those old clothes, you can still own that old physical media, you can still watch those old videos, you can still take those old-looking pictures. I won't say there's nothing stopping you, that'd be a lie- but a lot of it is really worth it if you're willing/able to make the switch. Things can't always be the way they used to be, but you can- if you've got the heart for it.

The majority of the internet isn't made for people anymore, but if you look a little closer, you can find places that still are. Neocities, SpaceHey, BitView, ChickenSmoothie, Webkinz/AnimalJam Classic, and I'm sure there's more. Some companies still make flip-phones. Plenty of people fix up/jailbreak old devices. More people add to the talent pool everyday. It's never too late to join the nostalgia-fueled movement!

I promise there are still people that care out there, people who feel the same way you do. Never stop caring, never stop hoping, never stop appreciating. Never stop being your unique self! Put that whimsy you miss back into the world around you, one action/piece at a time! <3
