She pursed her lips and glared at her boyfriend. “Try an’ dae somethin’ nice fer ye when ye spend all yer time oot there workin’ an’ ye come waltzin’ in and tellin’ me aboot how wrong it is.” Merida muttered as she turned around and didn’t face him. Of course the archer was teasing Mako but there was no point in making that known just yet. “Ah mean ye could o’ at least appreciated the effort.” Still, she sighed.
“Ah dinnae ken.” She replied as she crossed her arms over her chest and looked over her shoulder at the firebender. Although her curls made it difficult to get a proper glance at the firebender she kept her eyes on him when it seemed that he knew exactly what he wanted in the omelette anyway. “Ye seem tae have it all under control, Fire Boy.”
"You wanna try eating that?" Mako asked, pointing a finger at the sink. "Then be my guest. But I'm not going to be nursing you back to health when you get sick from it." That was lie but he wasn't about to tell her that. If anything did happen to Merida then he would be by his girlfriend's side in a matter of seconds. He just didn't want that to happen in the first place. "I do appreciate the effort though...Just like I did when you baked me that cake on my birthday." Though they then got into a fight over that but Mako didn't want to bring that part up again.
"No what I have here are the bare basics," he explained as he went back to the fridge. "You need all of that to make a decent one but it usually tastes better with other things thrown in. Vegetables and meat work best...Want me to put in some red peppers and some chicken?"

The ginger princess ran her tongue over her teeth before lifting her head and looking towards the firebender. “Whit’s so wrang wi’ tha’?” She couldn’t help but feel a little offended that he wasn’t too impressed with what she had cooked. The time they spent together had become less and less often and she had just wanted to surprise him.
Well she supposed that she had managed to surprise him? “Ummm,” She mused as she raised her red brows and puffed out her freckled cheeks. “How aboot an omelette?”
Pulling his head out of the fridge, he looked over at her and stared at her as if she had suddenly turned into a platypus bear. "You're kidding...Right? Merida, that thing is so hard I don't even think I can penatrate it with my firebending..." Mako was proud of her for her attempt but he wasn't about to let her eat it. Most likely it would only make her sick and he didn't want that.
"Alright, an omelet isn't that bad." Minus cooking the egg just right and knowing when to flip it. "What do you want in it?" Regardless of what she said, he took out the eggs, milk, cheese, and butter. Keeping the fridge door open Mako placed the things he had taken out on the counter and then took out a new pan to cook the omelet in.

"...You tried to cook?" A sigh came out of Mako as he pinched the bridge of his nose. As annoyed as he felt, though, he could hold back the slight smile that came onto his face. "What exactly did you try to make?"
She pursed her lips and patted her tongue against her cheek in an annoyed manner. “Dinnae laugh at me…” She warned but calmed when she saw that the firebender simply smiled at her. “Look, ah’m used tae people just handin’ me food.” Merida rambled off as she grabbed hold of a dish that had been in the oven – a casserole; whatever it was was burnt to a black crisp.
Dropping it down on the counter top she shrugged. “See, it’s fine.”
Mako stared at the pan for a moment before taking it and turning it upside-down. When the "food" within it didn't come out, he whacked the pan against the counter to see what would happen. A crumb fell out and onto the counter but nothing else seemed to happen. Walking over to the sink he threw the pan into it before opening the fridge to see what exactly they had. "What do you want to eat? I'll show you how to make so...That," he jerked his head towards the sink but didn't look at her, "doesn't happen again."
Change.
sassy jinora, i like.
the last one worked hahaha poor zuzu
Pffft
The petite Scot rolled her blue eyes at her boyfriend as she moved her arms above her head and stretched. “A spa?” The rogue princess questioned as she quirked her head to the side and raised one of her ginger brows. “An’ get treated like a princess?” She scoffed before shaking her head, “No thanks.” The last thing Merida wanted was to be waited on hand and foot – she didn’t mind Mako giving her a massage, at least that was more intimate —- but she didn’t want to go somewhere and get treated like a princess. Even if she technically was one.
“Och, like ah e’er doubted ye,” Merida once more rolled her eyes as she removed the rest of her clothing for the shower that they were going to be sharing. The last time they had taken a shower together they did get rather… steamy in more than just the literal meaning of the word. This time she just wanted to wash, get in that undershirt and then lie down and have a lazy day. “Well, maybe a wee bit.”
"Well there goes your birthday present for next year," Mako muttered with a small smirk. Taking off the rest of his clothes and placing them on the toilet seat, he turned on the shower head and waited for it to warm a little. "Thanks for the vote of confidence." Not that he thought she actually doubted him. Sticking his hand under the water he finally deemed it warm enough. "Come on, it's warm. I'll wash your hair for you." It wouldn't be the first time he had actually done it and he thought she could use a bit of help with how much hair she had. "I'll even do it free of charge."
hugs from the best little bro ever makes everything better
She pursed her lips and looked towards her boyfriend as he stopped and kissed the top of her head. Instantly she scrunched up her face and stuck her tongue out at him. When he told her that she could give him a massage, or at least owe him one, she shrugged her shoulders. “Dinnae sound so convinced, maybe ye should be the one tae gi’ me a massage.” It wasn’t like Merida disliked having a massage… she just very rarely ever received one from her lover.
Merida let go of Mako’s arm before pushing the door of the bathroom open and walking inside before standing before the mirror, tilting her head and squinting her eyes at her reflection. “Ugh,” She spoke, patting her hands at her almost deflated hair. “Ah really need tae wash this… it’s soo… unpoofy.” Merida adored her messy out of control hairdo.
Seeing her stick her tongue out him his automatic response was to do the same right back at her. "Why don't I just arrange for you to go to a spa then?" He was joking of course. He didn't have the money to do such a thing for Merida, though he would have gladly given her such a gift. "But I'm not against the massage. If you really want to give me one then you can after our shower." To Mako that sounded like a reasonable deal. Though he could just see Merida being against it because he wanted it.
Following her into the bathroom he began to undress as he continued to carry on his conversation with Merida. "Funny, I thought that was why we were taking a shower," Mako said as he tugged his undershirt over his head and then draped it on the side of the sink so she could easily get it when they got out of the shower. "There, you can wear that when we get out. So don't say I didn't hold up to my side of the deal."
