Hey everyone! Sorry about the sudden inactivity on this blog these past few weeks. My life took a few unexpected and hella fast turns as I ended up moving across the country and starting my first job out of college. I underestimated the time it would take to adjust to a new place and full-time schedule. So while I’ve been still generally keeping up with TANGRAM, I haven’t found the time to update this blog and post translations. I’m getting better at managing my time and energy though, so hopefully I can be back real soon, especially in time for their comeback!! :)

Since this blog was getting close to its 1 year mark, I’ve been meaning to do a shoutout to my fav blogs. It took a while, but I finally found the time to write this up. It’s so crazy think back and see how we’ve grown and changed. Through it all though, I’m incredibly happy and proud that we’ve remained the sweetest, most creative (!!), meme-worthy, and lovable fandom I know~ Whether you are still active on these blogs or not, I truly appreciate all that you have done: translations, updates, gif sets, gfx, fan fics, fan art, video subs, compiling resources, or just being part of the fandom!

I think what happened with 9% is that the members are busy with their own careers (like Yanjun has almost no screentime in the mv since he had a solo schedule on the day they filmed it )+ iqiyi focused mostly on making them modelling (CFs and all), it probably brings more money in idk. And as for why the trainees are participating, maybe it's to get attention, even if they don't get to perform as a group at least they can have more fans (I hope they can be a successful group in the end still!)

so basically it’s the companies (+ iqiyi in this case?) that made sure they never got/get to do anything as a group by only planning in solo activities for them. idk if it’s just me, but solo activities when you’re in a group just doesn’t come over well. why did iqiyi even form the group if they were basically only going to be letting them do their own thing. it’s not only mad disrespectful to the some of members (that probably wanted to be part of that group), but also to the people that didn’t get in imo.

and yeah, the press is good for the trainees. that makes sense, since it makes sure that they’ll be known…but i feel like that’s only useful when you don’t make it into the group (that’s basically the only reason all those already established groups joined let’s be real here lmao)

i don’t know why i’m so pressed over this tbh, maybe it’s bc we were promised a group and instead got like solo activities from some of the members.

i just hope that this time we get what we’re promised, which is like you said: a succesful group :’)
