I'm just over here writing junk and wanting some validation. This is a dumping ground for fics that I don't have a book for on Wattpad (maybe some oc stuff?) so it will be more random and less delibrate. More info on my Wattpad (under the same pic and username)
I don’t know if you take requests like this but I figured I’d give it a go.
If you can spare your efforts, do you mind writing on how the TWST characters (from whatever house you’d like to write) would react to finding out Yuu was poisoning themselves to build tolerance? Perhaps Yuu felt so extraordinarily weak since they can’t use magic that they needed an advantage. Consequently, so they started building their tolerance to poison by poisoning themselves.
Have a good day/night!!
Never be afraid to request! I promise I’m not scary. The worst I can do is say that I’m not the best person to fulfill the request. (Also I apologize for taking so long, I just went home from college so things have been funky.)
I ended up writing for both Scarabia and Pomefiore because they both would definitely have some opinions on this Yuu’s ‘hobby’. The Yuu is written gender neutral, everything is intended to be platonic, all scenarios are intended to be independent, spoilers for book 5, and trigger warning for talk of pain, blood, and poisoning.
TWST Masterlist
Kalim Al-Asim
Kalim was curious why you always kept asking for a bite of his food before he’d get a chance to try it. No matter if the food came from Jamil or a random vendor, you insisted on trying it first. Kalim just thought you were hungry, but then one of the food items turned out to be poisoned. You started coughing, stomach fighting the poison intended for Kalim. The instant you recognized the symptoms boiling inside you, you smacked the food from his hands.
“Don’t- poison,” You coughed before shaking off the after effects.
“Sevens!” Kailm’s face went pale as he got closer to you, “We’ve got to get you to the hospital. I promise I’ll make sure you’re okay.”
“I’m fine,” You took in a breath before grabbing the crackers that you carried specifically because they would soak up liquid poisons within the body, “Whoever poisoned this was a coward. They didn’t use anything strong.”
“Still!” Kalim was trying to lead you forward, “Any poison can be deadly if you aren’t prepared for it!”
“But I’m prepared,” You spoke between chewing your crackers, “I’m not immune, but I’m definitely not dying to anything this weak.”
“You’re-” Kailm froze, “Prepared?”
You smiled, all effects of the poison mostly passed, “I’ve been building poison immunity since I got here. I needed to do something to make sure I was strong enough to keep up with everyone.”
Kalim’s eyes blew wide, “Yuu-”
“So let me keep being your poison tester,” You smiled, “I’ll be useful. Keep my friends safe.”
This didn’t comfort Kalim, but he didn’t know what else to say, “Okay. Just- be safe.”
Jamil Viper
Jamil saw you with vials of poison and immediately expected the worst. Surely this was going to turn into some jealous rampage due to how unfair your situation was. I mean, you were dirt poor, had no legal identity, and no family. Of course you would be jealous of all your rich classmates who came from affluent families. Of course you would eventually lash out. Jamil knew you seemed too perfect to be true.
However, he then saw you adding microdoses of poison to your own food. Confusion wracked through him. You had no reason to worry about someone poisoning you. You were poor and generally well loved. So he kept watching. He watched as you would intentionally put yourself in harm’s way, as if testing to see how much pain you could take before having to go to the infirmary.
“What in the Seven’s names are you doing?” Jamil spoke casually as he once again caught you poisoning your own food.
You didn’t even hesitate, “Building immunity. Why?”
He froze, not expecting the blunt answer, “I should be asking you that.”
“Well, I don’t want to be the weakest link,” you motioned to the poison, “So I’m making sure that I’m tough enough to survive without help.”
“No one is expecting you to be that strong,” Jamil couldn’t help but glare at the poison vial.
You just smiled at him, “That’s the point.”
The boy sighed, “Don’t be stupid.”
“I would never,” Your smile changed to a smirk, “That’s your job.”
Vil Schoenheit
Vil was thrilled that you seemed so interested in poison making. He was even more thrilled that you requested his advice in the matter. He’d see you with stacks of books about the process, but you always claimed that that was nothing compared to getting advice from a master.
However, he was less pleased when he realised why you were so invested in poisons. He noticed that you were microdosing yourself with poisons, and that you’d even dip your finger into poisonous mixtures to taste them and see if they were stronger then you had adapted to take.
He immediately confronted you, “What in the Sevens do you think you’re doing!?”
“Adapting,” you smiled, pushing down a cough in your throat, “I’m the weakest link. I’m making myself stronger. I mean, your poison almost killed me during your overblot. I’m not letting something like that happen again.”
You said it so plainly, then turned to return to what you were doing.
It hit Vil like a truck, “Did this start because of me?”
“No,” You smiled, “Just wanted to be useful. I’ve been working on it for months.”
“You need to stop,” Vil took a breath, “It’s not good to put your body through all of that.”
You tilted your head, “I’m doing it as safely as possible. Besides, I need this. I need to be stronger.”
The cogs in Vil’s head turn, “I’m going to help you. You need someone to make sure you don’t take on more than you can handle. Someone to watch over you in this,” He was showing sincerity, "Naturally, I wouldn’t trust anyone but myself with the position.”
Rook Hunt
Rook knew about it the moment you started. He could see all of the micro symptoms from the long-term exposure to the poisons the instant they started appearing. He’d also notice whenever you made mistakes in your exposure methods. He sneaks over and adjusts the ratio of substance to poison whenever he notices too much of one or the other. Earnestly he’d somehow track your conditioning better than you did.
He also started recommending and leaving foods for you to alleviate your symptoms. You’d find crackers in places you swore were empty before. Rook also took care to keep others from finding out about your plans and patterns. While Rook understands what and why you are doing this, he knows that many wouldn’t. He honestly finds it gorgeous how dedicated you are to gaining strength.
And you know how dedicated he is to all forms of beauty.
Epel Felmier
Epel had always thought that the stuff you added to the food was like vitamins or some kinda supplements, since many Pomefiore students would add that kinda thing to meals all the time. But then one time you added more than usual and he found you coughing up blood between classes.
“What in the Sevens happened!?” Epel ran over to you, “Where-? What-?”
“I’m fine,” You sighed as you cleaned up the last of your bloody coughing fit, “Just put too much poison in that last dish.”
“Poison!?” Epel ran over and started fussing over you, “Why is there any poison in your food?”
“I’m building immunity," You smiled, "Normally I’m better than this.”
“Why do you need to-?”
You interrupted the panicked boy, “I need to be stronger. More resilient. Better.”
“That shouldn’t mean hurting yourself,” Epel was deadly serious, “You’re already really strong and stuff.”
“Has that ever stopped you from trying to be stronger?” You had him there.
“You have to be careful,” Epel’s worries weren’t entirely dispelled.
What do you think of angsty idea of Yuu who was just like Caleb and has sibling like Philip from The Owl House?
Like, Yuu was born in times of witch hunting and was witch hunter alongside their sibling. They were practically inseparable, fantasized about being witch hunters when they grow up and play together as ones when they were children. But then black carriage came and took Yuu away from their sibling.
At first Yuu was afraid, suspicious and anxious, they were in unknown place literally beyond their home, surrounded by witches, or mages as they preferred to be called in this world, but most importantly they were worried for their sibling, they were left completely alone in their home without nobody else to take care of them, as Yuu is their only family. Were they found by others? Are they alright? They needed to get home quickly asap! But at the same time, Yuu knows they can't survive in this world alone and it's better not provoke "evil" mages into making enemies out of them, besides its not like they have something to protect themselves against them, so they suck it up and accept Crowley's offer, while trying to tolerate supernatural around them, especially ghosts and that demon cat.
But as the time goes on and they get closer to everyone, Yuu realize that humans were wrong in their prejudice against magic and put those beliefs behind them, they get attached to twisted wonderland, seeing it as home more and start to like magic too, seeing it's wonders and that it's not that bad. But they still want to get home just to get their sibling, they were still Yuu's family. Maybe if Yuu show them this place, sibling also see that they were wrong and maybe began to see new, better home in it too? At least that's what Yuu thought.
Meanwhile, sibling who just lost Yuu before their eyes, quickly made assumptions that witches were the ones who kidnapped them, in order to get retribution on them and bring Yuu back, they did everything, researched to find ways to them and they did, finally managing to reach twisted wonderland. Unlike, Yuu, sibling already had plans to hunt all of those people, seeing them as nothing more than "disgusting, rotten to the core witches" and refuses to change their ways. At some point, Yuu and sibling find each other, they were both very happy at first, however, Yuu was naive, they didn't realise sibling was already too deep in to change their way, despite Yuu's love and support for their sibling, they still felt betrayed, enraged and repulsed when Yuu starts to befriend those witches (maybe even fell in love with one of characters), so they decide to kill Yuu for their change of heart, while claiming they had to die to "cleanse their soul", that it was Yuu's fault or anyone else's (though it was more about delusions, narcissism and willingness to kill anyone who disagree with their views and beliefs or goes against them, just like Phillip)
So, when Yuu was alone in the forest, lured by their sibling and forest set on fire, Yuu being compassionate and reluctant to fight them, believing they were upset and tried to talk to sibling, explaining that none of those mages are actually evil, that they were wrong, but sibling wanted to hear none of it and, just Caleb and Philip, it turned into full on fighting duel with knives in which:
A) Yuu dies, being stabbed to death by their sibling, sibling at first regrets it but have no remorse over it as they believe that Yuu deserves it and blames cast for their downfall, then trying to escape (I make it better worse, if one of characters fell in love with Yuu and trying to find them, find Yuu dead and bloody, i love giving characters trauma as if they don't have enough)
B) Yuu survives, but traumatised, they finally see their true colors and probably try to find them so they won't bring harm upon twisted wonderland
Holy- I honestly feel like you could totally write this concept yourself! (Please tag me if you do.) You have a very strong idea for everything, but I’ll still give some thoughts. I’m going to keep Yuu and their Sib gender neutral for the sake of this idea blurb.
TW: Possible religious themes (Mentions of witchcraft as a sin, etc.), and talk of violence and scars (from burns and cuts).
TWST Masterlist
So I definitely see Sib having one last stand before trying to kill Yuu. They are convinced that Yuu has been mind-controlled or tempted by the sins of witchcraft. Magic was just so much stronger here. Sib is definitely convinced in some kinda magical stockholm syndrome, an idea vindicated by Yuu trying to convince Sib to see the NRC boys as people instead of monsters.
The biggest mistake would be mentioning the overblots. If Yuu even vaguely hints that they had been in battle with any of the boys, that would be damning proof in Sib’s theory that all of these ‘witches’ aren’t redeemable and should be hunted to extinction. Just be glad Sib doesn’t have the chance to meet Rollo. (Unless…)
If Yuu didn’t survive, not only would the NRC boys have to become the villains that Sib thinks they are in an attempt to avenge you, but they would be devastated. Crowley would freak out – because he knows he has to report the murder – think of the reputation damage! But Sib would become one of the most hunted criminals in Twisted Wonderland. Malleus alone would probably demand that any resources that can be spared to look for Sib needed to be deployed instantly. Many of the boys might even skip school to try and track Sib down themselves.
If Yuu survives, they’d be covered in deep cuts from their fight with Sib. Not only that, but there would likely be burn scars littering their skin from the forest fire Sib started. I don’t know which boy would find them first, but their biggest priority would be getting you to the hospital before getting revenge. Yuu would probably keep trying to find Sib, to try and make them see what they see. However, I doubt it would work.
Whether it’s as a ghost or in life, Yuu will be haunting Sib until they either give up, manage to get back home, or die. Yuu will protect their boys. And their boys will avenge their prefect.
Hi, how are you? I hope everything is fine. Could you write a couple of headcanons for the overblot guys? I would like you to write something about their teenage children, who are more relaxed than them and cheerful, charismatic, but very kind. The guys from Twisted Wonderland didn't like each other before the main character appeared, but what if their children are quite friendly? Thank you very much in advance. And sorry, I translated from Google Translate.
I didn’t give any of the kids a specific gender, unless you count the fact that they all end up at NRC. I made them kinda the opposite of one of the character traits of their fathers, mostly just because I think it’d be really funny. I described each of the teens, then did a blurb about their relationships with one another.
This was so much fun to write! (I’ll totally write more if anyone asks for it lol) I hope you enjoy it!

Riddle’s Kid
I think Riddle’s kid would definitely be the “work hard, play hard” type. Like they would totally get work done quickly, with high quality, but would also dump their efforts into a lot of low-stakes hobbies. Probably starting with whatever activities they could use to bond with Riddle or their other parent. They’d probably never get into sports or anything that requires too much of a commitment, preferring things they can do at their own pace to accommodate more important things. They’d also only really follow the ‘rules’ when they see the value in them, or when they could get punished for disobeying.
Leona’s Kid
Leona’s kid would definitely be a big caretaker. Like his kid would be asking for babydoll toys as soon as they could figure out that pointing and looking at their parents with doe eyes could possibly get them the thing they pointed at. The kid is like a professional babysitter the moment they fully realize that they have free will. Once they get old enough to watch younger children, they immediately create their own babysitting “company”. Doing all the marketing and work by themselves, taking no shortcuts or skimping on any detail. Also, they love their cousin Cheeka. Like it’s borderline unhealthy how much joy this kid gets when their cousin comes to spend time with them.
Azul’s Kid
Azul’s child would definitely be a foodie. They’d be a baker or chief who would always insist on making a full portion for everyone they’re cooking for, including themselves. They’d never dream of anyone around them counting calories or carbs for anything more than medical necessity (shout out to fellow diabetics). On top of that, they tend to take things at face value. They understand the business and corporate talk that their dad uses daily might have some complexities to it. But outside of formal business meetings, they simply don’t understand that people might not say exactly what they mean. They are very kind, but definitely blunt and honest to a fault.
Jamil’s Kid
Jamil’s kid is going to give him an aneurysm. He somehow manages to raise a mini-Kalim. The kid isn’t as naive or rich as Jamil’s former dorm-mate, but they are just as optimistic with a go-getter attitude that exists to serve others. The kid doesn’t have a self-serving bone in their body. They also spend much of their time researching their latest interests in the library, lately they’ve been reading up on insect migration patterns. They might not be the best in school, or sports, or arts, but they completely throw themselves into learning whatever they want. They never hold back when they want to try to do something, always hoping to be the best at whatever they put their mind to.
Vil’s Kid
Vil’s child despises the spotlight. They only do any sort of skincare under Vil’s direct order and supervision, preferring to put effort into physical creation over performance. They would definitely be into more mechanical talents, like cars or woodwork. Real tradesperson. Granted, Vil does value those talents and the work put into them. However, he can’t believe how shy his child can get the instant anyone praises them for their work, or if anyone they don’t know even really gives them any kind of attention. He thinks it's a real shame. Any child of Vil’s is definitely a star in whatever way they want.
Idia’s Kid
How Idia’s child became an extrovert who only came home to sleep, no one knows. Maybe it was Ortho’s influence, or some kid they made friends with at the preschool that their other parent insisted they attend. Idia’s kid also has almost no online presence of any form. Their phone only really being used to call or text people (though they definitely preferred phone calls to text), mostly just to set up more in-person hangouts. They rarely even used a laptop! And when Idia’s kid isn’t out with friends, they’re hanging around one of their family members. It’s like if the kid is alone they’ll burn.
Malleus’s Kid
The newest heir to the Briar Valley throne is… different then one would expect. This kid somehow not only managed to figure out modern technology, but has completely immersed themselves in their own digital world. They start a streaming career in their teens. They’ll be playing games with a camera and mic hooked up, hundreds of people watching as they play whatever game they want. It’s not necessarily in an attempt to gain fame, it’s like an art to them. They’ll also do streams vlogging or doing some other activity they want to share with their followers. Of course, their streaming blows up because who wouldn’t want to see into the life of the newest heir of the mysterious land of Fae?
Relationships with one another as teens:
Azul’s kid and Malleus’s kid would definitely do cooking steams together. Malleus’s kid isn’t a great cook, but they’ll follow their friend’s lead while creating some very entertaining banter. Azul’s kid also becomes a microcelebrity for body positivity. Malleus’s kid would definitely help Azul’s kid set up a Magicam (or probably whatever new social media that would probably replace it in the future) to post clips of streams and some recipe videos. The two of them would definitely be a great source of online positivity. (There might be some shippers, but I doubt the two would ever be romantic with one another.)
Vil’s kid and Idia’s kid would also spend a ton of time with one another. Vil’s kid would probably be working on a car or some other project, and Idia’s kid would be basically acting as an IRL podcast. Idia’s kid would also probably invite other friends to hang around wherever Vil’s kid was working. Idia’s kid would combat Vil’s kid’s shyness by handpicking other teens that he believed would make good friends for his closest companion. Then he would make sure that these other teens would lay off on randomly complementing the work, and Idia’s kid would definitely keep eyes off of Vil’s kid by being the center of attention himself. It’s like supervised socialization. Idia’s kid is not letting Vil’s kid be a completely isolated hermit. And even if Vil’s kid is a little scared of making friends and he might not talk as much as everyone else, he does appreciate how his friend makes an effort to include him.
Riddle’s kid and Jamil’s kid are the textbook definition of best friends. The two of them will throw themselves into whatever they put their mind to together. Competing to be the best – Jamil’s kid because they want to be the best and Riddle’s kid because they know that the competition motivates their friend to do their best. The two definitely love to go on adventures together, and they probably get jobs at the same place so they can make money to go out together on off days.
Leona’s kid is the ‘mother hen’ (no matter the gender) that takes care of the entire friend group. The instant that all of the overblot kids enter NRC, Leona’s kid gathers them to make a friend group. They vaguely know that all of their fathers knew one another when they all attended NRC, and while their dad never really brings up too many details they have seen the pictures. They know that if their dad liked these people’s parents, then they’ll probably like these people. All of the overblot kids click with one another. Some had previous relationships with one another, but under the care of Leona’s kid, they truly became a friend-family. Much to the surprise of all of their dads.
I’ve always wanted a yuu who was bullied or hurt by society due to having adhd and autism. I heavily relate to mafuyu asahina from pjsk with the masking and how truly exhausting it is.
If you are comfortable with it, I would love a how the house wardens feel about this yuu after hearing about how vicious our world is to those who are different. Seriously the amount of death threats from the other girls I got is INSANE not to mention the one girl who gave me a concussion by picking me up and then just slamming me onto the floor (I’m like a 5 foot 90 pound girl now and she was a gymnast) but that was in elementary school so I was even smaller lmao
Thank you guys for being so patient with me getting all of these asks out. I was (and kinda still am) suffering a major writing block, reconnected with some friends, and am now dealing with finals. I appreciate all patience and hope to get through all my asks within the next few weeks (though I at least have to prioritize my schooling). Thank you guys for liking what I put out and being kind about how long this is taking.
I know a lot more about autism than ADHD, so forgive me if these drabbles end up leaning more towards autistic stuff. This is a gn!Yuu character, and all drabbles are intended to be platonic (But you can read it with whatever intention you want).
Trigger warning: Small mention of blood.
TWST Masterlist
Riddle
Riddle had seen you flinch before. Of course during overblots, but also in normal situations. Your body tensing when someone yelled or when little fights broke out. Like you were expecting everything to turn on you at any moment. He also saw how your body seemed to be constantly flooded with energy. In Riddle’s eyes, it looked like you were a warrior constantly ready for battle.
It was only when you were too exhausted to mask that he realized he had never seen you relaxed. Riddle had dragged you away after an exhausting day in an attempt to help you study for a test he knew the freshmen were having later that week. You simply couldn’t keep it up after another night of insomnia and class after class.
You acted completely differently. Riddle didn’t think it was a bad different, but it did raise the question of why you didn’t always act like this. He could understand that constantly letting out that energy that coursed through your veins might be a distraction, but every other difference was perfectly normal. To him, it was just like seeing an introvert in public rather than an extrovert.
But when he asked you, he was floored. You were much more blunt then you normally would be, because you had no energy to try and turn the answers into something he’s like to hear. You explained how your world had treated you. How people would yell at you for not following certain social rules no one had taught you, how people would look at you like you were stupid for asking questions, how some would hit and hurt you because you didn’t act like them, and how you had curated a version of you that could reflect the people around you in order to be palatable to everyone.
Of course, Riddle was appalled by every story you let pass through your lips. He understood not ‘fitting in’, but he had always commanded enough presence that no one had dared to treat him unfairly because of it. You clearly didn’t have that ability. It seemed like your presence was too big to exist like everyone else, but too small to keep yourself afloat.
You find him pulling you aside when he sees you are stressed. He also starts explaining things more thoroughly while not singling you out. The biggest thing is that he’s always going to be there for you. Making sure you are treated with all the respect and care you should have had from the beginning.
Leona
Leona knew you were putting up a mask from the moment he met you. He could see the cogs constantly turning in your head, trying to work out social situations. He could see how you would lose focus and he definitely noticed when you fixated on whatever thing of the month. Eventually you let your guard down around him. It was easy when you noticed that Leona would go out of his way to lead you along, keeping you on track while not judging you in the slightest.
Then came the days of gentle pacing while rambling. Leona would be laying nearby, only half listening to your rambles while he drifts off. Part of him is proud that you’re like this around him. He knows none of the other students really get to see you completely unmasked. He’s the only one that gets to be lulled to sleep by your voice as you discuss whatever random thing that you’ve taught yourself this time.
A few times Leona has mentioned a ‘weird’ habit you have and ask what it’s about. Like he asked about why you don’t ask questions when you’re clearly confused. So you explained that people would make fun of you for being stupid. No one else needed to ask a bunch of clarifying questions to complete simple tasks. No one else needed ‘simple’ social things explained. So you had been ostracized a lot. Some just thought you weren’t smart, others thought it was weaponized incompetence, and others just thought you were a freak.
Leona would ask why your explanations were so long and detailed. You’d explain that those details are things that felt important to the idea. You didn’t just assume details like many do, because those social details mattered. It’s harder for you to know what people mean when they say things, so you got in the habit of saying all of those meanings and details clearly out of fear of being misunderstood.
He’d ask why you apologized after talking for longer than a few minutes. You’d explain that most people got tired of hearing your voice. Especially since it was so loud and quick in an attempt to get everything that needed to be said out in the open. So you had defaulted to knowing that you were too much. That your voice and presence was something to be apologetic for. Something to hide when you could push all the ideas into the bottom of your throat.
Leona never made you feel bad though. Leona would just nod, smirk, and drift off. In fact, he said your voice was soothing. Your rambles acting as his new favorite lullaby.
Azul
Azul recognizes the signs of bullying. They reflect on you like a mirror, but he doesn’t understand why. You’re beautiful and strong, and you seem to have all the qualities that Azul had been bullied for lacking. But then he notices it. The excess energy, the mask, and how you seem to consciously be changing yourself in order to fit in with the people around you.
Then one day he catches you fully unmasked. You were just too tired to keep it up. You sunk into a corner booth during the last few open hours at the lounge. Sugar crashing as you tried to stay awake long enough to order your food. You hoped that you had enough social battery to prevent anything too weird when talking to the poor student who’d be serving you.
Azul noticed your behavior, noting how unlike you it was. So he made a choice to be your waiter for the evening. This was the worst case scenario for you, since the mask you had made to face the octopus boy was one of the masks that took the most effort. You definitely couldn’t pull off your normal behavior with him. He recognized it.
After that, he watched you like a hawk. Jade observing you when he couldn’t. However, you also began to notice little things. How when you’d slip up, Jade seemed to always step in or redirect attention. Floyd would start to mess with you, somehow redirecting you to tasks you had forgotten about and also getting out extra energy in the same breath.
Some part of you thought about how Azul had to be the one who was telling them to do so much for you. But you dismissed the idea. There’s no way Azul would go to so much effort without wanting something in return. Little do you know that he’s just such a benevolent soul who just wanted to help a fellow victim.
Kalim
Kalim had no idea what to make of it when he managed to catch you off guard. He’d dragged you to a party during breakfast, a light music club practice that seemed more like a rave, and another party at dinner. Scarabia was partying hard, but you were gone. Picking at your skin and nails as your leg bounced and your mouth was shut like a bear trap. Your social battery was in the negatives and you were overstimulated in every way possible. The only good news was that everyone was so distracted that they didn’t notice that you were seconds away from a meltdown.
You looked down to see that you had carved a cut into the skin near your nail, blood leaking from the incision. You looked around to see if anyone noticed, then left the room once no one was looking. Luckily, Jamil had shown you where the first aid stuff was. So you grabbed some disinfectant and a bandage, before taking a breath and heading out to get some air.
Despite your efforts, Kalim noticed you had left. Luckily for you, Kalim just went to find you without making a scene. When he found you and asked what happened, he was shocked to see tears in the corners of your eyes. You told him how sorry you were that you couldn’t keep it up any longer and that you just needed to breathe before you managed to rip off a nail.
Safe to say Kalim was confused. You had to explain your autism and ADHD and all the things that would have gotten you socially crucified back home. Then you begged him not to say anything, explaining the bullying and traumas that you feared would repeat if this got out again. Kalim assured you that he wouldn’t say anything as long as you did him one favor. You had to tell him if you were overwhelmed or needed to leave. He didn’t want you to have to pretend for him. Friends are honest with each other, alright?
Vil
Vil recognized that you were acting. How you would respond to every tone change or action. He could almost see the cogs turning the instant that anything happened. It was exhausting to watch, so Vil wondered why in the world you would go to all that effort.
So he risked scaring you to just ask. He treated you to a nice day filled with spa treatments and meals without Grim picking off your plate. Then he gently led you to a private area and asked exactly what was on his mind.
When you explained your neurodivergency and how people tended to react to it, Vil was fuming. Not at you, never at you, but fuming none the less. It’s not like he’s unaware of bullying, he himself had experienced it as a child. However he had been strong enough to let their comments wash off his back, to grow beyond the ignorance. He hadn’t considered that bullying could affect one’s actions years after it happened, let alone when the bullies didn’t even exist in this world.
He insists that you shouldn’t “act” around him, and he personally decided to help with your confidence. He personally hopes that you’ll always be able to express yourself as you are in the future. He likes the bluntness, the logical thinking, and the ability to hyperfocus. He has a little bit of rose-tinted glasses when it comes to your conditions. But he’s definitely there to help whenever you need it.
Idia
Idia probably doesn’t even really notice the difference between when you’re masking and when you’re not. He just assumes it is the difference between how you act in public vs private. He’s honestly one of the people that you don’t have to mask around because he doesn’t typically pay attention to those kinds of things. He’ll have his headphones on, so he doesn’t care if you talk or stim. If you start ranting about a hyperfixation or jumping from topic to topic, he’ll just do the same back at you if he feels like it. He rarely shuts you down, and the few times that he doesn’t have the energy to process everything you throw at him he’ll just politely tune you out.
You only really get into the topic because you mentioned it casually by accident. You just mentioned how lucky Idia must be to be too tall and intimidating to be pushed around because if you mentioned your interests to others the way he does to everyone, you’d break your current record of how many times someone pushed you into the cold metal of a locker door in a single day. Current record being seven from some day you accidentally infodumped in fifth grade history class. When he questioned it, you just explained that people would pick on you all the time back home.
You did have to expressly explain your ADHD and autism and how everyone you’d met back home called you a freak for it. How your parents would tell you to just be quiet in adult settings because none of the topics you fixated on were ‘mature’ enough for adults to listen. How your grandparents would fuss over your clothes and hairstyle, which you tailored to match your sensory needs, saying that you’d look so much better if you dressed like normal people. How you realized that people only really wanted to be your friend if you tailored yourself to fit the kind of person they wanted to be around. You also explained why that made Idia special. The version of you that you had tailored for him, was actually really close to who you thought you really were. Granted you’d lost so much of yourself to the closet of masks and files within your head, it was a little hard to remember what you hadn’t fabricated.
Idia doesn’t really know what to do with all of that, so he just moves on. It’s what you were doing, so it can’t have been the wrong choice. However, you find that Idia makes a little more effort to help you pursue your fixations and will lag the devices of anyone he sees laughing at you when you let something slip. Ortho is definitely keeping an eye on you too, being able to be more direct in helping you when you’re overstimulated or understimulated. Idia will always be a safe place, that he promises.
Malleus
Malleus hadn’t been put in a place to see you masked for months into your friendship. He’d catch you on late night walks, talking to you about ruins and gargoyles and whatever else was on his mind. You’d earnestly be too tired from the rest of the day to mask and pretend to be neurotypical around the fae. Plus, he always seemed too ethereal and unreal so you kinda forgot that he was someone you could mask to accommodate. Like he was a dream you kept finding yourself in before drifting into true unconsciousness.
You’d pour your heart out to your friend, speaking of how you’d been treated and how your brain didn’t work like anyone else’s. You did have to elaborate that no one here had done that kinda thing to you here, if only to keep your dear Hornton from hurting anyone.
Before you had said anything, he had some conception of the cruelty of man. However, your stories completely broke his brain. How could someone be so unkind to someone because they have more energy, or interest? How could someone react violently to someone simply needing literal instruction or a bit more patience than another being? To say he was confused and angry (mostly at the fact he couldn’t punish the people who had hurt you), would be an understatement.
He’ll simply do his best to remain a safe person for you. Also mentioning your woes to Lilia, Silver, and Sebek with the instruction to help you however they can. He also swears them to secrecy, leading to many questions from passersby why so many members of Diasomnia are reading books from the psychology section of the school library. (You now have four bodyguards to help you navigate school. You don’t have a choice, but they do end up being relatively helpful. Like emotional support dogs.)
helloooo!! i just watched the apothecary diaries and the scene where maomao dances is lingering in my mind and now i have a fem!yuu idea with the second years + malleus
ok so the setup is that recently, there have been rumors that a ghost can be spotted dancing the highest balcony of NRC at midnight on specific dates, but it turns out it was just yuu performing a ceremonial dance from her homeworld and the specific dates are the birthdays of her family and friends because she promised to perform for them this year before the black carriage so that dance is her way of sending well wishes to them.
tyyyy
I really need to get more into the Apothecary Diaries. I have the first volume of the manga and I need to get the other volumes so I can get into it all.
This is a fem!Yuu set of drabbles and everything is intended to be platonic (though it can probably be read as romantic if you want). Yuu is a ceremonial dancer in her world, but hasn’t shared that talent with any of the NRC boys. Mostly because she doesn’t think they would get it due to cultural differences.
However, she still wanted to do her best to fulfill the promises to dance that she had made before the carriage took her away. Dancing at birthday parties or coming of age ceremonies, or even for holidays from her world that she doesn’t mention due to how irrelevant they would be in this world. So on those nights anyone could find her on the highest balcony of NRC, dancing traditional dances and humming traditional songs as the moon rose higher in the sky.
So far the few that have seen her just claim they’ve seen a ghost. What else could possibly move in such strange ways in such a strange place? However, these boys decide to take a closer look after spotting the infamous ghost…
(All scenarios are independent except for Jade and Azul’s.)

Riddle
Ghosts were real, that much was a fact. However, Riddle had a strange feeling when he saw the ‘ghost’ that many of his freshmen who had come back after curfew had been whispering about. So he took it upon himself to investigate.
That’s why he found her. She didn’t see him as he watched from the doorway, finishing the dance with complete focus. When she finished, Riddle still didn’t move. Applause felt cheap for what he had just witnessed. He felt like he’d witnessed something sacred. He almost forgot to breathe, as if breath would disturb the majesty that he’d been privy to.
Yuu noticed him as she moved to start packing up to leave, “Oh. I didn’t see you there. Don’t worry Riddle, I’m going back to Ramshackle. I’ll only be a little past curfew.”
He didn’t respond for a moment. She’d just made art in front of his eyes and she thought his biggest thought would be curfew? “What-” Riddle cleared his throat, “What were you doing?”
He noticed that Yuu flushed, “Oh that. Well, it was a dance from my homeland. I’ve done them since I was a kid. It’s-” She took a breath, “It’s my mom’s birthday. I always dance at her birthday parties so-” She forced a laugh, “Man this sounds so dumb – I danced anyway. Like she’d be able to tell that I tried my best to keep my promise to her. She always supported my dancing so it felt like the least I could do. Sorry, I’m ranting.”
Riddle got that bitter feeling that he had started to get when thinking of his own mother. A mixture of childish respect and the pain that she had caused. He had also recently gotten that feeling whenever others spoke of their own mothers, especially the good ones. He almost wondered if it was some sad form of envy.
“It’s alright,” Riddle spoke up, “It was- you’re very talented.”
“You think so?” She moved her hand to try and cover the blush ravaging her face, “I assumed it looked silly to anyone who didn’t know about them.”
“No it’s beautiful,” Riddle let his earnestly do the speaking, "Captivating."
“Thank you Riddle,” She smiled, “That- that means a lot coming from you.”
Riddle let out his own small smile, “I’d like to see more sometime.”
Ruggie
Ruggie was actually looking for Leona when he found you. It wasn’t often that Leona doesn’t make it back to Savanaclaw before nightfall, but sometimes he finds some corner to hide from the world and naps late into the night. So Ruggie was looking for him in every place he could think of.
That’s when he found Yuu. It felt like a scene from a movie. Her movements sparkled under the moonlight. The moon reflecting as she contorted her body in ways Ruggie wasn’t completely aware was possible. He really wished that he could hear whatever music was supposed to accompany the performance, but the tone of her voice as she hummed did have a sweet calming effect that washed over Ruggie like a wave.
He almost didn’t want to interrupt the silence that followed the end of the dance. But he did, “Hey.”
“Ruggie!” Her voice squeaked as she abruptly stitched from the graceful dance to her normal – slightly awkward – self, “I didn’t- Sorry. You weren’t there before.”
“No duh,” He smiled, “Probably would have frozen-up a lot sooner if you’d seen me.”
“I probably looked ridiculous either way,” She began to pack up her things, “It’s just- it’s my best friend’s birthday. Back home. I told her that I’d dance for her ‘cus she had been asking me about my dancing and-”
“You don’t need to explain yourself to me,” Ruggie shrugged, “It was pretty and you looked like you were happy. That’s all I really care about.”
“Oh,” Yuu’s cheeks filled with color, “Cool. Thanks,” she froze, “‘Pretty’?”
“Yeah,” he motioned to Yuu and the moon, “Looked… etherial? I don’t know what fancy people say when they just mean ‘good looking’. But yeah. People would probably pay to see it if you wanted to charge.”
Yuu giggled – of course that was Ruggie’s logic – then she shook it off, “I’m good. But thank you.”
He shrugged, “I’m just being honest.”
Azul
Of course Azul had to investigate the new rumor that had swept through the school. A dancing ghost who would randomly perform for the moon. Some claimed it was a strange ritual for the paranormal while others said it was just a trick of the light. He had sent Jade to investigate it for him, but Jade just smiled and said that this was better discovered himself. Lazy eel.
So here he is, investigating the highest balcony of NRC for the eleventh night in a row. And that’s when he finds her. At first he just heard the humming of some song he didn’t recognize, but when he followed the noise he saw her. Her form in the moonlight as she danced. It was clearly rehearsed, though Azul had never seen anything like it.
First he tried to think of what to do with this knowledge. Hire Yuu to dance for some kinda promotion at the lounge? Maybe.
But for now, he just watched as she finished her routine. Her chest pulsing with breath as she stuck the final move. The moon light bouncing off of the obviously home-made garb. He clapped politely, causing Yuu to freeze and snap into a normal position.
“Azul!” She flushed, “How long have you been there?”
“About three minutes,” he smiled, “Just admiring a performance too good to be free.”
“It wouldn’t have been if I was home,” She mused as she began to pack up her things, “Today’s a holiday back home and I was hired to dance at some rich woman’s party. I’m sure my parents had to refund the money by now. But, I guess I wanted to dance for her anyway.”
“You need to stop doing things for free,” Azul cocked his head, “Someone might take advantage.”
Yuu smirked, “You’d love to be that someone wouldn’t you?”
“I resent the remark,” He feigned offence, “Though I wouldn't mind paying for your talents sometime.”
Yuu laughed, “We’ll see.”
Jade
Azul had asked him to investigate the rumor of the ghost on the highest balcony of NRC. He had assumed it wasn’t a ghost, seeing as none of the normal spiritual inhabitants were dancers in life. In fact, when he saw Yuu he was barely surprised. He just stayed in the dark and watched until the end.
He fought the urge to clap, instead sinking further into the darkness to avoid detection.
Yuu spoke towards the moon, “Sorry this was the best I could do. Hope you still had fun without me.”
The gears in Jade’s mind turned. He didn’t approach, and instead slunk off back to the dorm. He simply told Azul to investigate for himself before making plans. He began to sneak her name into raffles the Monstro Lounge ran. Asking her to taste new recipes Jade cooked. Inviting Yuu to hikes, only smiling when she turned him down.
He couldn’t really tell why he had the motivation to do all of this. It might just be a curiosity of what her reactions could be. It could be he wanted to get closer to her to see if she would admit to her hobby without being prompted. Did he want Yuu to open up to him? Was that what the urge was? To be close enough to be part of her world?
Maybe. Though Jade wouldn’t dwell on it too much. He’d just sneak up to the balcony on occasion to see if you were dancing once again. Then he’d be a silent observer, waiting for the day she’d notice or she’d tell him all about it herself.
Floyd
Floyd was bored. That’s enough to explain why the eel was exploring the school in the dead of night. He’d only vaguely heard the rumors of a dancing ghost, mostly ignoring them because ghosts were boring to him. So that wasn’t even on his mind when he wandered up the long stairs that reached the highest peaks of the school.
Then he found Yuu. Humming along to a song that had only entered Twisted Wonderland though her mind and lips. She danced in the moonlight, reminding Floyd of massive schools of fish as they migrated or circled in the seas. It was enchanting. The movement was unlike anything else Floyd had seen on land, capturing his full attention.
He didn’t even wait for her to finish before he started clapping. It caused the performance to abruptly end with Yuu crashing to the floor from the sheer shock of the sudden sound.
“Oh my God,” Yuu looked up, saw Floyd, then flushed, “I didn’t- How long-? Floyd?”
“Hey shrimpy!” He smiled, his teeth all but glowing in the moonlight, “What’s that dance?”
“It’s nothing,” She answered too quickly, “It doesn’t-” She was going to say ‘matter’ but the word wouldn't leave her lips.
“It looked important though,” Floyd grabbed under her arms and pulled her to her feet, “Like a ritual. You trying to use some kinda magic to get home or something?”
“No, nothing like that,” She was eternally grateful that Floyd had put her down, though she was a little concerned he could pick her up so easily, “It’s a holiday back home and I- I wanted to wish them well. Like I said, it’s nothing to you guys. It’s silly.”
“Nah,” Floyd smiled, “Do it again. It’s pretty. I wanna get a better view.”Yuu flushed but smiled, “Alright. I guess I wouldn’t mind a polite audience.”
Kalim
Kalim had snuck away from Jamil, letting Jamil believe that Kalim was asleep instead of wandering the halls of NRC. Lilia and Cater had told him about a Ghost Dancer who would randomly appear on the highest balcony of NRC. So of course, Kalim immediately snuck out to try and see it. He heard the humming before even reaching the balcony, causing the boy to almost buzz with excitement.
Then he saw her. Not a ghost, but Yuu. Dressed in garb that felt traditional, despite them looking handmade. Dancing like he had never seen her dance. Yuu had always pulled away whenever Kalim asked her to dance with him, so this surprise shocked him to the bone.
He immediately beamed, “Yuu! Why didn’t you tell me you were a dancer?”
Yuu screamed in surprise, tripping over her movement and blinking the focus out of her eyes, “Kalim?”
Kalim didn’t process the squeak in her voice, “Are you okay? That was a big fall.”
“What are- How did-?” Yuu sighed, “I didn’t think anyone would find me up here.”
“Are you shy about your dancing?” He smiled, “You shouldn’t be. It was gorgeous! You’ve got real skill.”
“It’s not really that,” Yuu stood and began to dust off her garb, “I just- it’s traditional dancing where I’m from. I didn’t think anyone else would get it or care.”
“I mean I might not get the significance, but I definitely care,” He smiled and tried to mimic her movements, “You looked so pretty and happy while you were dancing. I wanna see you happy. That’s what I think the point of dancing is.”
Yuu smiled gently, “If you want, I wouldn’t mind if you stay.”
Kalim looked as if you had told him that you cured world hunger, “Please!”
Jamil
He’d gone to look for Yuu at Ramshackle. However, the ghosts said that she was out for the night. This confused Jamil greatly. What in the world could Yuu possibly be doing out so late? The ghosts wouldn’t elaborate and just said to look around the main school building.
So that’s how he found her on the highest balcony. He watched silently from the shadows, watching her movements as the moonlight perfectly complemented her dance. It looked nothing like how Jamil danced, but it didn’t look random either. Everything looked preestablished or routined despite it being something Jamil had never seen before.
He quietly clapped when it was clear Yuu had finished, stepping out onto the balcony.
“Jamil,” She flushed, clearly embarrassed and caught off guard, “I- um.”
“I was looking for you,” He pulled out the envelope that Kailm insisted that Jamil needed to hand it to Yuu directly, “Kalim said you needed this. And the ghosts told me to look for you at the main building.”
“You probably could have left this with them,” She sighed as she took the envelope, “I just asked him what all he used for his makeup and he insisted on making a list. It’s not like I could afford this stuff anyway. I was just trying to make small talk. Those ghosts probably just wanted to embarrass me as a prank.”
“Why would you be embarrassed?” Jamil crossed his arms, “You clearly know what you’re doing and you’re good at it.”
She was somehow even redder than before, “I- It’s a traditional dance from back home. It probably looks like nonsense.”
“It looks like skill,” he smirked, “I would know.”
Yuu looked to the sky, “I just- It’s my Dad’s birthday. Some stupid part of me thought he might be able to know I’m thinking of him if I danced for him. He’s the one who kept telling me I should dance. So I- I did.”
Jamil softened, “I’m sure he loved it.”
Silver
Silver and Sebek had split up to look for Malleus. He earnestly thought that maybe Malleus was on the highest balcony looking at gargoyles or pretending to be one (in his own Malleus way), but then he heard humming and the thuds of feet on stone. Of course, he knew that wasn’t Malleus, but now his personal curiosity had peaked. He snuck closer, one hand ghosting over his wand just in case. But he froze when he saw her.
Yuu was dancing on the balcony. The moonlight reflected off her movements in a way that looked like silver fireflies in the air. Her eyes were closed, or she would have definitely seen him. His own hair bouncing moonlight like a reflective safety vest.
He felt rude for staring, especially since you were unaware. However, his body wouldn’t dare let him interrupt you or move in any capacity. He could feel that he was watching something sacred and vulnerable. He felt blessed as he melted into the hum of her voice and his eyes traced every movement she made. He couldn’t even bring himself to clap when the dance finished, as if the silence was part of the reverence.
She locked eyes with Silver, “Oh!” She quickly moved to a ‘normal’ position, “Silver. When did you get here?”
He could see the embarrassment in her features, “Your dance was beautiful. Is it from your world?”
She was definitely red now, “I um- thanks. It is. It’s a holiday back home so I was wishing everyone well back home.”
“Would it be rude of me to ask to see more?” Silver spoke clearly, but anyone could hear the hope laced in his tone, “I really liked it.”
“I-” she shook off her nerves, “I mean if you want to. I didn’t think anyone would be interested in my dancing. It probably looks ridiculous to people here.”
“It looks enchanting,” Silver smiled gently, “I’m honored to witness your talents.”
Malleus
Malleus is a night wanderer, we know that. It was early in the year that he stumbled onto one of Yuu’s dance sessions. He watched in reverence as she moved to her own song in the moonlight. It looked like a ritual, though Malleus could tell that the only magic behind it was pure talent and skill.
He smiled at his Child of Man. Though a small part of him picked at him, wondering why she had never shared this with him on any of their late night walks. He also wondered if this is why she seemed to randomly turn him down when he would ask to spend their night together. He had initially thought that she was tired, leaving those nights free to sleep from sun set to rise. However, if it was just to come here and dance… He was almost offended to have never been invited.
“Hornton!” Yuu had caught him, “How long have you been there?”
He refocused his mind and pushed down that slightly annoyed feeling, “Child of Man. I’ve been here for only a little while. But I have to ask, is this what you do on nights you turn me down?”
Yuu flushed, “It’s typically a holiday or birthday back home. I know it’s dumb but I come and dance for them. Like my dancing can reach them or something. Like it can show them I miss them.”
“I understand,” Malleus came closer, “What is the occasion tonight?”
Yuu smiled, “My parents' anniversary. Thirteen years of marriage, at least I’m pretty sure it’s thirteen. I should have paid more attention last year. I’m not exactly the best kid.”
Malleus frowned, “Don’t say that. You are wonderful. Honoring your parents with your skills, even when no one is watching. That has a strong value all in itself.”
“Thanks Hornton,” She leaned against his side, “I- I needed to hear that.”
“I wish you had shared this with me, but I understand why you might not have,” He smiled, “But I hope I might be able to see you dance once again.”
Yuu smiled up at him, “Hornton, I would love that.”
hii im craving angst so is it ok if i request the 1st years + the rest of savanaclaw witnessing an argument between Jack and a yuu reader that he views as a younger sibling because yuu is incredibly self-sacrificial and with every overblot, they are getting more and more reckless with their own safety in favor of the others and it's starting to get out of hand.to make it worse, the argument has gotten so heated that both sides are now yelling at each other
I love a cutesy little found family trope and I love some casual angst to go with it! This is a gn!Yuu reader character who has formed a sibling-like bond with Jack after meeting in book 2. The first section is the base argument between the two, but the rest are independent scenarios that show what would happen/how the character would react witnessing the argument. These are all intended to be platonic.
I also am lowkey going to keep preaching my personal headcannon of Yuu being a battle strategist in every battle. I love the idea that the "beastmaster" thing is a quirky way of saying that Yuu is an authoritative force when in battle, both helping and forcing the boys into effective strategy and teamwork. Just taking a lot of small ideas discussed in the prologue and making them more permanently relevant.
Small trigger warning for brief mentions of death. Spoilers for stuff before book 7 (no book 7 material).
TWST Masterlist
Jack (AKA the argument):
Neither of you were aware of what really started it, but now you were borderline screaming. Jack – an unstoppable force – and Yuu – an immovable object.
“You can’t keep-!” Jack was so frustrated his words were mixing in his brain, “You’re putting yourself in danger for no reason! You have to stop.”
“There is a reason,” Yuu crossed their arms, “People I care about get in danger, the overblotter can die, and also sometimes escape isn’t an option. The best thing to do is help and save them.”
“So you’re just going to throw yourself in, over and over again,” Jack sighed, “when you don’t even have magic to protect you.”
Your face hardened, “Is that what this is about? Because you think I’m weak? You think because I don’t have furry powers like you I can’t keep myself safe?”
“What? ‘Furry-’ no!” Jack shook his head as if clearing his mind the same way you clear an Etch-a-sketch, “I just don’t want you getting hurt because you ran into something over your head.”
“So you think I’m not capable?” Yuu took a deep breath, “I have dealt with more overblots than anyone who works at S.T.Y.X or anyone alive in Twisted Wonderland and you think I’m not capable of handling them. I’ve dealt with more problems of epic proportions than anyone in this school. No one is more capable than me at this point.”
“That doesn’t mean you have to keep putting yourself in danger.”
“If I don’t, then who will? It’s not like I’m surrounded by a bunch of selfless angels.”
“Yuu, I swear-”
The argument was definitely going to drag on for hours. Getting more repetitive and definitely petty. Let’s just say they aren’t making up for a little while.
Ace:
Ace is going to keep his mouth shut and slowly try to get away while the two are focused on one another. ‘Cus like, he agrees with both Jack and Yuu respectively and he does not want the chance that someone asks him for an opinion. He does not want one of his best friends or his freakishly-strong classmate mad at him.
He gets Jack’s point, Yuu doesn’t have magic and is kinda the most variable person in any room with an overblot in it, but he’d never think of Yuu as weak. Yuu is the most competent and capable person in basically any room, overblot or not. He knows that any NRC student needs someone they respect to remain calm and direct them to work together. If they didn’t- well Ace had seen how well their basketball games go. It’d be like that. Except people would probably die.
The best bet is to get out of there before making both of them mad.
Deuce:
Deuce doesn't try to leave, but he will try to shrink back and avoid both of their gazes. He’s definitely more on Jack’s side than he’d ever want to admit to Yuu. Like he understands that you being there is a major help in battle. Your strategies and commands have made battles a lot easier and have prevented major casualties. However, he does think that they could probably save overblotters without it. Plus, he does think the benefit of Yuu staying safe is worth the extra work it would take.
However, the idea of saying that to Yuu is enough to make him hide. Yuu is one of his best friends. He wouldn’t want to hurt their relationship. But he also remembers how afraid he was over winter break. How he thought Yuu might die if something happened and Grim would be the only magic they would be able to rely on. How relieved that they were alive.
Jack definitely had a point.
Epel:
He definitely sees both points, but he’s definitely more on Yuu’s side with this one. He got to see Yuu in action during Vil’s Overblot, but their actions during the S.T.Y.X. incident definitely proved to him that Yuu had that under control. Besides, if anyone has learned that strength can come from places you don’t expect, it’s Epel.
Besides, he also knows that Yuu has the weird ability to see the entire battlefield at once. Their brain is more than enough to keep them out of trouble. Especially when their friends are on the line. He’d never doubt your ability to stay safe when he’s seen how you command a field like a head chief in a commercial kitchen. He’d say that you were the most commanding force he’d ever met if he hadn’t met Vil or his own grandmother when she was in a mood.
While he understands the idea of wanting to keep the magicless prefect off the battlefield, he also understands that Yuu is vital to every battle’s success.
Ortho:
Objectively, Jack was correct. Yuu had no magic or effective weapons against overblots. Objectively, no one in this school other than Idia or himself should be battling overblots. No one in the school should have ever encountered an overblot besides himself and his big brother. But they had. And Yuu had left every battle largely unharmed.
Statistically, experience is a good teacher. And Yuu seemed to demonstrate both a talent and skill for tactics. They were also one of the few people in this school that could get people to listen to them at a moment’s notice. Ortho couldn’t identify what caused that, seeing as everyone in the school had such a pride that it would make it impossible to get groups of them to listen to a singular voice without hesitation.
So Ortho was going to refrain from commenting. There was no ‘right’ side. But given the circumstances, he was glad that Yuu had been everywhere they had been.
Sebek:
(Look there’s two ways this can go. It fully depends on if the Prefect has earned his respect or not. I’d like to think the Prefect has earned his respect, so that’s how I’m going to write his entry. But just know he’s 100% on Jack’s side if Yuu hasn’t earned his respect yet.)
Sebek is appalled that your place in battle is being questioned! Yuu is clearly more skilled than most humans Sebek has ever met. The mere idea that their magiclessness is being used to say that they ‘shouldn’t be in battle’ is the most asinine thing Sebek has ever heard! Yuu has a warrior’s experience! They are almost a general in their own right! And Sebek knows for a fact that Silver has been trying to get Yuu to take swordsmanship lessons with him and others. So he knows that even Silver can see that Yuu is a capable warrior in the making.
Besides, Yuu is one of the humans that Lord Malleus has taken a liking to. That proves that Yuu is capable. Sebek is pretty likely to jump into the argument to your defence so you better get everything you wanna say out of the way quickly.
Ruggie:
Honestly Ruggie doesn’t even understand why Yuu is so upset. If someone was giving him an excuse to run away from overblots, he’d take it in a heartbeat. Plus, Ruggie knows that all of Jack’s concerns are coming from his big-old heart. Though he at least understood why Yuu might be mad that their experience and capabilities were being questioned.
He’s not going to get himself involved because he honestly just doesn’t have super strong opinions on the matter. Like, he knows that Jack is right in theory but Yuu is right in practicality. Yuu should try their best to avoid battle situations because they are at a natural disadvantage. However, if they get themselves in the situation they shouldn’t run away because they are honestly everyone’s best chance for survival. He’d seen that first hand.
Ruggie just feels that Yuu should stay near the back of the battlefield if they keep insisting on getting themselves in the situation.
Leona:
First of all, he just wants the two of you to be quiet. And he’ll probably speak up, not giving an opinion and just telling you both to shut your traps. On the surface, he couldn’t care less about your little argument. However, something in the back of his mind did care. Much to his dismay. Granted, he doesn’t feel he has too much say in all of this. Since he was one of the overblots in question.
Generally speaking, he thinks Jack’s points are valid. Yuu shouldn’t be throwing themselves into danger. Yuu should be more cautious, because experience doesn’t always overcome natural disadvantages. However, he disagreed that that was what Yuu was doing. He has seen Yuu’s natural talent in battle. He recognized the look Yuu got whenever a threat appeared. The look like the landscape before them was a chessboard and the people were game pieces. He would get that look whenever he actually tried. It took effort, he had to turn on the effect. But Yuu would do it automatically.
So who knows who he ‘agreed with’. They both were half-right in their own ways. He just wanted to get back to his interrupted dream.
(So sorry everything took so long, writer's block has been kicking my butt. I have like 4 other asks lined up so I'm hoping to get those out soon!)
hallobattle scar yuu requester again! may i request deuce with a fem yuu as the scene where stark accidentally asks fern out on a date from frieren? I recently watched the 2nd season and that part has me in a chokehold cuz it reminds me of the crosship between deuce and my other wuthering waves oc. if its possible maybe some platonic/famillial jack howl who views yuu like a younger sister in the mix where both yuu and deuce go to him for advice cuz i like to rope him into silly situations
I’m going to be honest, I had to look up that scene and watch it just because I haven’t personally seen Frieren. I don’t know what it is, but I just haven’t really had the motivation to consume new media (like shows or movies) lately. The most new stuff I’ve watched lately is a few episodes into the 2nd season of Dandadan and like 2 episodes of the live action One Piece and that’s just because I watch those shows with my boyfriend.
But I can definitely write a slightly awkward and stiff mimi-confesson scene! Both characters are 16, and this is definitely written to be romantic between Deuce and the reader. The reader also has a faux-familial relationship with Jack. This is a fem!Yuu fic.
Hope you like it!
TWST Masterlist
Yuu was in trouble. Mostly the fact that since she realized that she had a crush on one of her closest friends she hasn’t been able to act normal around him. Not in the slightly awkward, nervous energy, and stumbling over words way. More like in the being cold, not talking, and kind of mean way. It’s not like she wanted to give Deuce Spade the cold shoulder, but every time she tried to talk to him her mouth would clamp shut like a mountain cabin in an avalanche. Which was immensely awkward when she spent like 80% of her time with Ace and Deuce on the daily. She had to keep coming up with excuses to skip out on hangouts or spend lunch somewhere else, making everyone think that she was slowly losing what little sanity she had left.
So then we come to today, a weekend day of leaving Grim and the Ghosts at Ramshackle while she hid from everyone in the forest. Everyone except Jack Howl. Jack would do his exercises by the lake in the woods while Yuu read. Then when he was done, the two of you would go get lunch before relaxing or doing homework together. At least that was the normal routine. Today in particular, Jack was doing his exercises while Yuu complained about your predicament.
“I’m such a jerk!” Yuu flopped onto her back, “It’s so obvious that something’s up with me. But I can’t help it! He’s just so… ugh! And I’m afraid I’m going to say something that will let it slip and then the next thing I know I can’t say anything. I was fine before! Why did I have to realize that he’s like- the best part of my day. Or that I think it’s cute that he wants to be a good student to make his mom happy. Or that it’s kinda super attractive when he goes all protective gangster mode. Or that-”
“Can you stop? I’m trying to focus,” Jack stood up from his squat, “It’s also just kinda weird hearing you talk so in depth about why you ‘like’ my friend and teammate.”
“It’s not weird,” she sighed, “It’s annoying.”
“It’s kinda weird to me,” Jack moved to begin pushups, “I mean- I don’t wanna think about you being all ‘romantic’ with a guy. Let alone a guy I know.”
Yuu glared, “Would you rather I date someone you don’t know?”
He didn’t even hesitate, “I’d rather you not date.”
“Jack!” she scowled.
He smirked, “You wanted me to be honest.”
Yuu stood and sighed, “I’m going to go get water.”
“Good,” Jack kept working out, “Save my ears.”
You walked away, “Jerk.”
Deuce was in trouble. The girl he had the biggest crush on was giving him the silent treatment. She would be completely fine around Ace or anyone else. But seemed to completely shut down when he entered the room. It was driving him nuts.
“I don’t know what to do Jack,” Deuce spoke as the two warmed up to run, “Does she hate me? Did I do something? She won’t talk to me. She barely looks at me these days. How am I supposed to confess to her if she won’t even-”
“Can you stop?” Jack groaned, “She’s basically my sister. I don’t need to hear you complaining about how much you like her.”
“Can you at least give me some insight?” Deuce got closer, “Has she said anything?”
“No,” Jack lied, but he didn’t want anything to do with this, “Now can we focus?”
Safe to say, Deuce was unfocused the entire meet.
And then the worst happened. And by worst, it meant just scary from an anxiety standpoint.
What was originally going to be a Heartshackle hangout became just Deuce and Yuu thanks to Ace and Grim getting a last minute detention. So now the two sat in the Ramshackle lounge, trying to not show how awkward this all was.
“Yuu?” Deuce spoke for the first time in like an hour, "Did something happen?”
“No,” Yuu answered way too fast, “Nothing is weird. It’s all… good.”
Silence filled the room once more.
Deuce stood up, “We need to do something. Fix this. Let’s go out.”
Yuu’s face burned, but she pushed it down, “Like a date?”
The words left her mouth and Deuce lit aflame. I mean I’d love to go on a date with you if you’re okay with it being a date, he thought as a furious blush covered his cheeks.
“Yeah,” The word left his mouth before he could choke it down.
He was fully expecting her to yell or slap him. Here she was, clearly upset at him for whatever reason and he was going to choose now to ask her on a date? It was a guaranteed way to fail.
But then she smiled a little. Then he noticed the red on her ears and cheeks.
She finally spoke, “I’d like that.”
AN: Forgive me for this being a little short. Motivation is non-existent for whatever reason. I hope you like it anyway!
Hello! I have returned with more battle scar Yuu thoughts with the 3rd years!!!!
So yk when they find out about Yuu's bg/relation to the military (her dad being a general and all) , at some point yuu gets asked why she took up arms in the first place despite being so young and yuu just looks them dead in the eye and says: "That's what all the adults told me to do." and she just went along with it even though she never really liked fighting or heard what her dad had to say about it. Eventually it becomes abundantly clear to the 3rd years that those adults were just trying to turn Yuu into a child soldier
(bonus if some of them have a little beef with Yuu's dad for being neglectful afterwards)
Yay! More casually traumatized character writing! I also am a huge fan of the found family trope, so the third year adopting this child is very much up my alley.
Headcannons are going to be grouped by boys with similar reactions. The characters will be listed at the top of each section. These are platonic, and the Yuu character is a minor!female. Light warning for mentions of scars, battles, child soldiers, ect..
TWST Masterlist / Part 1
Yuu had gotten really comfortable with her chosen third year. She’d spend time with them, recently mentioning her scars, her times on the battlefield back home, or just the war in general. Of course, the third year boy would wonder what in the world someone as young as you was doing anywhere near a war. So when he asked Yuu why she was near the fight and she replied "That's what all the adults told me to do," while looking them dead in their soul, let’s just say he had opinions.
Trey, Cater, Vil
These boys would be the most horrified. He’s so disconnected from the ideas of global wars or monsters that the concept that a child would end up in battle. And he thought that having to deal with the overblots was bad for you. He’d try not to panic – as to not cause you any distress – but he’d definitely begin over compensating. Making or buying her sweets, or just buying little things that she clearly expresses she wants. Making sure that she gets good meals, nothing like what she described having to eat in war.
He’s also furious at all of the adults in your old life. None of them should have let you even hear about the hardships of war, let alone let you be a part of it. Part of him is relieved that you were brought here and Sevens know that he will try his best to keep you in Twisted Wonderland. He doesn’t want any chance that you’d have to suffer anymore if you go back.
But that’s a conversation he’d wait to have with you.
Leona, Rook, Idia
These boys are horrified, but they also kinda understand. Responsibility can often be placed on a child from the moment of birth. It’s common but cruel. Their biggest priority would be letting you be comfortable and open with them. Not necessarily spoiling her, but making sure she has anything she could possibly need.
He might understand the circumstances, but that doesn’t change the fact that he hates everyone that had a hand in giving her that destiny from a young age. While part of him thinks that the best thing would be for you to stay here where you can be safe and happy, the other part understands that there’s also reasons she might need or want to go back.
But every part of him knows he’s going to help and protect her as much as he possibly can.
Malleus, Lillia
I love these two, but let’s be honest. They might see that it is wrong to put a child in an active battle, but they probably think the battle tactics and other skills are developmentally appropriate. Either one of them would probably take it upon themselves to help you practice your battle skills. Lilia would especially be able to talk with her and help her process any little traumas that affect Yuu’s daily life. Neither of them would make a big deal out of it, letting you process and exist at your own pace.
He understands that circumstances dictate a child’s life, and he’s not even upset at the adults in your lives. He doesn’t agree with the position you were forced into, but he also understands that she is capable. He won’t coddle her, but he’ll always treat her with kindness and respect.
hi there! so we all know how twisted wonderland is literally a different world - our countries and culture don't exist - so i've been thinking...... if yuu/mc was a memester, they have lost their status.
they keep referencing things that don't exist, saying things like 'she eben on my nezer till i scrooge' and everyone looks at them like they're insane bc that meme does not exist in twisted wonderland. they try to rickroll ace and realize that the song doesn't exist here, and even if it did, does thsi world even have the concept of a rickroll??
ace and deuce look at each other in concern as yuu loses their mind more and more as all of their jokes fall flat
I’m probably a bad person to do this request because I am not a memester by any merit. So forgive me for using old vines for this request, I think they are iconic and I’d lose like 1/8th of my humor if I couldn’t reference these in daily life. (Told you I’m not a memester.) My early gen Z is showing. (I’m like 21.)
Just some gn!Yuu scenarios, fully platonic, and totally cringe. But cringe is dead so it’s fine. (The last one is a little different from the others.)
Also I don’t generally swear in these posts because I tend to match ‘vulgarity’ and ‘maturity’ to the same level as the media itself. Like I’ll curse in a fic if the media curses, ect. But because a lot of these vines curse, there will be cursing in this post. I’m sure basically everyone is okay with that (because I’ve seen the internet), but I wanted to warn you just in case.
TWST Masterlist
The first time this happened was when Yuu was trying to read the list of tasks Riddle had assigned Ace and Deuce so the two could get a headstart. Yuu had left Grim in the hands of the ghosts, telling them that he was required to study. So Yuu had decided to be an accountability buddy for their two best friends. However, Riddle’s handwriting was in cursive.
This left Yuu stuttering and correcting words as they said them. Mostly because they couldn’t read cursive.
“Clean the stools? Stalls. He wrote stalls,” Yuu sighed, “Hi, my name’s Jered, I’m 19 and I never fucking learned how to read.”
Ace froze, “Excuse me?”
“What?” You looked over at the confused redhead, “You know-” you motioned vaguely, “The Vine?”
Deuce stopped what he was doing, “I’ve only heard of plant vines. I’m assuming that’s not what you were talking about.”
“Oh my God,” You groaned, “You don’t know what Vine is,” Yuu then buried their face in their hands, “I can’t be funny anymore. You know, it’s little stuff like this that people leave out of the Isekais. And it’s that same stuff that kicks you in the ass,” They sat down the note, “I’m gonna go get some air.”
As soon as they left, the two boys looked at one another.
“What the hell were they talking about?”
A day of mourning had passed, and then Yuu forgot why they were upset. Weeks later, Yuu sat at lunch with Ace, Deuce, Grim, and Epel.
“They are driving me nuts!” Epel was in the middle of complaining about his prissy roommates, “They keep fussing over my looks and the sheets. One of them tried to change my damn pillowcase to a silk one while I was at Spelldrive club!” He sighed, turning to Ace and Deuce, “You two are so lucky to be roommates. I’d kill to live with you guys instead.”
Yuu spoke like a goddamn sleeper agent, “Oh my god, they were roommates.”
The boys looked at you. Epel tilting his head, “Yeah. You knew that.”
“Oh my god,” Yuu slammed their head on the table the moment they realized that – once again – no one knew what the hell they were talking about, “I’m going to… bake cookies.”
Yuu rose from their seat and started heading toward the door, leaving Grim to eat the rest of their lunch.
Epel looked at the Heartslabyul boys, “What in tarnation are they-?”
“We don’t know,” Ace sighed, “They got like this a few weeks ago. No clue why.”
“Aparently,” Deuce finished eating the sandwich in his hand, “It has something to do with a ‘vine’. I don’t know.”
Trying to study with Ace, Deuce, Grim, and Jack was always a task. Jack and Deuce would be trying their best to get as much work done as possible, while Ace and Grim tried to get everyone off task. Really the only thing that determined whether the group was productive or not was how Yuu felt in the moment.
This time, Grim tried to distract by making really bad paper airplanes and throwing them at the rest of the group.
One of them hit Yuu square in the face, “Alright, whoever threw that paper, your mom's a hoe.”
Silence filled the library. Yuu smiled, thinking about how seamlessly you made that reference.
But then Grim spoke up, “I’m pretty sure I don’t have one of those.”
Oh shit. No Vine. Goddamn it.
Jack looked up, “Well you probably do have a mom, you just don’t remember her,” Jack turned to you, “I get he was being annoying, but it’s got nothing to do with his mother’s… activity of choice,” Jack cleared his throat, “If anything you should blame her for being absent in her son’s life.”
Yuu sighed, “I waste my best material on you people.”
Ace waved it off, “You’ve gotta stop being weird.”
Yuu was going to bang their head through a wall.
Months passed and Yuu found themselves on a bus going into town. They had left Grim with Ace and Deuce, hoping for a peaceful day without NRC shenanigans. But then Yuu ran into Ortho and Sebek at the bus stop. It was an odd pair that somehow became an odd trio. The three began talking about classes and whatnot, only to be interrupted by Yuu noticing something out the window.
“‘Road work ahead’?” Yuu smiled as they read the sign, “I sure hope it does.”
The two boys stared at Yuu. Silence.
“Oh right, you guys-” Yuu was interrupted by a laugh.
Sebek had looked out the window, saw the sign, and laughed after processing the words, “That was rather funny, human. You have good wit.”
Suddenly Yuu was rejuvenated. Sebek might not have gotten the reference – and Ortho was staring at both of them like they were weird – but he thought it was funny. Sebek thought that Yuu were funny. Instead of the normal dread and despair Yuu had felt whenever making a reference before, they felt vindicated in their comedy. This was a good day.
Maybe Ace and Deuce were the problem.
Ace and Deuce had come over to Ramshackle for movie night. It was a pretty common occurrence that the two would grab bargain bin movies and bring them with snacks. Spending the night away from rules, and watching a bunch of old movies in the process. Tonight, Deuce had brought the selection, now pulling all the movies from his bag to try and figure out which one to watch.
“What about this one?” Deuce pulled one out and showed it to the room.
Yuu didn’t have much of an opinion, since they had no clue about any movies in this world, “It looks okay I-”
“No way dude,” Ace smirked, “That movie is such a mousetrap.”
All of a sudden, Deuce burst out in laughter, “Oh my Sevens, it is a mousetrap!”
“What?” Yuu looked at Grim like he was going to give insight, but the weasel-cat was just as confused, “‘Mousetrap’?”
The instant you repeated the word, the two boys were in hysterics. There was no way you were going to get an explanation anytime soon.
Can I get a gn Yuu who’s gotten scars from the overblot incidents. Like nobody realsies it until they see a picture of Yuu from the start of the year and then notice how their arm has a Scar form a deep slash from Riddle , their cheek is slightly messed up my the absolute battering sand from Leona ect ect and to make it worse they have troubles with their back or shoulder form time to time from gwtting launched by Jamil or smth (to make it even more angty they notice how Yuu has deep mental scars too that has only gotten worse by living in the shithole that is ramshackle like tensing when Jamil gets irritated by Kalim or getting supper attentive whenever they start complaining about things that were also reasons they overblotted )
Idk I just think it would be interesting since it’s just another thing to show how human they are and how little they’ve been allowed to have a moment to fuckint breathe through all of this and now they have living proof of how badly Yuu has just been mistreated
Idc who you use I just love this idea
For something like this, I got to use the Heartshackle trio! They would totally be able to overlook changes to Yuu since they see Yuu so much. It’s basically like how flipbook animation works. If you are there to see every frame, then it looks seamless and you might not even realize how it’s ‘moving’, meanwhile if another person just sees every fifth frame, then they will notice how dramatic the changes are.
This is a gender neutral Yuu reader, and all scenarios are meant to be platonic. I’m only going to talk about stuff from books 1-6 because I haven’t started book 7 yet (Don’t worry, I will soon lol).
Trigger warning for scars, flinching, and general trauma. Light Angst.

Ace:
Ace noticed your change in behavior. Of course he did. Ace was the type who wouldn’t say anything or act like he noticed, but he’d observe and make minor changes to try and help. He’d make an effort not to yell, instead just speaking sternly when Grim or Deuce made him mad. He’d place himself between people you were clearly uncomfortable around. Or he’d do physical labor that clearly hurt you after fights.
However, it wasn’t until Cater posted a #ThrowbackThursday that featured the very first selfie Cater had forced Ace, Deuce, Grim, and Yuu into that Ace was able to notice how different Yuu looked. The only thing that Ace had really noticed was the large scar that one of Riddle’s rose bushes had carved into Yuu’s shoulder during his overblot. Earnestly Ace knew that Riddle held more guilt for that scar then for his actions leading to the overblot.
But it wasn’t until comparing Yuu – sitting on the Ramshackle couch and playing one of the games Idia had given them – to the photo on his phone that he noticed the other things. Like another small set of scars on Yuu’s back where one of the tweels had knocked Yuu into some coral and rocks when fighting in the coal sea, or a few small scars from Azul’s suckers that held onto Yuu for far too long, far too tightly.
Ace’s stomach twisted. What had he not noticed? What could he have prevented? Yuu always seemed like they were in control and unaffected by all that had happened. But looking at them, that seemed like a lie designed to make everyone else feel okay. What else might they have been carrying without even telling their closest friends?
Ace was determined to find out.
Deuce:
Yuu had asked Deuce to help you sort photos. Creating four piles: For Crowley, For the NRC Paper, Keep, and Trash. It’s there that he noticed that there weren’t many pictures of Yuu, and the ones that did exist ended up in the Trash pile by your own hand. He picked one up and looked at you. No wonder you didn’t like the picture, it looked nothing like you anymore.
It didn’t show how rough the skin on your forearms had become from the relentless battering of sand from Leona, followed by the impacts of the spelldrive disk and Yuu themselves hitting the ground when Grim’s ‘special move’ went badly.
It didn’t show the remains of chemical burns left on your hands from Vil’s poison after it was only given the instruction to destroy. Or the callouses on your hands after countless hours spent trying to single-handedly repair your dorm to a glory you had never witnessed, only to have the dorm destroyed in an instant.
The photo in his hand showed Yuu at their most relaxed. A day after they had gotten a good night’s sleep and a good meal. Deuce knew that money was tight for Yuu and Grim, and you tended to prioritize the little black hole, so a good meal was harder for you to come by. As if on cue, he heard your stomach growl. You coughed to try and cover it up, but it was futile.
The next photo he picked up was himself while he was in The Culinary Crucible. The photo was rough, probably not good enough to go in any pile other than the ‘Trash’, but it sparked inspiration. Deuce was going to cook you a good meal, only inviting you to try it. He’d just say it was practice for when he was going to make the recipes for his mom.
Yeah. Deuce was going to do something to make you smile.
Grim:
Grim didn’t really notice by looking at you. He noticed in the little ways. How you now had to take breaks when doing work that strained your shoulder because you had landed on it wrong when Jamil had thrown you and the others across the Scarabia. Grim had wondered why you hadn’t gone with Jamil when he went to get medical care, but he hadn’t said anything because of the way you avoided Jamil’s gaze like you were afraid that he’d try to take you over again at any moment. You still wouldn’t look Jamil or Jade in the eyes.
Most nights you would stay awake, as if you were afraid of waking up somewhere new again. But the nights that exhaustion took you over, Grim would sneak up onto your bed. He sees the scar he left on you and starts rubbing against it like he was trying to erase it.
Yuu hadn’t gotten any visible injuries from Idia’s overblot, but Grim could tell it had affected Yuu from little reactions and moments. How they would hug Grim longer than before. How they tended to spoil him more than before. How he’d find Yuu staring at the wall that S.T.Y.X. had blown apart like they were afraid Ramshackle was going to collapse once again.
Grim was glad that his human was so strong, but he wished they didn’t have to be.
Hi!! How are you feeling? I have a really weird question, but I really, really want this. Basically, this is the reaction of the guys from Twisted Wonderland, Overblot, to the fact that a couple of teenagers younger than them were brought to their college. They are very aloho, and their upbringing is not good, but as a kind headmaster, Crowley, decided to give them a second chance, and BFL is confident that his students will be able to re-educate them (he only needs this for the college's reputation), but among them, the smart, quiet one turns out to be the dumbest.<3
Аnd I use Google translate. Sorry
It’s all good! From what I understand, this is an AU where multiple Yuu!Characters were summoned instead of just one. This would be a pair of 13-14 year olds (I’m gonna call them Yuua [girl – 14] and Yuun [boy – 13]), who were little rebels and didn’t really try in school back in their world. The two siblings can’t help but cause trouble wherever they go. So Crowley decides to let one of the housewardens take care of the two until they get on their feet. Everything is platonic/familial, with different characters focusing on different Yuus. Hope you enjoy it!
Potential warning for mentions of parental neglect.

Riddle Rosehearts
Riddle was determined to knock these two into shape. He enforced rules, created study groups, and structured every element of their days. Though he was much more lenet than his mother had been, he deemed that he had struck a good balance. However these kids drove him up a wall. Yuua kept running away from the tasks Riddle would give her, calling him a nerd while ducking into cracks and crevices.
Then there was Yuun, the quiet boy who always listened to what Riddle asked of him. However when Riddle checked his work, it was the most horrific thing Riddle had ever seen. It was like the kid could only read like every third word and had just guessed based on that. He answered “9x15” with “Michigan”. What in the Sevens’ names is a “Michigan”?
When Riddle broke down, wondering what he could be doing wrong, Yuua stopped avoiding him and actually sat next to him. She placed her hand on his arm and started humming a lullaby. He slowly stopped crying, instead focusing on the girl who was more still than he had ever seen her.
“I didn’t mean to make you cry. I just didn’t-” She wouldn’t look at him, “I’m not smart. There’s no point in trying. I did and it just made everyone else think I’m even dumber. Plus, I don’t like having everything planned out like you do it. I’d rather just know what all I need to get done and when to have it done by. I didn’t want you to be sad. I just meant to make you give up on me like everyone else. Maybe give Yuun some slack because he wasn’t as bad as me. I’m sorry.”
Riddle looked at the young girl. She was staring at her feet, knees pulled into her chest. She almost looked defeated, as if she was prepared to be yelled at. But Riddle also realized that you had given him all the information he needed to move forward.
“It’s okay,” Riddle took a breath, “Can we work together from now on? Please?”
She sighed, “Okay.”
Leona Kingscholar
Leona basically shoved the job onto Ruggie. However, that quickly dissolved into Ruggie running after Yuua while Yuun sat at Leona’s side doing a bunch of general education worksheets that Professor Trien had printed out for the two teens. Leona cracked an eye open to see Yuua climb up one of the trees in the botanical garden while Ruggie tried to get her down. She blew a raspberry at him in response.
Leona’s gaze then drifted to the young boy. He had his tongue sticking out in concentration as he glared at the words on the page. It was clear Yuun was trying to answer everything to the best of his ability, but he simply didn’t know the answers.
“Kid,” Leona watched as the boy flinched at the sudden voice beside him, “What’s up with your sister?”
“Oh,” He didn’t look up from his work, “She’s trying to avoid doing schoolwork because it makes her feel stupid. And then people stop respecting her when they find out that she’s dumb. I don’t care because people never respected me so I don’t have anything to lose. Besides, she thinks that if she takes the adult’s attention then they won’t notice that I take a long time to answer questions. She told me to stop trying because the words give me headaches, but I wanna at least become a little smarter. I don’t wanna be stupid forever.”
“‘Words give you headaches’?” Leona opened his other eye, “Kid you aren’t stupid. If anything it sounds like a reading disorder.”
“Yeah,” He wrote down an answer on the page, “Stupid. Broken. Same thing. Like our teachers said.”
Leona sighed, “You wanna play a game, kid?”
“I have to-”
“The worksheet can wait,” Leona pulled out a chess set he had stashed away, “Play with me and I’ll help you with the papers.”
“Um,” Yuun hesitated but eventually put the papers aside, “Okay.”
The kid wasn’t the best chess player by any means, but he wasn’t the worst Leona had ever seen. The big thing was that the kid got better over time. Leona got him to play game after game, and each game had steady improvement in thinking skills. Leona smiled, thinking that for a ‘broken’ kid he seemed pretty capable.
Azul Ashengrotto
Honestly Azul feels he has this under control. Floyd is good at keeping up with Yuua – who keeps running and avoiding work – and Jade sits with Yuun while the kid struggles to get through a short story. Hours passed with this while Azul sat doing the accounting for the lounge.
Eventually Yuua approached Azul, “Are you not going to try and get me to do the worksheets?”
Azul shrugged, “I told Floyd to do it. Did he get bored and give up?”
“Yeah,” Yuua sat down near Azul, “It was fun for a while though. He never yelled like the others so I actually got to enjoy running around. Plus I really liked when he caught me. He didn’t hit me, it just felt like a hug. But like- a big one.”
Azul let out a curt laugh, “You say that like it’s a good thing.”
“It is,” She pulled his knees to her chest, feet on the seat, “I’ve never really had a big hug. Only the little ones I can get from Yuun. Adults don’t ever like me enough to hug me. They mostly just yell and hit. Because I’m a bad kid. And bad kids don’t get good attention. They only matter when they need to be put in their place.”
Azul froze, “Who told you that?”
“Our Mom,” She began tracing patterns on her knees, “Before she gave up and left us. Then Dad after he gave up and started ignoring us.”
Azul set down his papers, “I’m going to get you something to eat. Then we can work on the worksheets together.”
“Ew,” she scrunched up her face, “I don’t want to do the worksheets.”
“Well too bad,” Azul began to make his way towards the kitchen, “Because I’m not giving up on them.”
Jamil Viper
Okay so it was supposed to be Kalim watching the two kids, but Jamil immediately took over the operation. Or at least he tried to. Yuua was too much for him. She had driven him up a wall, leaving him defeated and Yuua with still more energy to burn. So Jamil decided to give himself a break and let Kalim take Yuua on a carpet ride.
That left him with Yuun. The boy seemed like less trouble than his sister, focusing on his workbook with quiet concentration. So Jamil sat down next to him and looked over his shoulder. He expected that this boy was like him, a child overshadowed by their counterpart assigned to them at birth. Hiding all of the talent and intelligence behind the bold and extraverted nature of the people around them. And then he looked at Yuun’s answers.
“What tool can be used to measure distance?” The kid wrote: Football fields.
Jamil wanted to punch something.
“Yuun?” Jamil spoke softly, but the kid still jumped, “Can you explain this one to me?”
“Oh,” the boy looked guilty, “I saw the words ‘measure distance’ so I just put down how Dad measured distance. He said that he’d just be two football fields away from the trailer at the bar. So we could walk over and get him if we are in danger, and we wouldn’t need to call authorities.”
Jamil thought about football fields (soccer fields for us Americans), and thought that that wasn’t too horribly far (the kid was talking about American football fields – substantially bigger) but the authorities comment was worrying. Something about it made him feel like it was somehow connected to the grip that stupidity had on this little teen.
“Let’s start over on the worksheet,” Jamil took a breath, “I’ll try reading the questions to you.”
“Oh,” The boy smiled, “Thank you.”
Vil Schoenheit
The instant that he saw how much energy Yuua had, Vil decided to start reforming her by teaching her discipline in the form of dance. He sent Rook to teach Yuun survival skills, then focused on the young girl. She refused the ballet outfit and shoes that Vil had prepared for her and instead just kept running around the ballroom.
“Why won’t you just try it?” Vil was cold (emotionally) and frustrated, “I’m trying to teach you poise and discipline.”
“I don’t need that stuff,” Yuua crossed her arms, “discipline just means doing what adults tell you to, even if they’re wrong. Even if they’re selfish. And poise just makes people think you’re stuck up. It’d just make me even less lovable.”
Vil’s eyes widened, “Excuse me?”
She gave a mischievous grin, “You’re excused,” she ran off to the other side of the room.
Not only was Vil appalled that Yuua had misunderstood what he meant by ‘discipline’ – confusing it with ‘obedience’ – but he was appalled with how she had worded it all. The wording made him worry about who might have been ordering her around before, the punishments they could have given this stubborn girl. Though what saddened him was her use of the term “even less loveable”. Had love been withheld from her back home? Is that why she acts out? To get attention?
“When I say discipline,” Vil spoke calmly, but clear and loud, “I mean a sense of ambition. Drive to make yourself better for your own gratification. A confidence in your own ability that surpasses a need to cater to others.”
The girl stopped, “I’m already confident.”
“No,” Vil gave a small smile, though she wasn’t facing him, “You just pretend you are. I mean real confidence. A confidence that comes from competence. I’m not going to give it to you, but I’m giving you the opportunity to get it for yourself.”
“By listening to you,” Yuua turned to face him, “by catering to you.”
“By giving yourself a chance,” Vil smiled, “I promise that I’ll only request the necessary things. Nothing more, nothing less.”
She stared, but eventually took a breath, “Fine.”
Idia Shroud
Idia tried to push all the work off of himself, but then Ortho volunteered the two of them. Apparently he wanted to try being a ‘big brother’. Which was stupid because physically speaking the two Yuus were the same age as Ortho, if not a year or so older.
Now Idia was stuck with Yuun while Ortho was with Yuua. Luckily she was a fan of Ortho’s methods of teaching – highly physical activities that taught while heavily disgising themselves as games – but the boy said that he wanted to learn, refusing the games to focus on studying. Idia handed over one of his old tablets after quickly downloading a bunch of learning apps. Letting the little boy sit in his bed while Idia himself sat at his desk.
Hours passed and Idia took off his headphones for a moment after winning a match in his game, only to hear the soft symphony of quiet crys. His eyes widened as he glanced back at his bed. Yuun was on the bed, tapping at the tablet as he tried to hold back the tears that had already breached his eyes. Part of Idia wanted to pretend he never saw it and let the kid deal with it on his own, but Idia did – sadly – have a heart.
“Hey,” Idia sat on the end of the bed, “What’s- Are you okay?”
The boy looked terrified, frantically trying to hide his tears, “I’m not crying. I’m sorry. Please don’t-”
“I’m not upset,” Idia knew he was kinda scary looking, so he tried to be as gentle as possible, “I’m just checking in on you.”
“I-” Yuun looked at the screen, defeated, “I’m sorry. I’m wasting resources by trying to be smart. I need to just accept that I’m stupid.”
“Woah,” Idia’s head was swimming, “What makes you think that?”
The kid turned the screen around to show that he had gotten every question on one of the program’s tests wrong. The bright red was blinding.
“My head really hurts,” Yuun looked away, “I can’t read. It hurts. I- I can’t be smart no matter how much I try. I’m just born to be stupid like politicians and people who repost ‘facts’ on the internet without actually researching to see if it’s right or just something someone made up.”
“Seems smart to me,” Idia mumbled then cleared his throat, “Look, maybe you’ve just got something messing with your head. Let me-” He took the tablet, messing with the settings to make the text bigger and then enabling the ‘read for me’ program that Idia used to multi task, “Try listening instead of reading. Maybe that will help.”
The little boy smiled a little, “Thank you Mr. Idia.”
Malleus Draconia
Malleus was thrilled to spend time with the children. Especially since most children he had met were terrified of him, but these children of man seemed to have no fear. But they weren’t brash either. No matter how energetic Yuua was, she never attempted to grab at his horns or anything. She just ran around, trying to avoid the work that Trien had given the two children and the work that Sebek wanted from the children.
Lilia sat down with Silver and Yuun, working on the papers. It seemed like Lilia was reading the questions for the boy, taking notes on his troubles. Sebek was trying to catch Yuua to get her to join the others. However, Malleus knew that look in the girl’s eyes. She wasn’t going to listen to Sebek, especially if he was yelling at her.
“Sebek,” Malleus walked over, “Let me. Go with Silver and Lilia.”
Sebek looked disappointed for a second, but quickly fixed his attitude, “Yes Lord Malleus.”
Malleus was then left alone with Yuua. She stared at him, waiting to see what he was going to do.
Malleus looked to her, “What do you want to do, Child of man?”
“What?” She looked confused, “You’re asking me? You… aren’t going to yell at me to stop running away from my responsibilities or whatever?”
“I see no need to,” He sat down on a log, “You are simply being young while you can. I see no harm in that. Besides, it gives the others an opportunity to assist your brother properly. You can do it later.”
“I don’t want to,” She sat down next to Malleus, staring at her brother and his ‘teachers’, “He still thinks there’s hope for us. That’s why he tries. But I’m older. I know we’re just a future statistic. We’re not going to make anything of ourselves. We’re just- slaves to the hands of fate.”
“I believed that too,” Malleus smiled, sad and wise, “That I too was a slave. But- fate is a fickle thing. Everything can change anything. Like you both being here could be the very thing that changes your fate forever. As long as you accept that change.”
Hey guys! I know I'm behind on asks, but I am trucking through them and should have one out later today!
But I am also here to brag about my pulls today lol.
I wanted both of them so badly! I'm so happy luck was on my side. (I wore some lucky horseshoe earrings so maybe those helped on pulling these Equestrian boys lol)
hi, how are you? can you write about overblot guys, their reaction to the fact that they are in love with the reader, the reader is very beautiful and sweet and immediately attracts attention. but when they are just about to confess, the reader says that he sees them as a good FRIEND. as a friend. and at the same time does not say that he sees them as lovers only as a friend
Damn, you really want the angst don’t you? I’m normally a hurt/comfort writer when I do have angst, but this will probably just be the ‘hurt’ part. I personally will be coping by imagining that the reader does like them back and is just stupid. (But that’s just for my own sanity, it will be written like the reader really only sees them as a friend.)
The reader for these drabbles is gender neutral and is close friends with each of the guys in their respective scenarios. The reader can be Yuu, but it isn’t intended to be. Hope you enjoy it!

Riddle Rosehearts
Riddle had everything set up. A picnic with a bunch of your favorite foods, red roses, and his entire speech planned and rehearsed. It was going to be perfect. When he saw you it took his breath away. You looked beautiful.
“Riddle!” You smiled at the setup, “This is gorgeous.”
He smiled, “Thank you.”
You sat on the blanket and padded a spot for him to join you, “You really are a great friend. I’ve been so stressed lately, a nice scenic picnic with a good friend is exactly what I needed.”
It felt like a cold knife had stabbed into his abdomen. The speech he had prepared completely left him. There was no way he could confess now.
“Yes, I could tell it’s all been a lot lately,” He recomposed himself, “So I thought it would be good to take a break. Like you and Trey always tell me.”
He’d get through the picnic, participating in small talk as normal. However, Riddle’s dreams of being with you were dying slowly.
When the picnic was over and you had left him to pick up the blanket and other supplies, he just broke. All of the emotions over the unofficial rejection bubbled to the surface. He hadn’t even really told you how he felt, but he now knew the answer. He tried to stop the tears from escaping his eyes, but they cascaded much too fast to stop.
He’d just have to get over you. No matter how hard it might be or how long it would take.
Leona Kingscholar
Leona didn’t really want to confess his feelings to you. He already knew how it would go. But he also knew that the clear confirmation that you didn’t like him back would help him move on. It would let him forget you and his own fantasy of being yours.
So he asked you to meet him for chess in the botanical gardens.
You took his breath away when he arrived. The sun reflecting off your skin and creating a halo around you. You felt like a warm fire, cosy and safe. It made him want to melt into you. He wanted to forget about confessing his heart to you and just pull you into the shade to use your lap as a pillow.
Halfway through the game and Leona was almost ready, then you spoke after stealing one of his pieces, “I’m really glad we’re friends. There aren't many people that I can just relax around without feeling pressured to entertain them or talk a bunch. I can just be with you. I know it’s probably nothing special to you, but you really are a great friend to me.”
Leona knew at that moment that not only was he right about you, but there was no way he was going to make a fool of himself by pouring his heart out.
“It’s nothing,” He focused on the game, “Glad you can be grateful.”
Maybe that would be enough to finally move on.
Azul Ashengrotto
Azul had planned a romantic evening that would also be good for business. He had heard you talking with some of your other friends about a meal you were craving, so he had the Monstro lounge make some as a potential new menu item. If you really liked it tonight, then it would probably make a debut on the next menu. And he planned on confessing his feelings to you over your favorite desert, which could potentially become a menu item as well. Two birds, one stone.
You entered the lounge after hours, lights glittering off of you. Azul thought you were his own personal siren, brought to him to bring him down from his podium of profits and return his heart to humanity.
“Thank you for joining me,” Azul smiled and pulled out your chair, “I needed a second opinion on some potential menu items and thought your insight would be valuable.”
“Oh my-” You lit up, “I’ve been craving this for weeks! How did you know?”
“I guess I just have good instincts,” He smiled as he sat in his own chair.
You waited for him to indicate it was time to eat and you took a big bite the moment it was allowed. Azul barely touched his own plate, only eating enough to make proper notes while mainly just watching your reaction to the dish.
“This is perfect Azul,” You smiled brightly at him, “You’re the best friend I could have ever asked for.”
The instant the word ‘friend’ left your lips, the rest of your words reduced to static.
“I’m glad you like it,” The words felt foreign in his mouth, like he wasn’t speaking them of his own idea, “The recipe is perfect for the lounge.”
“Well I know that I’ll definitely come back for it,” You took yet another bite.
Azul left the idea of confessing to you behind. You had seemed so happy with your friendship with him, he wasn’t going to ruin it for you. Especially when you looked so cute and happy. At least you liked the food.
Jamil Viper
Jamil didn’t really get nervous. He was a realist. He understood that there was a good chance that you didn’t like him the same way that you did. You had only really become friends with him because you and Kalim were friends first. He had hoped that he had proved to you how much he cared and that maybe that was enough for you to give him a chance. That he could distinguish himself as more than just a friend of Kalim’s. That he could make himself seen alone. So he finished making Kalim’s food and setting up his bedtime routine and then he went to your place with ingredients to make the two of you a meal as well.
When you opened the door, Jamil had to remember how to think again. You were already in your pajamas, all cute and cozy. It made his heart skip several beats.
“Hey,” He held up the bags of ingredients, “You want me to make dinner?”
You lit up, “Yes please! I’d be honored.”
He smiled as he followed you inside and began to work. He wasn’t cooking alone because you insisted on helping despite his objections.
“You really are so sweet,” You began to stir the pot as he had instructed, “A perfect friend through and through.”
An icy feeling stabbed into his chest, but he kept chopping, “You don’t need to exaggerate on my behalf.”
You smiled, “I’m not! You’re one of the best friends I could ever have.”
Just a friend. It definitely hurt Jamil’s pride but… at least you were seeing him. As he was. Maybe that would be enough for him.
Vil Schoenheit
Vil was confident as he planned out a spa day for the two of you. Some small catering from your favorite restaurant, face masks, manicures, massages, most of which would be done by Vil himself. Granted he knew you didn’t need the beauty treatments, you had a good routine and lots of natural beauty to boot. However, it was a way for him to show his care and his talents. Plus, it would be fun and relaxing for you.
You lit up when he explained what his plans were, “Vil! That’s so thoughtful! Thank you.”
“It’s nothing,” He secretly preened at the praise, “I just thought you would like it. Plus, if you don’t take time to rest and take care of yourself, you’ll suffer. And I refuse to let you suffer.”
“You’re the best,” You pulled him into a gentle hug, “I’m so lucky to have a friend like you.”
Vil was glad you couldn’t see his reaction. He couldn’t help but deflate. Here you were, holding him, but it was purely platonic. He knew he shouldn’t be upset, you didn’t owe him your affections. However, he was Vil Schoenheit. It was a little surprising that he of all people would hold affections for someone who only saw him as a friend.
He fixed his expression before you could see him, “Alright. Let’s get our spa day started.”
Idia Shroud
Yeah no, Idia had zero plans of confessing. It was Ortho’s plan to invite you over and then leave the two of you alone for hours while you played video games. Idia had half a mind to sneak away himself, but he could tell that Ortho would have planned for that. You were so beautiful and sweet, he could hardly believe you had wanted to spend so much time with him IRL. He could maybe be SR level charming when speaking to you on the tablet or online, but IRL he was a nervous mess.
“Hey Idia?” He tensed at your voice, expecting you to ask to leave or something else, “I just- I can tell you’re nervous. I understand having social anxiety, but I’m your friend. You don’t need to be so worried about me judging you. You should know I already care about my friend.”
Idia felt like he’d been hit by like three different error codes, all kicking him while he was down. He had been hoping for a special event that would lead to a confession, but here you were confirming that he’d be forever romantically alone. Though, at least he wasn’t alone in entirety.
“Thanks,” he smiled as best as he could, though his heart was breaking, “You too.”
Malleus Draconia
Malleus didn’t fully understand the feelings that swam through his chest, however Lilia had called it a “crush”. So he asked Lilia what to do about it. It made late night walks with you feel fuzzy and distracting. Lilia had claimed that the best thing to do was to confess the crush to you and then go from there. So that was the plan. Tell you about his ‘crush’ while going on yet another walk with you.
You talked about your interests with Malleus, noticing he seemed quiet tonight, “I really love these walks with you Malleus. You’re my most precious friend. It means everything to me.”
Lilia had explained to Malleus that having a ‘crush’ was the first step in courting someone, as long as both parties harbored feelings. So hearing you speak so fondly of your friendship with him both worried and comforted him.
Malleus looked at you, stunning in the moonlight, “Would you ever want that to change, Child of Man?”
“Oh no,” your words gripped his heart, squeezing and creating a strange ache, “I always want us to be like this. It’s perfect.”
Malleus smiled, but it was a formality, “I’m glad you are happy.”
“Oh no,” You pointed to the clouds rolling in, “I guess we have to end our walk early. It looks like it’s going to storm.”
hiii if it's alright, may i request some platonic drabbles of the stich event characters with a fem!yuu who was a like a martial artist before falling into twisted wonderland? Also yuu is a bit younger compared to the freshmen (think 13 or 14 cuz i based this yuu off of my wuthering waves oc)
Since the uniforms in NRC are pretty much covered from the neck down so in the stitch event there's a bit of scarred skin peeking out from her clothes on her right shoulder going down the collarbone but when yuu traces down how far the scar actually goes, it's diagonally from her right shoulder all the way down her entire torso. and if she's asked about it, she just goes:
"oh yeah i got this after i snuck onto the frontlines without my dad knowing to help his troops kill off monsters and one of said monsters almost killed me. Not one of my best decisions really."
I really like the casually traumatized trope. it also explains why yuu always defends her chest and torso area during the overblot fights on reflex
If you can’t tell, I am also a fan of casually traumatized characters. (Shoutout to like all of the Mercenary Yuu headcannons and probably some of the other fics and headcannons.) I think it’s really interesting how something that is traumatic can kinda just be someone’s childhood. Like yeah, it’s traumatizing and has a major effect on personality and world view, but also it’s also something that happened in the past. One of my favorite examples is starting a story with something like, “when I was in the hospital…” and that’s not the point of the story. It’s a part of life experience that isn’t always mentioned or highlighted.
Anyway! This is a gn!Yuu who is about 13-14, and has a martial arts background. Yuu also has a large scar that they got in battle. These drabbles/headcannons are 100% platonic or familial with the reader character being so young. This is the first time Yuu has worn anything that really shows the scar.

Lilia:
As soon as the shock of being on an island in the middle of nowhere with no way to escape wore off, smaller shocks were able to come into effect. Lilia had long suspected that there was more to you than meets the eye. He could recognize the look. How your eyes would steel over the moment that you found yourself on a battlefield, he knew the look. Lilia had seen that look in himself and his comrades back in war. But he had convinced himself it wasn’t like that. A child couldn’t know or have the same mental state as a PTSD-riddled warrior or soldier in endless war.
But then he really saw your scar. It had been healed as properly as possible, but that only testified to how brutal the attack that caused it had to be.
Lilia caught you alone while collecting survival supplies with Stich, “Yuu, can I ask you something?”
“Of course!” You smiled, stretching to reach a fruit and unintentionally highlighting the entire expanse of the scar, “Always can. I’m an open book.”
“Where-?” He tried to be gentle in case you were sensitive about the topic, especially seeing as you covered it up on the daily, “How did you get that scar?”
“Oh that thing?” You finally pulled the fruit down, “That’s just from a monster back in my world. Snuck onto the frontlines when I was smaller because I thought I could change the course of the battle. It’s earnestly a miracle that I got out of there alive. Not my best choice,” you laughed as you kept working.
“Ah,” he kept on with his own work, “Makes sense.”
While part of him was surprised by how casual you were about it all, he did somewhat understand. He’d seen how children take serious matters and only process them as part of life instead of tragedy and he’d seen soldiers push back their emotions about battle so they didn’t interfere with civilian life. It wasn’t the healthiest thing, but it was survival for many.
Lilia watched as Stitch nuzzled into you, “If you wanna talk about that stuff, then I’m here.”
“Good to know,” you smiled at him, “Maybe I could show you some of my moves!”
Floyd:
It is well known that Floyd kinda just thinks of things as they come and go, not really concerning himself too much about the details. With everything happening, it wasn’t until you and him went long gathering with some of the others that Floyd even noticed that you had a wicked scar covering your skin.
“Shrimpy!” Floyd interrupted whatever boring thing Riddle was talking about the instant he noticed your scar, “Epic scar, how’d you get it?”
He was laser focused on you, much to the horror of the other boys.
“Thanks!” You smiled, “It’s not really a cool story or anything. I just went to the frontlines and one of the monsters almost killed me. Kinda lame.”
“Ah,” he deflated at your lack of enthusiasm about the scar’s origin, “Too bad.”
And that was literally the end of the conversation. Let’s be honest, the casualness of your response is the only reason that Floyd would lose interest so quickly. If you had made a big deal of it, then he would have been invested for at least 45 minutes.
Riddle:
Riddle was horrified. Not just by the strange situation or the aliens, but by your scar. Earnestly he was chastising himself for never noticing it before. It looked like it had healed properly, but it was enough to make Riddle empathize with whatever pain must have caused it. He had never even seen someone as young as you with a scar in general, especially not a scar that covered so much of your skin.
It wasn’t even him who asked about it – he wouldn’t dare of fear of making you uncomfortable – it was Floyd. He just asked. Brazenly. Riddle felt like he was going to hurl.
But then you just brushed it off. You claimed that you had gotten the scar in battle with monsters and then just… moved on. Riddle would definitely make a promise to himself that he would drop off scar-care supplies and skincare, he’d consult with Vil on what would be best for you, and that he would make efforts to make things easier on you. The scar looks healed enough that it shouldn’t reopen, but he doesn’t want to take the risk.
Riddle already knows that you are handling far too much for your age. (And he knows part of it is his fault.)
Ace:
To be fair, Ace is the only one where your scar doesn’t surprise him in the slightest. He’s not a stranger to your many stories of monsters and battles, and even if he doesn’t completely believe them he still expects you to have a scar or two. The size does surprise him though. Makes the monsters seem way more plausible.
He really doesn't have much of a reaction to it all, just acts as he normally does. Taking care of you like he’s your older brother (a better older brother then his) and making you laugh. Ace would only really have a reaction to your scar if it seemed to be distressing to you. Otherwise my dude is just like “that’s just a part of Yuu.”
Jack:
Jack would definitely pull you aside as soon as he got the chance to ask you about your scar. He needed to know if he needed to defend you from anyone or if he had to take revenge on your behalf. He’d definitely take a super gentle approach in asking, but he’s definitely taking it seriously no matter what.
“So,” he felt his mouth dry trying to be so gentle when choosing words, “Who gave you your scar?”
He thought he must have been gentle enough because you smiled, “Oh, it was a monster. Don’t worry. Honestly it was my fault.”
Before you could clarify, you got called back by one of the others. Jack definitely took ‘monster’ as your way of describing a bad person, probably from your world. He concluded you must have been attacked or something as a child and maybe your parents had sheltered you from the trauma by pretending it was some fantastical beast and not a person.
He would definitely start doing things for you while on the island, trying his best to make you as comfortable as possible. He doesn’t really understand that to you, a scar is just a scar. But he’s got a good heart.
Azul:
Azul does the thing where he doesn’t want to ask you so he’ll try to weasel it out from someone else. The best candidate is Ace, with him being the closest to you.
Ace just shrugged, “Told me she got it fighting monsters in her world. Didn’t say much else.”
Azul’s head was spinning. Monsters like what? Like dire beasts? If so then why weren’t you more cautious of Grim? And if they were monsters worse than the dire beasts then how in the world were you anything close to normal? Maybe they were more like blot monsters.
He’d definitely make plans to interrogate you gently once they get off the island.
Helloooo if it's alright, may I request some drabbles of the housewardens reaction to fem!Housewarden yuu punching the absolute shit out of Crowley Scarlet el vandimion style during a housewarden meeting? Like they have been warned beforehand that something like this could happen by their respective first years but they don't believe it until they see it because yuu usually acts so calm and composed until she politely asks Crowley for permission to beat him to a pulp because she is too tired to give a damn about the consequences.
We love it when Yuu gets the same respect as other housewardens. Because while Yuu might only have one other student to manage, Crowley definitely gives them enough extra responsibility to have the same workload as the other housewardens.
These drabbles will be a fem!Yuu reader and are intended to be platonic (though I am 100% a “Leona likes strong women” truther and that might leak into his blurb). Yuu has officially gained ‘housewarden’ status and has been invited to their first housewarden meeting. Yuu is normally a very calm person, however, their tolerance for Crowley's antics was at an all time low.
(Warning, some are definitely shorter than others. I just had more thoughts for some of the boys than others.)
TWST Masterlist
Setup:
You had wondered what made Crowley suddenly recognize your workload and give you the same respect as the other house leaders, but he made it clear as soon as your very first housewarden meeting started.
“Yuu can keep note of everything said for me since they represent less than 1% of the school’s population,” He smiled under his mask, “though being a housewarden, you will have to participate in creating a school fundraiser and you will be taking on more schoolwide responsibility to go with the title. I expect a full report on all your expenses and the work needed to compensate-”
You felt something in your chest snap. You had been close to the edge all week and this was definitely not helping, “Sir?”
“Yes?” His smile didn’t falter, “Did you have questions about what type of fundraisers are acceptable?”
“I have a question all right,” You rubbed the sleep from your eyes, “Are you going to shut up and stop abusing your power to get me to do even more work for you? Or am I going to have to punch you?”
Crowley’s smile dropped, “Excuse me?”
“Becasue,” You didn’t stop, “With every day, violence seems more necessary."
He tried to save face, “You can’t threaten me to get out of your new duties.”
You took a deep sigh, “Okay.”
Then you socked the headmaster in the face. Earnestly you would have done more if you had the energy.
As gasps filled the room, you walked out. Yelling back, “Don’t stick me with a bunch of extra work when you know that I’m already doing everything for you. Now don’t talk to me for a week. I need to catch up on sleep.”
Crowley immediately dismisses the meeting and goes to nurse his wounds. There’s sure to be consequences later, but he’s too distracted with saving (his) face to worry about that now.
Riddle Rosehearts:
At first he’s horrified. I mean you assaulted the headmaster. That has to be the biggest rule violation he’s ever witnessed. But then he remembers so many conversations with Ace and Deuce. He had assumed they were exaggerating when they claimed that you hadn’t slept or eaten a proper meal in a week because of all the tasks the headmaster had given you around the school. He had assumed that when Ace said that you seemed close to snapping, he was just projecting his own degeneracy on his friend.
But now he could see it. How deep and blue the bags under your eyes were. The calm rage that swept over every action you took. He even understood it in a way. The yearly house fundraiser was always a group effort for Heartslabyul, and Crowley just carelessly dropped the responsibility on your shoulders alone. Sevens knows that he only gave you ‘housewarden’ status so he could get extra funds to offset having to pay you to do all the work that you already do. Though Deuce had claimed that part of your frustrations had been from a severe lack of financial security, with what little funds you had been consistently drained due to Grim’s antics and the spontaneous weekend trips that usually included lots of shopping and dining out.
Maybe you deserve to break the rules just this once. Though Riddle’s fully aware that there will be consequences.
Leona Kingscholar:
Finally something good came out of one of these meetings.
He already knew from Jack that you were strong. Jack would talk to Ruggie about how the two of you had spared and Jack was getting bruises from your hits while he could barely touch you. But seeing you snap and take out your frustrations on the headmaster? Now that was worth getting up for.
He also knew that actions like that were a good way to kick Crowley into shape. Leona was mentally planning on forcing you to take breaks to sleep and eat properly. Probably leaving some thumarks in Ramshackle the next time he snuck over there to avoid Ruggie. Maybe paying the guy to do some minor tasks for you while still doing the minor stuff Leona always dumped on him.
Though for now, he just watched you walk away. Pushing down the swelling pride within himself and pushing down his desires to follow you out of the mirror chamber. He knew he might have to stand up for you once Crowley stopped crying about his face.
Azul Ashengrotto:
Generally, he was horrified. Though the more he thought about it, the more he completely understood. I mean, after his breakdown over his contracts he’d be a little hypocritical of him to write you off as crazy for a small burst of violence.
Though this now explained why he had so many bruises after his overblot. He had just assumed the twins did those. Apparently it was you.
He was earnestly somewhat impressed. Here you were with no advantage yet you took actions to keep your own sanity afloat. Part of him wanted to reward your gusto in the hopes that you would repeat the action. Mostly because it was entertaining to see Crowley clutching his cheek and groveling over how “he didn’t even do anything”.
Maybe he’d just give you a small discount the next time you came into the Monstro Lounge. You know, for your troubles.
Kalim Al-Asim:
Kalim is probably going to have the most negative reaction. Kalim would be running over to comfort and help the headmaster, not fully understanding what could have possibly caused you to snap. He first helps the headmaster (definitely making Crowley ham it up even more than he typically would), but makes plans in his head to talk to you. Obviously you had to have a reason for your outburst, though he doesn’t believe that reason could warrant the violence that occurred.
He knows that something had to have made you upset, so he mentally volunteers himself to act as your shoulder to lean on. He doesn’t understand, but he wants to. He’ll definitely chastise you later in his own Kalim way. Maybe he’ll get you to talk with Jamil. He’ll definitely understand you better. But that will definitely come with plenty of destressers straight from Kalim’s love and care (and his bank account).
Vil Schoenheit:
He was initially horrified, but let’s be honest – he gets it. He definitely would give you more flack for breaking your typical graceful demeanor then for the actual attack itself. He does however take a good moment to admire your punch technique. Vil has no pity for Crowley. Earnestly he somewhat thinks it was about time that someone stood up to him. However, he wishes you had taken him down verbally or intellectually insead of resulting to brute force.
Later he would corner you to talk about more advanced methods of attack that have a layer of elegance and control to them. He’d chastise you about losing your composure, but also reward you with a spa day to help rejuvenate your energy. Of course, he’s going to keep checking in on you to try and prevent other outbursts and allow you to keep your composure and your sanity.
Idia Shroud:
Idia could hardly believe what he was seeing. It almost made him wish he’d attended in person instead of over his screen. Almost. But the screen had the advantage of recording the punch and having the ability to rewatch the video as much as he wanted. He’d definitely share it with you if you ask, and maybe eventually post it online. Earnestly, this special event felt like an SSR character moment for you. Like he’d earned a special cutscene for ‘going’ to the meeting.
He already knew you had high strength stats from Ortho talking about you, but he had some doubts about it. Your charisma was so high and you seemed so prim and propper that it was hard to picture you as a DPS character. However, that definitely seemed accurate after today. Apparently someone had to max out your stress stat and you’d go bizerker mode. A perfect stealth attacker. Part of him wanted to test and measure your strengths, while the other part just wanted to watch and wait for you to snap again. Though maybe he could invite you to play a game with him and Ortho to try and destress you. Maybe.
If he got brave enough to ask.
Malleus Draconia:
He has no idea because he wasn’t invited.
I’m just playing.
So Malleus might not understand your outburst, but he’s definitely on your side no matter what. He might even follow you out of the mirror chamber to make sure you are okay. He’d definitely want a full explanation on what was bothing you, then ask if you wished for him to assist you. He’d get the entirety of Diasomnia to help with the fundraiser Crowley was expecting of you. And if anything could be solved with magic, then he’s your man.
Malleus just wants his Child of Man to be happy.
He doesn’t really care if others are upset about it. His cherished friend is all that he really cares about.
heyoooo mercenary yuu requester here again because a thought abt the beansfest event and the characters involved + the rest of the freshmen who are just watching all this go down
like yuu is on the farmer's team and throughout the entire game they are going absolutely crazy, he is taking ppl out left and right like odysseus killing all the suitors in the palace because he has basically been given a harmless version of a gun and the permission to go absolutely feral (bonus points if yuu somehow manages to spook jack while taking him out)
I’m really loving this little mercenary baby and it’s lowkey tempting me to make him into an actual character. Granted, that probably would require me to go watch a bunch of 2d animated Disney films to come up with a good mercenary-like character to twist him from. (Not that I’m going to have a use for him at the moment. lol)
But anyway, like the others this is a male!Yuu reader (though this can be read pretty gender neutral) who was raised as a mercenary. He’s trying his best to be a normal and good guy, but that’s kinda hard when you’ve never really had a ‘normal’. For the school’s Beanfest competition, he’s put on the Farmer’s team and he’s going to try his best. Unluckily for the NRC boys, his best is terrifying.
Headcannons are going to be grouped by boys with similar reactions. The characters will be listed at the top of each section. These are intended to be platonic (people are in fear).
Monsters Team: Azul, Jack, Rook, Jamil, Ace, Sebek, and others
Farmers Team: Jade, Cater, Vil, Floyd, Deuce, Epel, and others
TWST Masterlist / Mercenary!Yuu / Mercenary p2
Jack and Sebek
These boys are prepared for war. They know what you’re like and all the things you could do if you catch them. This is only cemented after they witness you taking out their teammates with accuracy and brutality never seen before. It would have been a bloodbath if those beans had been bullets. Earnestly it made their mouths dry. While they take it as somewhat of a challenge to keep up with you, they silently decide that they’ll only go out of their way to challenge you specifically if you set your sights on them first. They also definitely try to warn their teammates to stay away from you, but their teammates’ egos prevail and their warnings are not heeded.
Ace, Azul, and Jamil
They have no idea that the real monster coming for them is Yuu. Sure, they were warned and Yuu would joke about some pretty violent things, but this was going to be beyond anything they would ever imagine. If they happen to cross your path, they are dead in the water. They don’t even get a chance to fight back before you do enough damage to leave them bruised for days afterwards.
However, if they never directly get in your path (Ace) then they simply think everyone is exaggerating your abilities. There’s no way that someone is really like that – I mean other than Rook but that man is a freak of nature. Plus, you’re so boring. Always doing your jobs and school work while trying to be the nicest guy around. Sure you got a messed up sense of humor but there’s no way that translates into deadly skills.
Deuce, Jade, and Epel
This is the best thing they have ever had the pleasure of witnessing. Earnestly, they fully believed that you being on their team was a full ride to victory. They get to just watch as you absolutely demolish the other team. Earnestly, they should be concerned at how much joy you seem to get from tearing through classmates and strangers alike, but they are too busy trying to use your distraction to make their way towards the flag with no opposition. While it should be horrifying to hear your witch-like laughter as they rush past students laying on the ground and groaning while clutching where the beans from your gun hit them and were probably bruising, they instead focus completely on the goal.
There’s a good chance that they’re going to treat you after this is all said and done. You definitely deserve it.
Vil and Cater
Oh dear Sevens, what is happening?
These boys are completely blindsided by your abilities and willingness to do minor harm to your schoolmates. While they definitely respect your methodology and the sheer force of your power, they are also borderline terrified. Earnestly they are thanking any forces that be that you are on their side. They are also very glad that those are beans and not real bullets. They are honestly just frozen as they watch you take out droves of classmates. How you just smile as they fall before you. It is earnestly more than enough to make them fear you.
Though you do make for a wonderful distraction. A perfect asset for them to win.
Rook and Floyd
So now they are no longer focused on the game in the slightest. You have their complete focus. Whether they just watch you or they try to get your attention is completely their choice, but no matter what you have become the center of their world for the next few hours. They honestly don’t care about winning or losing anymore. They just wanna see what you can do.
