Airport Saga

We laugh at the late names who are announced by a warning  and at the fools who actually paid for priority boarding.  She'll try and make sure I'm the last to get on the plane,  I never liked the hustle and the shoving anyway.  Our last FEW minutes are shown by the time on the screen,  We have to make ABSOLUTELY most of it before I leave.  The tasteless gum you've been chewing has now become mine.  Can I see your nipples one last time?  "Excuse me sir, look! They're all almost finished in queue,  you'd best go, line up, don't want them to leave without you!  As 'the plane won’t be held for more than 5 minutes after  last passenger gets on', so no more time for laughter."  Now the sadness ensues followed by that lump in my throat,  as the man at the scanner, the line promptly approached.  Contract signed, this kiss could be our last,  as the man rips the stub off my boarding pass.  I stood in that final walkway leading to the planes door,  but looked back to the empty departure lounge floor.  There was still a bunch of people lined to get on the jet,  and I let them all go past 'cause courtney hadn't left yet.  Seating time ticked by, but neither of us cared.  And although separated, we adamantly stared,  'cause a minute with her face is worth a million trips,  with no room for my bags in the overhead compartments.  ALL EYES on the hostess demonstrating features of this craft,  while I sat reminiscing on the poking and the laughs.  "For life jacket inflation, simply pull the red straps."  All I can think of is how I want to go back.  "In case of cabin pressure loss, oxygen masks will fall down."  Tears swelling up in my eyes - No smile to be found.  "Emergency exits are shown by lights on the floor."  There'll be no more waking up next to her anymore.  By The Desperate Hen

The Same Thing (Again and again)

During high school, stereotypes begin to form and take place. Everyone is labeled and whether they like it or not, they’re associated with a certain group of people whom they ‘survive’ with during their adolescence.

Let’s take for example “sluts” - why do many of us discriminate against them so much? Because they don’t have the same standards as us? We bitch about them, we talk behind their backs, yet we don’t know why they do what they do. Is that why we don’t like them? Negativity is the usual human reaction to something that one cannot comprehend.

Maybe, like many of us, they’re lonely - except they’re not as stuck-up and self-conscious as us. Maybe they look for love in the wrong places. Maybe we’re the ones who should be hated, because we what we really are.

Because, sometimes the people that we judge so much - are pretty much going through the same thing as us.

How I Made It

I was truly inspired by Pharrell this time, he once said that “there’s something about Major 7 chords that’s just so…” and he didn’t finish the sentence. So I went ahead and messed around with Fmajor 7 and Bb major 7 - PERFECT chord progression. It sounds like happiness, with class. Weird. The drums are extremely Neptunes-esque, and it’s just got that vibe to it. Added some guitar and bass and WHABAM - good beat.

I’m stranded more or less on the ice-cream stick boat that I put to sea myself. The PVA glue is water-based, so the once solid, clear cement holding my hull together slowly dissolves into a watery swirl of salt and glue. Land was in view, but now the current, swells and winds navigate me seaward. Normal boats sail past often… The ones who do not see me for my size, see from my proudly sailed vessel that I am not a coxswain of practicality and consequently deem me unworthy of a role on their ship. I wouldn’t grab their towlines anyway. They shout ‘you only think of the now!’. I’m lost, cold, skinny, worried and alone, but it’s a nice night to be stubborn.
