To be fair, it probably had been a mix of both and her curiosity to see what this powerful Adjuchas would do next. But as Grimmjow had mentioned next, what mattered now was that the two of them had reunited. "Indeed, that is what matters most." Misaki smiled. She truly felt happy that the Sexta seemed as pleased and happy with their reunion as she was, although he hadn't planned and only stumbled upon her on happenstance. Either way, what she told him that he had very good leading skills and that he had what took to be a king was something Misaki really felt and thought about the male. She hadn't lied about it.
Losing his pack in only one night, which probably meant a couple of hours, must've been a really big hit for the Espada. Misaki hadn't lost someone in that way herself, Grimmjow being her only comrade and loved one throughout the centuries they spent together in their Adjuchas forms, but that didn't mean she couldn't empathize with his loss. The few human remnants of her former living life helped her have somewhat of an understanding on other's emotions and compassion. "From what you describe, I think that the bond you shared with them far exceeded your mere instincts, so maybe that's why the differences between your species didn't matter in the long run. As for how you feel, while I haven't gone through anything similar, I don't think that you should feel guilty." Misaki reached out to take his hand into hers. "What happened wasn't your fault. You couldn't have known what would occur. And I am sure that neither would your pack want you to feel guilty about it. It was probably an honor for them to die in battle for their king."
Misaki scrunched her nose in disgust. "What a horrible evil man! How could he do that and don't feel any ounce of remorse or regret?! Aren't soul reapers supposed to be closer to humans than we are? Even the least of the lesser Hollow wouldn't dare turn ones cubs against them!" Just the thought made her angry and her blood boil, but it also made her feel slightly frightened. If the plan didn't work and they couldn't dethrone the Reaper, what will become of their future? Will they have to live a life of fear that their cubs would always be in danger? Sure, the palace was protected and Grimmjow's teritorry was also under the Sexta's direct control, but what if one of their cubs would want to wander around the desert somewhere farther than their lands? Or worse, what if Aizen would do something to Grimmjow himself? He'd clearly had somewhat of an influence onto the Jaguar to have blocked his memories about Misaki. "I'm just... worried, Grimmjow. What if he ends up doing something to you if things don't go as you and the others had planned?"
For now though Misaki was going to put all of her trust into her mate and his friends. She didn't doubt that even if they weren't yet fully mated, Grimmjow would do anything in his power to keep her safe. Just like she felt this strong instinct and urge to protect him in her own way.
"It might've also been a good way of you training me. After all, with my small size I needed to build up my agility and speed to deal with the larger Hollow and other Adjuchas." It wouldn't have been too farfetched of her to conclude that Grimmjow might've started training her since back then too, although they probably weren't fully aware of this and mostly followed their instincts and predatory creatures.
If Misaki would've learnt about the unnecessary violent punishments pushed by Tosen onto her mate, Misaki would've grown angry again, her instincts kicking in. There was something very lonely about the way in which Grimmjow spoke about his loss and recounted the old times about his time spent with his pack. The loss itself was clearly still very much so fresh and it broke her heart to see that silent suffering in the Sexta's eyes. If she could've, Misaki would have definitely done anything and everything in her power to try and sooth that pain, even if just by a little. "Once the evil man is gone, maybe you could finally take your crown and be the king you were meant to be." That would've made his pack happy too, she thought to herself.
The time spent alone after he'd left was covered by a slight blur as well, with her memories before her own evolution being hazy. It did made sense though that his residual energy had kept her stable, preventing her from regressing, and even helping her evolve, since for the most part, from what Misaki could recall, she never felt weaker. Even if her meals were sparse and smaller in size than back when Grimmjow was doing the hunting, there wasn't really a time where the female Arrancar had ever felt like starving.
"Could be. Though, with how much I was eating and progressing while under your guidance and protection, it wouldn't surprise me either if that's what ultimately helped me evolve." Misaki nodded and gave him a gentle smile. "I don't really remember when I must've evolved, but I feel like it was probably sometime soon after you left. The time we spent together had already strengthened me a lot by that point." She wouldn't have ever been able to evolve into a Vasto Lorde herself, since that would've required more intense consuming of other powerful Hollow, but she still had it in her to evolve from Adjuchas into Arrancar.
"Well, I am glad that we were in similar boats in this regard. While there wasn't really any strong incentive for me to stay at our old burrow and wait, I always felt like I'd be losing a part of myself if I left, which I couldn't really explain back then." That and her trust into Grimmjow was what kept her from ever leaving. Misaki could feel it back then too that he was her other half, her chosen one so to speak, and no one would ever be able to replace him. "I don't care about what other of our kind do. I only want you and that's something that hadn't changed in over one hundred years." And it wasn't only cause they were both feline based, since she wouldn't have been with anyone else even if they would've been felids too.
Misaki looked down at his sword. Grimmjow always had his with him and so it made her wonder if the sword had permanence to it or if it was something that could appear and disappear on command. Since his was always in physical form, that should've cleared her question in this regard. "I think at one point I must've had it since I evolved into an Arrancar, but it probably disappeared because I couldn't train and raise my power further." The brunette sighed and then rested her head in the palm of her hand, groaning. "Why is this so complicated?" It made her feel suddenly so small and powerless, realizing that as an Arrancar, she was far behind on her skill level.
She could recall that he'd told her a few things about it before, as they were talking about her release and how she had never been able to unlock it. Just by going off of the description, it did sound a whole lot like how Grimmjow used to look in his Adjuchas form, which made her purse her lips in a playful way. "I might have not seen it yet, but if I remember correctly what you've told me about your release form before, it must look a lot like how you looked in your old form. In that case, I can safely say that I like it already without seeing it yet.~" Misaki then smiled sheepishly. She wasn't lying though, given that she'd liked him a lot as Adjuchas too and remembered his form as being very gorgeous and majestic.
Seeing Grimmjow start cleaning up the table after they were done eating made Misaki want to join in and help pick up the empty plates and help with washing them, but then again, she wasn't so familiar with all those human appliances and objects and where they belonged, so it was best to leave it up to Grimmjow. But next time, Misaki noted to herself, after learning the steps, she'd do them herself and help him out. "Thank you again for the very delicious meal. It was incredible!" She thanked him again, as a means to make up for her lack of participation in doing the dishes.
Misaki was then surprised that Grimmjow would want to take the training outside, but she wasn't one to complain about it. Nodding in agreement, she followed him out of the kitchen, then down the hallways and out the giant gates. They were both still butt naked, but since all this wide patch of land was part of the Sexta's territory, they didn't run the risk of running into anyone unknown. Plus, they both felt more good and natural like this anyways.
The female Arrancar took in the fresh cold air of the outside, feeling now refreshed after a good bath and meal. Her power was slowly starting to replenish and she was feeling ready to tackle her first proper lesson as an Arrancar.
She followed his instruction and went to the given position. Misaki didn't really know how she sould attack Grimmjow, so that was another thing that caught her by surprise. At first she'd assumed that they'd maybe work on her stamina or speed, but nope, the Espada had other ideas in mind and now he wanted her to go on and attack him with all she had.
Misaki hesitated for a moment. It wasn't that she worried she'd hurt him. With how weak she was, she wouldn't have even managed to land a scratch on him. But she wasn't particularly sure on how she should go about it. There was a time when Grimmjow had taught her how to produce a cerro in her Adjuchas form, but it'd been so long since then that she didn't even know if she could still do that.
After what must've felt like a long pause, however, the female Arrancar made up her mind on what she should do. From this range and distance, her best shot was to try and go with the cerro and at least try and see if she still had it in herself to make one. "Here I come!" So, Misaki did the best thing she knew how to and focused on her own instincts, trying to recall what she'd learnt back in the day about this ability. She had to do a great deal of concentration, but eventually her instincts kicked in and Misaki did her best, creating the power beam. It wouldn't be as big and strong as Grimmjow's or the other Espada, but it'd still be a cerro.
